I had this operation at Addenbrooks hospital carried out by possibly the most incredible surgeon in this country it took 7.5 hours his name is Mr Robert O'Neil. This man is a total legend and I will be forever indebted to this man he really is a bit special. Sir I salute you and your fabulous team. I wish you all the luck in the world sincerely Kim

Thank you again for your inspirational and extremely useful video log. On the occasions that I get frustrated, with the timeline, in regaining my strength and stamina. I realise that Life is only temporary, and I view the latter as a road to recovery. We are the lucky ones! Without adequate health insurance, we would be dead.

Thanks for sharing your journey. My Mom was diagnosed and is questioning whether to go through with the surgery or not. Videos like this are very helpful. I hope you are recovering well!

Hi Susan, I wish your Mom the best and hope she can beat this. This surgery I think sound much scarier than it really is. Its not a walk in the park but its better than the alternative. Stay Strong!

Thank you so much for posting this. My autistic son is in surgery right now. He can’t communicate pain very well, so hearing how things went for you is very important.

I'm not a cancer patient and my next surgical move it a total Oesophagectomy. I've been on a two thirds liquid diet for the last five years, with endless endosopic procedures, multiple suspected cancer investigations over that period as well. I'm certainly not looking forward to any of it.
