Zooming out, a $25k Tesla/Robotaxi and a bunch of Megapacks/Powerwalls everywhere makes so much sense...hope it becomes official the next few weeks!
I hope they don't do announcements and do products, like they've always done. If it takes another year well that's Elon time and we know how much will get done between now and then. Re-revolutionising car production isn't really something we can hit the refresh button on the browser for. We need a little more patience than that.

It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 20% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.
Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through a job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.
@@WillaRussel I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day-to-day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.
@@JosephBrannigan-df3gn I appreciate the implementation of ideas and strategies that result in unmeasurable progress. Being heavily liquid, I'd rather not reinvent the wheel, thus the search for a reputable advisor, Do you mind sharing info about this person guiding you, please?
@@OscarClark-gz4yd Finding financial advisors like Kristin Gail Cunningham who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
@@JosephBrannigan-df3gn I greatly appreciate it. I'm fortunate to have come upon your message because investing greatly fascinates me. I'll look Kristin Gail Cunningham up and send her a message. You've truly motivated me. God's blessings on you.
I test drove a model Y yesterday and had FSD drive me for 45 minutes through city traffic, highway, and construction zones without an intervention. And it was my first time using it.
Tesla FSD doesn't get road rage, doesn't text or use the phone while driving , doesn't keep looking at the kids in the back seat and doesn't drive drunk.
It drives like it’s drunk, however.
Nothing funnier than watch other EV manufacturers spending ads budget on Tesla RUclips channels :)
Agreed!
Dillon isn't paid by Tesla. There are 6 million people who individually own Tesla stock. There are also 6 million Teslas that have been sold.

Tesla Model Y Performance makes the best police car. Reduce chase times, improve officer’s safety, reduce operation costs and less maintenance due to long idle times. Security cameras ideal for evidence.
CyberTruck actually has some protection from 9mm bullets whereas regular police cars have none.
No other vehicles would perform as well and cost so little long term. No brainer for all Police departments.

What a great day it will be when they close the Tesla Collision Centre due to lack of work.
They will convert to wrapping facilities ❤
Teslas will still be hit or vandalized when parked, but I get your point. Too safe to crash would be revolutionary!
@@jamesengland7461 What a great PR point that would be, to say that 'all the cars that were damaged were victims of Honda Bump'.

Me too. I have to disengage Autopilot because it breaks all the time. Too timid.

Yep. I have experienced all those problems but the most annoying is the "Curb hugging": If you're on the left lane it hugs the left, if you're on the right, it hugs the right. I miss my all the time centered lane !! 😢
FSD is better than humans at seeing 360 degrees and not getting distracted. Reaction time should also become a big advantage among other capabilities. Also a lot of drivers overestimate their driving skills
The reaction time is what I’m really curious to see. I don’t want people to get into accidents but at the same time I want to know how good it is at evasive maneuvers.
@@FriedChairs
I've seen several accounts from drivers reporting they have a "wtf!!??" moment when the FSD does something unexpected, before realising it "saw" something before they did.

I believe you!
hahaha 😂
majority of mine are route changes. then there are parking lot routes, and not getting into turning lanes appropriately during traffic.
I agree Dillon that most disengagements in V12.3.3 generally does great other than navigation issues!! Lane issues are a thing, but also I was using it yesterday and a lane was being closed off with orange barrels and someone had knocked one over and it was in the middle of the road, and the car was going to run right into it. Also it almost ran over a Cat 2 days ago. These are like 2% of driving and other than issues with parking lots it has been really impressive. Navigation is the biggest problem right now!
yeah - i had to disengage recently as it was looking like it was going to run over a goose! lol
Dylan - deep respect for preserving your credibility and not being swayed by the Tesla crowd narratives. This is why I watch your channel - you don't mind pushing back on ridiculous claims when they sound over hyped (eg. that FSD drives better than some humans). Thanks man!!

@@DillonLoomis22 kudos for both reading comments & taking criticism on the chin.
I drive at least 1500 miles per week mostly city miles. Since getting V12, I've only had two critical disengagements.
Here here.
Although I disengage more because I throw the blinker and it doesn't change lanes and there's the swing it does when changing it. But overall I would say 95% of my miles go without any problems. ❤❤❤
@@rhmagalhaes oh, I disengage more too for navigation issues and lane choices. It's just that I've only had two critical disengagements where a potential accident could have occurred.
Fortunately, you were supervising FSD. I like the name change.
FSD Goes too fast over railroad tracks. Can hit huge pot holes if you let it. Doesn't know how to merge into lanes in tight traffic. Has issues with truck vs car speed limit signs
Thank you for the information. For FSD, I think one of the most important properties is the increased safety it can provide. It is always attentive, has much faster reaction times, and no blind spots. These are the most common causes of accidents...
Thanks again for keeping us all in the loop
my pleasure :) thanks for watching!
Great info/video as usual, thanks Dillon!
I have also run into that whole "lane indecision" issue in 12.3.3 both when just wanting to pass via the leftmost lane (annoying as "heck") or changing from the leftmost lane back into the center because it sort of but not wholly has kind of determined that maybe it could possibly be time to...no, nevermind, I'll just stay here and keep on...wait a sec, I CAN change to the center lane so maybe I might possibly... AUUGHH! You're killing me, Smalls (Musk)!!
Tesla collision and repair centers will be a valuable resource to train techs who will eventually move on to other shops. More qualified repair techs will be good for business!
FSD IS GREAT NOW. SO GRATEFUL FOR IT. IT AVERTED TWO FREEWAY ACCIDENTS THAT I NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AVOID. ITS 8 cameras are better than me. Both times, it saw the danger before I could. Tesla forever.
Great stuff Dillon
There is one thing FSD is better at than you Dylan, and that’s 360 degree 100% awareness with no possibility of distraction. The day will come that it will see that pedestrian that you missed.
The majority of S drivers see themselves as mediocre, while mediocre drivers tend to see themselves as great drivers.
I would suggest lane changes on FSD outstrip all human drivers due to no blind spot mistakes. Been driving FSD for two years and absolutely trust it and never close to even one mistake.
@@migmigjohnson9351 Doesn’t everyone think they are better than they really are on numerous subjects.
Have always appreciated your temper and well grounded views. I agree with your v12 comments. It’s been a great improvement but it’s not perfect nor a better driver than myself. Still wildly optimistic on the future but we’re not there yet. And that’s OK.
Or have a way of signalling a "navigation/routing" disengagement, similar to when I take a different route from Google Maps it automatically re-routes and continues with directions for the new route (without nagging).
Tesla has a office in Pune Maharastra state sourcing auto parts. Reliance is probably a great initial partner for cells and batt packs.
Reliance industries could assist Tesla and itself build neighbouring factories. Let's assume the M2/RT will be built there.
I'm curious about a few things with FSD - winter driving in snow/ice/sleet and how it will deal the road traction concerns, how many releases they make in short order with their training plaform apparently well configured now and up and running, interactions with people on the street -traffic/school zone directors etc and parking lots with lift gates for paying etc. Are they currently giving any kind of hit list of what type of scenarios they're focusing on in a timeline so people can actively try to feed data back to them of what's being encountered well/badly ?
Thanks!
You should do a video about the shortage of white seats. Thousands of Model Y sales have been deferred because of this (per Ryan Shaw). A friend who ordered a Model X with white seats has been given all kinds of excuses why she can't pick up her new Tesla. She's now on her fifth VIN and hoping it will arrive this time.
On FSD.
I'm not having lane issues with FSD. However, when on city streets. I no longer have an option to set or adjust speed with scroll wheel as the speed beside the limit indicator shows AUTO/MAX.
Also finding it accelerates well past the limit.
ie. Accelerates to 76klm/hr in a 50lm zone and that limit is noted on the U/I
I agree on the disengagement, that’s what I disengage for as well.
Yes, me too! Route choice and pot hole disengagement only!!!
I really liked Dr. KIA's (not Killed In Action) suggestion to add local & regular route preferences that can be saved/modified. Home work gym etc.. This would likely result in a massive drop in the intervention rate for most Tesla drivers who would be inclined to use such a feature (V12.x.x.x).
But I also like your thoughts in respect of critical/non-critical. Not sure if both concepts could be integrated into individual personal driver profiles. Probably can.

A Cybertruck police cruiser would be scary
I have had FSD 12.3 for about 10 days and have driven between Minneapolis and Detroit four times. I have engaged FSD on numerous occasions with mixed results. More often than not I end up with a critical disengagement because of peculiar or outright wrong behaviour on the part of FSD. Most of the FSD videos posted that I have seen are on city streets during the day. My FSD "testing", if you want to call it that, has been on freeways / Interstate highways and a lot of it at night.
If I had to give FSD a grade from A to F, it would be about a C. With respect to whether it is a better driver than me, I would say definitely not. I have been driving for well over 51 years and likely over a million miles total. I consider myself a better-than-average driver¹ and I find that FSD tends to be more aggressive than I am comfortable with - even in the "chill" setting. One example was approaching a 30MPH curved exit ramp at 55MPH with no sign that FSD was going to slow down for that turn. Taking that turn at anything over 40MPH is very dangerous. I had to do a critical disengagement in order to brake hard enough to get down to 35MPH going into the turn.
Some other things about night driving especially on Interstate 94 zipping across Wisconsin on a moonless night, I have often received warnings about various cameras being "blocked or blinded". I eventually figured out that it was so dark outside with no other vehicles in sight, the car *thinks* it can no longer see. This is not an FSD-related problem but FSD complains about not being able to see anything. And, somewhat related to the faux-blindness is my old friend Phantom Braking. Even on Traffic Aware Cruise Control, the car would reset the Max Speed to half the posted speed without warning and for no apparent reason. This is very dangerous because the car will attempt to brake to the lower speed and any vehicles following me will not be happy. On the two occasions that happened just this evening I just hit the accelerator and it immediately switches Max Speed back to what it was supposed to be.
I'm going to make some videos of this and post them at some point. Stay tuned...
¹I have to thank WhamBamTeslaCam for all those videos that have really helped me be more observant than ever!
Comprehensive summary. Great sharing, Thanks
Actually, South-East Asia / ASEAN (exc China & India) has same GDP, half population of India.
I’d not be in a hurry to seal the deal.
Certainly not under unfavourable terms. Tesla holds upper hand.
Defensive driving is the way forward 🧐
Exactly. I am S-tier also. Nothing is better than me. But much of it is good enough
Dillon your point is not lost about the quality of driver who comments on FSD as better than them. I think we need to take “judgement” off the table and recognize that human driving spans a range and that range even varies driver to driver based on many personal performance factors. If you are seriously disabled (in service, like me or otherwise) then there is less and less time when you are in “good” or “optimal” driving condition. So for me I just didn’t drive. Now FSD reduces the physical and mental stress SO much that it acts as a magnificent range extender for me personally and for my wife and family who depend upon me. I can’t wait for FSD5. Over 40,000,000 people per year won’t be able to wait either. RIP and hurry up TSLA!!!
I'm looking for that Powerwall webinar and can't dig it up. Was it taken down? Do you have a Direct Link?
Thanks for your fsd honesty. Unbiased (not fanboy) fsd coverage is critical now.
Melbourne, say it like Melburn
Brisbane, say it like Brisbuhn… ✌️
Where can we upload observations of FSD trial. I just drove 1500 miles in 5 days and want to put some details of my experience. I agree with your assessment of its good, but no where near my driving level.
My fsd was crap now it is good not great still very annoying not having cruise really sucks for a guy that has a heavy foot .it's not ready yet
Potholes are critical to avoid for MYPs
How would Tesla's insurance will rate it's own FSD 12? will it give it above 90? How would it rate it driving at night?
do you use hardware 3 or 4? 3 mite be the problem for sum.
As far as being in the wrong lane it is not uncommon for google maps to tell me to be in the far left lane when it should be the 2nd left lane and I get forced by traffic to go the wrong way. So is it FSD or is it navigation software?
3:09 legacy model S & X as in MCU2?
I want to see an all electric tuk tuk from Tesla
It won't have a two stroke motor so won't be going tuk-tuk
2:00 - I often miss lane. It's because of bad signs and bad road design. Actually, it's not a bad design, it's just that roads are changed and upgraded multiple times in the same location so now everything is "forced", and confusing.
Is FDS now comparable to a brand-new driver? Or even a learner driver?
Supervised autonomous driving is possible in New Zealand without any additional legislation or regulations. It's allowed by default. Fully autonomous driving without a person being responsible would likely require regulatory approval and possible legislation. Driver aids are no problem at all.
Does FSD even work in NZ? I thought we only got park assist and a small number of features but not drive in city. Would be near impossible in Auckland.
@@colingenge9999 FSD software isn’t available from Tesla in New Zealand yet, however there are no legal or regulatory barriers to it being rolled out. We have navigated on autopilot for highways and auto park and have done for a very long time. Drivers are always 100% responsible for the operations of their vehicles.
@@colingenge9999 I use navigate on autopilot all the time in Auckland. From the obvious progress in the USA Auckland streets would be trivial.
@@michaelwebsternz I use AP in Auckland regularly for whenever I am looking at the map. Seconds here and there but AP sees me NOT looking at the road and goes crazy. FSD in Auckland is one big edge case; no consistency at all but Neural Net would solve it eventually and for my part, I’d love to be a reviewers.
@@colingenge9999 I have a model X so no internal camera to worry me :).
Dillon Can you address the rollout of the FSD trial offer? I have a 2022 modelY long range with all the listed requirements, however, I have not received the offer. Perhaps an informal survey of your audience?
Having done business off shore it was important to have a partner in the countries I did business in. The bigger the better as they are more immune to extortion rackets in corrupt countries. They know how to cut through the red tape and how to pay appropriate bribes it necessary. Being a U.S. corporation Tesla can't pay bribes as its illegal but having a local partner that can perform with impunity makes bribery though unpalitable a way to accomplish what the country demands.
My biggest criticism of Tesla's Autopilot and FSD claims is the lack of public data. There will be a lot of arguments but at least we will able to listen to the arguments and make our own choices.
I've theorized for a long time that these systems are, at best, falsely safe due to the selection bias of only driving in the easiest conditions. I may be wrong but currently there's no way to know. Releasing all the data will finally answer that question, even if it raises other questions.
Tesla releases more verifiable data than any company I know... I suspect that's partly because they *collect* data which other companies simply can't obtain due to the Tesla superior sensor network.
.
Tell me more about this "selection bias of only driving in the easiest condition"?
.
I hope you're referring to Waymo/ Cruise, only driving in slow speed, pre mapped locations?
.
By the way, you haven't "theorised" (that would imply "tested and verified")
.
You have at best "hypothesized"
("Proposed an explanation, which *can* be tested")
.
(A subtle but important difference!)
I might go beyond that and say it's more accurate to state "in your (untested) *opinion* "?
.
(That's just my opinion)
On my second day of fsd. It is not as smooth as a real person and it becomes a little jerky when theres people nearby I wouldn’t say its unsafe since it moves away from the pedestrians, but that steering jerk is certainly not giving off confidence. Bottom line I’m very impressed but it certainly needs refining. I live in California as well
As excited as I am to see factories in India and Australia, what I'm most looking forward to at the moment is a Giga Argentina! Viva la libertad carajo!
would be nice if governments agreed on a special reflective paints on lanes to specifically assist FSD in worksites and know diffficult or high traffic areas😉🚗🖌
According to the presenter in the powerwall 3 presentation at 19:25 says that all cars will get power share next year 😮
If tesla gave a written prompt for a proper voice recording for FSD disengagements, I bet they'd get a lot more. Half the time, I'm still thinking about the situation before the chance to leave a voice note goes away.
What is the story with the model 3+? I transferred FSD and still don’t have FSD which is seriously disappointing.
IEEE and NTSB think differ from Tesla on the safety of FSD.

I'm guessing that BMW's million units sold is actually dominated by the i3.
According to Wikipedia BMW, i3 production finished off at 250,000 units-- so a quarter of the total sum.
So the other 750,000 is a combo of the iX, i4, i7, and the China-exclusive 3-Series BEV models (the i5 is too new to make enough an impact at that point).
Reliance is a BIG company, 15 years ago they alone stood for 4% of India's GDP. My guess is that the venture is to have super chargers at all Reliance's gas stations.
i dont have a good feeling about reliance, bringing another company to help build, means unnecessary costs

Hi Dillon Loomis 22 🎉🙂💓
the powerwall segment is kinda questionable, the "source" has 9 subscribers and the video has been taken down by now
There isn't really a need to boost the global profile of RIL as most parts of the world already know about it. They are one of the most massive and capable conglomerates on the planet and their owner is one of the richest people in the world. They do literally almost everything and are very capable. I could definitely see them as helping to develop the manufacturing facilities and smoothing complex approval processes as they can get things done.
If FSD use turn signals it is a better driver than most ppl. I think it has been able to do that for many years already.
Lazy and inconsiderate sobs don't use turn signals so I agree that FSD is already a better driver than those people. I test rode FSD12 yesterday and was amazed.
Wow. India have been dragging their feet for a very long time when it comes to Tesla.
FSD is GREAT ! Love it. Tesla should require viewing a short in car video to activate FSD.
Tesla needs to open more delivery / service / collision centers. You should not have to drive hours to get your car serviced or repaired after an accident. Northern Indiana is a Tesla desert with the only repair / collision centers being in Chicago. What a traffic nightmare. Tesla needs to plan out service centers like they plan out charging stations. You should only have to drive so far to get to one. You should not have to travel to the next state to get your vehicle repaired.
I know Tesla is trying to make vehicle need less service but accidents happen. Tesla needs more repair / collision centers so you do not have to drive to the next state to get your vehicle repaired. Having a large, delivery, service, collision center in Northern Indiana would spread out the overall service area.
Many people are reluctant to buy a vehicle from a company that has no dealers / delivery /collision or repair centers within a reasonable driving distance.
Lane changing - who has not got into the wrong lane has not got behind the wheel of a car. Not sure if the Tesla learns from each instance, but it should then tell all others in the area or entering the area.😊
I was in a 3 with FSD12 engaged. It chose the outside lane which became turn only at the light (common mistake). Light was green- It signaled and changed lanes.
Mach e does not start at '39.9 thousand dollars'. I t starts at '40.0 thousand dollars'.
Well reliance would be a great partner to Tesla since they have beat 4g and 5g network in India, there own payment gateway, huge media and marketing companies. They also have lots of money to invest, leverage to borrow from market and invest in charging network. Not to forget there connection that gives access to anything in India.
2:50 💯 Anyone saying v12 is better than them is being hyperbolic or is a genuinely terrible driver. It's great for what it is, but has a long way to go to being better than good drivers--it just has a huge leg up because how many drivers, regardless of ability, are messing around on their phone or otherwise being distracted/dangerous behind the wheel. The fact that it's always paying attention is huge. I will say, though, that I'd probably be kinder to v12 if it was level 3/4 and I wasn't paying attention since it does a lot of dumb little things that obstruct/confuse other drivers or cause you to get stuck at a light or in traffic you'd have otherwise avoided--which annoys me when paying attention but would be irrelevant if I didn't have to pay attention. So the context you view it through definitely matters.
❤
Human driving only has "critical disengagement" (ie: hit something) on the order of once per several years. FSD is far off and we need to stop being blind to that.
120 people die each day in the United States from car accidents
And if everyone was on FSD as it is, it would be 300 a day.
2:36 80% of all drivers say that they are great drivers, they also say that 80% of all the other drivers are bad drivers
The arguments i have heard from people saying FSD is the better driver are awareness and atentiveness...
THIS JUST IN… Toyota isn’t rolling out Version 0.0.0 of their nonexistent FSD system to their non connected vehicle fleet.

Please make Tesla cars in Aussie
Question : have you ever been in a Waymo ?
If yes was the Waymo better or worse driver than you ?
If better, ok FSD has still work to do
If worse, FSD is as capable as L5 Waymo …
What happened to Giga Mexico??
Dillon thank you for another excellent program. 🎉
Electicity
The India story is strange. The only vehicle to be sold in India would be the M2 that supposedly has been cancelled and FSD is not really feasible for India, so for M3 and MY or CT, the market is wrong and prices much too high. Maybe it all about parts and batteries. That's the only think left and India is ambitious in the area of energy storage and solar
Biggest issue with producing EV's in India is that their grid is in its infancy and can't currently support EV's. Power Grid Corporation of India is operated by state-owned Power System Operation Corporation. As the most populous country in the world, it only has an installed power generation capacity of 417 GW. Compared to US with less than 1/3 the population which back in 2021 (latest data I can find) had an installed power generation capacity of 1,213 GW. India's grid can't support EV's at any significant volume. instead they should build a battery gigafactory (like Giga Nevada) and work to increase battery storage systems (BESS) to strengthen India's grid then they can look to tranportation as a fast follower.
Lets rephrase...FSD might not be a better driver....but it is most certainly a "safer" drive already today.
I feel like I’m a very good driver. But FSD lane centers overall better than me
If it’s critical I’ll voice respond with what was critical
