Meet the DDJ-SR2 - Dedicated controls for the latest Serato DJ features.
We’ve upgraded one of our popular Serato DJ controllers to create the 2-channel DDJ-SR2. You can use the new dedicated controls to get hands on with the latest features in Serato DJ, including the Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack, with Key Shift, Key Sync and Pitch Play controls. The lightweight and portable DDJ-SR2 is Serato DVS Upgrade Ready (licence available separately), making it one of the most compact DVS-ready controllers1 that enables perfect harmonic control using Serato DJ.
The DDJ-SR2 inherits design traits and features from our professional DJ gear, including multicoloured Performance Pads that give you instant feedback on pad modes and playing statuses, plus generous space between faders, buttons and knobs for comfortable, intuitive mixing and scratching. Thanks to the high-quality aluminium-finish top panel and jog wheels, the controller is approximately 18 per cent lighter than its predecessor, so you can easily take it wherever you go.
To help you get the most out of the controller, the Serato DJ Enabled DDJ-SR2 comes bundled with the Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Pack. Pitch 'n Time DJ allows you to shift and sync the key of your tracks as well as increase and decrease BPM to extreme tempos while retaining the original key of the music. This means you can maintain perfect key while mixing, cutting and scratching any combination of tracks.

Just get rid of my DDJ SR in July. I was waiting patiently for the DDJ SR2 to drop, but one thing they should have added is the time LED light needle indicator.
This is the perfect controller for mobile gigs I can get in and get out and there's nothing you cannot do on this

I think that DVS bit will be the biggest selling point for this controller. The level meter is also a nice touch.
Dru TheDJ The NS6ii and Roland DJ 505 all have DVS as well. The Mixars Primo will too except no idea when that will ever arrive according to Mixars...
Yeah, saw that on the NS6II. I think all 'professional' controllers going forward will have to adapt to that or get left behind.

So I just got this controller I have to confirm that the sound card sounds very nice as for the small pitch faders it's really not an issue the pitch is very accurate and feels great. My dislike is that the cross fader cut cannot be tweaked from the Pioneer utility (like the S9) it can however be tweaked through the SDJ software audio settings (like the SB2) with the xfade setting on full the cut is very sharp. Overall solid controller.
When he recorded the scratch sample & f'd w it & the pitch fx at the end!!!

I’m a Screw DJ PROFESSIONALLY and it’s fuckin amazing for professionals. MY ONLY ONLY thing I wish it had, is the LEDs like the SX2 or SZ2 on the Jog Wheels

They added added AC power and RGB pads. Cool. But the NS6ii is much more bang for the money. Its all metal, dual sound cards and has jog displays.
I am a big fan of Numark, but I don't see a point for them producing ns6 II. There are some obvious reasons to make a NV Mk3 with dvs support and dual screens but ns6 II is really something from the past

Daniel Carthen I hear you on that one but those are really big and would make the use of the turntables a long ready these are just right
They definitely made the NS6ii smaller with DVS in mind.
They also added DVS support. This was a big selling point for me because I use the controller with my turntables. It's basically my Serato mixer.
They took out the Crossfader Curve!!!
Dope I just don't understand why they didn't do more the center of jog wheel. You got a donut hole of dead space. I need a visual playhead.
DJ Angel Ortiz Totally agree. Design flaw but that's how they get us we have to upgrade to a 4 channel just to get led indicator jogwheels. What about adding it for the 2 channel though🤷🏼♂️

bsfdk2 I do agree but I must say it wasn't really a problem for me on the original SR.
DjTecniq it wasn't a problem for me even on the ddj-sb, I don't know why so many djs complain about pitch faders

Aditya Rajpal yes, but you can save your money and buy the previous one. ddj-sr 1 is pretty much the same controller but without dvs support and rgb pads, Also pitch'n time is not included with ddj-sr1

It's official I just preordered it. Got a great deal $100 off. Even though it doesn't have LED ring for cue indicator I'm not too worried I learned on real vinyl anyways.

Love this product currently i own a sx2 which has never let me down, but always short of space for my turntables and only ever use two channels so this may be a good solution. I would be interested to know how it sounds . If the sound is on a par with the sx2 then this is on top of the christmas list. Nice move Pioneer
Great Controller... I just wanted more channels. I just order the SX2 today; upgrading from the SB2..(can't wait until it arrives)... I hated the fact that I couldn't use it as a stand alone mixer. That just created more equipment that I have to haul around. But I think the SR2 is great for those who want something compact and have over 75% of the functions that the more expensive controllers have. It does have a clean & professional look. The lack or LED indicators on the jog wheels to let you know where you are in the track, is kind of a deal breaker in my opinion. But if you are on a budget starting out, that shouldn't be a big deal. I have had a lot of beginner controllers, all from Pioneer. I have out grown them, so now its time to step into the big leagues......

Wish they would do another one this same size with dual usb.
Would be nice if the third itteration of this thing had visual feedback on the jogwheels. Most definately not going to buy the huge sx2 or sx3 just because of that. Too big and I dont really need 4 chanels... would be nice to see this feature on the smaller controller.
Damn, I was really hoping for longer pitch faders and jog wheel displays. Guess I'm going to have to get the Mixars Primo instead.
Handy Skratch unfortunately the Mixars Primo has no release date yet. They keep back tracking and have no ETA on the date believe me I've contacted 3 DJ stores already. Shitty

Looks good, but I had way too many problem with the SR-1!!
Is the mic jack in balanced? And has it got the improved input (the SR1 input was super weak, and I haven't even bothered trying the SB2 one). Now the SR(2) is almost as much as a proper 4-channel SX2 I would hope so!

Had the SR sold it to get the SX2 last month. I have 45 days to return the sx2 and now I see this sr2 perfect 2 channel controller but.... the missing led indicators on the jogs is what will make me stick with the SX2
great i just got the denon mc4000 two weeks ago because i thought pioneer would never make another serato controller let alone a 2 channel version of the SX line with XLR. depending on price i still may get it and sell my SX1

I used the ddjSr 1 for couple years then I buy ddj SX1 then ddjsx2 then mcx8000 Denon then pioneer s9 for my turntables and finally ddsz2. I decide to sell ddjSr and ddj SX1 & ddj sx2 I still missing my ddjSr very strong controller compact fit every were very solid controller for sure I will get this ddJ sr2 ....!!!!!! Now this have xlr outputs plus I can connect turntables or CD players the old ddjSr only come with 1 aux output the only issue I notice in this one is you need to connect to the electricity AC
what I love from the old version ddjSr was just USB cable and you ready to go ....
superdjrumbero AC power means more volume and headroom. This is good. No USB dropouts.

For me is better without power ac cable if you have it on case not big deal but if you don't used case can be complicate if you have to connect you laptop plus de mixer also I never see any difference between my controller ddjsr1 and my other big brother ddsz2 both same quality for me and I always used at clubs is just my opinion..! Pioneer know how to build dj equipament
With the XLR outs and stand alone mixer feature they had to add the xtra power. This will sound so much better now. Brands don't impress me. Only features. I have a DDJ SZ, Numark NS7ii, Numark Mixtrack Platinum and DDJ SX2.
Daniel Carthen for me pioneer is the best Dj manufacture but is my opinion just my opinion i respect you opinion I been using pioneer for several years never single problem maybe that is the reason for my opinion about pioneer....!!!
I hear ya. I've had Vestax, Various Numarks and all kinds of other gear. Dont be afraid to try something new! You might be surprised. I just had to learn how to fix the fader on my DDJ SZ. Ugh. Such a pain but easy now that I know how.
Ahh no wonder saw a lot of cheaper used DDJ SR being sold everywhere on the Internet. Was browsing for SR today on the Internet, then this pop up on my youtube notification just in the nick of time. I wonder how much is this going to cost?

Actually it indeed looks like LED rings are in the middle hoping maybe a firmware update will illuminate them...is kind of a deal breaker would like to see where I'm at on the jogwheels for juggling.

Just out of curiosity, do those new jogs with the lights have a position indicator when the track is playing or are the lights there just for show?

Nope. They cheaped out. No vinyl position indicator. Which makes this unit a non-starter for me.
This is of course cool and all, but will this unit freeze up like the SR does when the key lock function is activated? That's the reason I sold mine, I felt ripped off by Pioneer.
AARON REYES that may be due to your computer specs or firmware. I've played on one and never had that happen...

Wheels should turn. If their immulating turntables, they should turn. It's difficult looking at the screen to see where to catch the beat. And real DJ' s know that.

Hola Tavo, hace justo un año lanzamos la WeGO4, aún es un poco pronto para saber sobre la posibilidad de una nueva versión 😉 No hay controladora en el momento más portátil que la DDJ-WeGO4 🙂
si la hay, la de Numark pero la verdad se ve horrible, lo que le falta a la wego es una ganancia por canal y leds indicadores de ganancia por canal, podría pedir pads pero la verdad los botones que tiene en jog estan muy bien optimizados para ahorrar espacio.
