Exactly!! Me too!!! I will always hold Simms in high regard as far as analysis because of that. He didn't go with the masses, he took a shot and trusted his evaluation and spoke facts and it's showing today!!!
Lamar Jackson is one the best QB's ever and his skills are top notch to Vick no doubt about that. And Lamar needs a championship or 2 to show the haters that he's a winner in the NFL too.

No QB wins SBs in his own. He can only do it when he has the right coaches and surrounding casts. Everyone is facing that reality with Mahomes and especially Russ right now. You put any elite QB talent in the wrong situation and he will struggle.
He might get his shot this year with Chiefs having a slump year, but once they figure out the WR situation in KC, Lamar is going to have a hard time winning multiple rings in the AFC, not to mention all the other good teams in the AFC .
@@HotDawgzzzzzyou're acting like Lamar doesn't have talent, like he can't throw and like the Ravens doesn't have good names and incredible talent there. I was blessed early in life to watch Michael Jordan go from hitting winning shots at North Carolina to changing the game to what we know today. I grew up in Louisville and from the first time Lamar took the field for the Cardinals I knew I was witnessing the beginnings of greatness. Fast forward to today, and Lamar has changed the landscape of football across the board with his amazing competitiveness and play. Thank you Mr. Jackson, if you never play another down again you’d still be able to say you changed football for the better, but I hope you play for many years to come, get multiple Championships, and one day when your older and moved on from football, you will be able to look back and understand what greatness you brought to the game and what effect you had on the fans. You did it all your way. My hats off to you Sir.
It was evident in 2018, and definitely in 2019, that Lamar was the next Ravens QB. His ability as a dual threat is the best this league has seen. Perfect for the one franchise who prides on physicality and rushing
It’s crazy how fickle the media and most fans are. 3-4 years ago they were singing his praises. Then around this time last year, they were calling him a bum, now they’re back singing his praises again.
I will always root for Lamar Jackson he is one of my favorite players all-time. This kid has been totally disrespected, but he continues to win games. The only thing left is for him to win the Superbowl this year. It's time to get over the hump of losing in playoffs.
As a Steeler fan, I have to speak the truth Jackson is the best QB in the NFL period He deserves the MVP this year and I have to say I do hope he win the super-bowl being we dont get in of course.
Great video , This took me back through all the great memories of Lamar Jacksons amazing record setting and winning career thus far. It shows his growth and ability to keep pushing through all the adversity that has come his way . Keep going, Lamar Jackson 💪 Now no team drafts a pure pocket passer. Every QB has to be able to at least be able to escape the pocket and extend plays .
I'd say 4 decades. Joe Montana, Lamar and Burrows are the only 3 QBs in my years into the NFL that I never tire of watching. I'm not from their cities but I love those extraordinary men! Ring or no ring!!💯
@5:33 This is why I respect Chris Simms even though he's had some questionable takes over the past 2 years. He was one of the only people to see Lamar's potential before the draft.
Love Lamar Jackson, and he has raised his game as a passer! The NFL will never make him the face of the league because the league brass doesn’t like his looks or his voice. If he looked and spoke like Jalen Hurts or a young Warren Moon, we would all be sick of his image being everywhere. He would be in every other commercial you see on television, just like Mahomes. It’s sad but it’s true. Maybe that’s a good thing for LJ. He can keep bring the underdog.
18:40 one of the most underrated and cool-to-see moments in this video. Whether the play is successful or not, the fact that your coach trusts in your instincts and ability enough to ask you as the QB what you want to do here, is amazing and something that should be shown more in the NFL.
Dude put in so much work in the offseason working on his throwing mechanics He’s gotten so much better more accurate pocket passer throwing on the run makes check downs, reading defenses, Making audibles & he Only runs when he really needs to
Watching this, this shows how much of a team player he is. Despite how well he plays, he never wants attention on himself. He's always pointing the finger to his team and praising their accomplishments.
NFL still cant get passed the racism.. the first black nfl QB was forced to switch to WR even after he had a good season and lead his team to the playoffs. We still see the bias with black QBs today. Lamar is my favorite QB and im glad he quieted his haters and doubters over the years. He will definitely have a super bowl ring to go along with his mvp and heisman trophy.
I miss Max Kellerman, his analysis were incredible. Especially with all the BS you see on ESPN today. Crazy how you could already see in Stephen A body language his total disdain for Max. By the way, there is nothing more racist than suggest to a QB Heisman trophy winner to play WR. That analyst should have fired on the spot.
Facts. They still say the same things about Jalen. He went from being MVP frontrunner this season, having a slump, to people saying he is incapable of reading a defense and should "be a running back." White QB's like Lawrence and Allen have slumps and it's, "oh the coaching isn't helping them." Really disgusting.
And he didn’t have a team the last couple years he’s actually got a supporting cast around him we the Baltimore Ravens will be changing the narrative and people will fear it people not like it, but they have no choice but to love Lamar Jackson
Lamar has done such a great job at improving his passing. His running is just special. His mother seems like a very special women. She did a phenomenal job raising a very special human.

Facts, he was arguably the most dominant QB I ever seen with a trash team
Lamar was the best mobile QB in college. Hard to sack and can break tackles like a RB. Now he is probably the best mobile QB in the NFL.
I remember chris simms was one of the only ones ahead of the curve and actually analyzed Jackson coming out
Sims knows his shit... He been a fan since day one
