- What's up everyone today we'll be taking a look at another obscure FPS known as Legendary... It's a game that revolves around Pandora's box, mythological creatures, guns, and bad acting.... what could possibly go wrong.

Also, in this games defense with level design, the first F.E.A.R game was completely the same. Just an office building under construction. But also a phenomenal game. I miss these kind of games lol
I was 14 and saw the Greek mythology in a FPS. I jumped all over it. I absolutely loved it. I also liked their other game, turning point: fall of liberty, for what it was. Both games could have been triple A titles with more backing and money. Codemasters overlord is another developer who made pretty good games but nobody would back them.
This should get a reboot but make it better

The game could have been better, but it didn't really turn out great as many people would thought it would be. I, myself, like this game and I wish there were more games like this, something like Call of Duty while fighting these monsters and not just zombies. It would be so awesome
5 games... for a small studio, 5 games is a pretty decent run! I mean you need what, 2-5 years to complete a game nowadays... solid 13 years in the business... with the way this business stacks the odds against you, i'd say that's pretty remarkably solid for a smaller crew.
The palette of the game... well it's the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, you're going to have monotone textures because VRAM is tight and S3TC can have two colours and a gradient per a 4x4 block - try to introduce a different hue, and things go bad, so you kind of need a lot more texture resolution to make that palatable. So this tech constraint has informed the stylistic choices of the vast majority of games of that generation. There is often no true HDR in that era, and in the absence of that, the shading and lighting math tends to unfairly desaturate surfaces, so that's another reason for overall prevalence of desaturated design, so it would be less apparent - and this look kind of became trendy and became prevalent whether it was technically justified or not.
Bad game performance? Uhm i think i played the game on Windows 7 with a GTX295 or GTX750Ti and an Athlon II x2 or Phenom II x6, at 1080p, i'm not sure what the computer was at the time, and i had... the performance that you generally expect out of an UE3 game on either of these systems, VERY VERY SMOOTH 60 with an occasional dropped frame here and there whenever a new hunk of data comes in. If it's doing badly on PS3, well i wouldn't be too surprised, that's entirely to be expected.
I was kinda thrown off by game's weird pacing though, so i hadn't played all too long. I think the premise is actually attractive enough, i mean, the monsters here are great, and they're tearing up all these cities, and i don't actually care why, but i see, i shoot, good enough for me. Oh what i vaguely remember loving though - playing on PC with an Xbox360 pad - was the force feedback. In most games, you don't pay attention to it, it's just kinda there in the background, but sometimes it's just hilariously punchy and i think this was the case here.
As to how a developer of a fairly highly regarded CoD game rolls down towards trash tier... well first off the first game wasn't that amazing either, it also was second-tier and low-budget, but it was made within a framework of a publisher and a series where there would be an amount of uncredited work done and handed over to the dev, and likely a bit more commissioned externally, and it was made at the time when the genre of console FPS was relatively new and unpolished overall and expectations were relatively low yet just as they were about to skyrocket.
I love the shit out of this game! Along with turning point. I have played through these games countless times.
The werewolves are cool, but other than that, it is surprising how lame mythological creatures are.
Pro tip: if you ever get lost just look upward. Around 8 time the path was hidden above my head.

Just curious, how is the ADS in this game? Do you press LT to aim like CoD or down on the right analog stick like Halo or Rainbow Six Vegas 2?
haven't played this game since the review. I'm very certain it's like Cod. I don't remember it being with the analog stick.

Bulletwitch for XBOX 360!
They wanted it to be big (they made a comic book series) and it came soooo close to being super great. But only play it if you are going to get to the last level where you unlock the METEOR spell. That shit levels entire city blocks and said blocks get scattered around the battlefield (literally). And it is the first game I know of with bullshit DLC, and since it was the first they only charged 25 cents compared to 20 bucks.
I've been wanting Bulletwitch for a long long time... just never wanted to pay the prices store have had them at.
See i like mythological creatures, always have honestly... except for those fire monsters.... those i'll agree are pretty lame.
Not gonna lie, I always liked this game. It's a crappy game, but it's a crappy game that's pretty fun.

The only memorable game they ever made was Finest Hour, damn. Didn't these guys also make Ride to Hell: Redemption? I may be wrong.

@@FoxParasyte So I've heard. Can't even find a single gameplay video of the multiplayer in action.
I played a few matches at launch on Xbox 360. The multiplayer was fine, especially a mode where two teams had to kill werewolves to collect their animus and fill machines while also dealing with enemy players.
But yeah, it did die pretty quickly compared to say AVP 2010 on 360.
The people who said that about yaiba never played they may say they did but I believe there liars because yaiba is average game I really like it.
I never take people's "worst game ever" comments seriously.
I've heard people say that same shit about call of duty. Like fine you can dislike the game. But not liking something doesn't qualify for being the worst... Objectively
Yo Foxxy, I got this game yesterday after wanting to try it out. I'm a guy that is known to enjoy some bad games. I don't like this one at all. My main problem comes down to weak gameplay where monsters are real bulletsponges, shooting doesn't feel satisfying, the story relies solely on those stupid PDA messages too. I don't like the health system at all. Holding Y after every fight for up to 30 seconds is just not fun, it breaks the flow so much. I would play Secret Service over this mess tbh, at least I seemed to enjoy most of Cauldron's games which came off as enjoyably bad (outside of the Civil War games which I really liked).
DON'T BUY THIS GAME ON THE PS3 BECAUSE NOW THE SERVERS ARE DOWN YOU CANNOT SAVE WHICH IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT!!!
