You are really mastering the painting of the skin, and all those hobby cheating tutorials(tattoos, cuts..) are a true help to go a step further. By the way, the shoulder of the giant looks like the perfect place to practice the hobby cheating chapter number 59 ;).

How would one go about making a crusty scabbing effect? I have a mini like the one you were just painting that I did a bad job of clea ing on and I base coated it and the "oops" is more prominent now. I figured that if I could make a crusty wound, it would fix it. I am glad I stumbled on this tutorial. Thank You!

That's a great idea to turn around a happy accident. So my best advice would be to use this video and make those big built up bruises a deep purple, then a light violet over that on the raised areas. Then some red around and over it just like the cuts here. I think you could really make them easily into raised bruised scabs. Alternatively, if you wanted them to be newer scabs, you could do some dark hull red and lighter pink on top. A little reikland fleshshade and/or brown around it.
      I hope that helps. :)

How would you do scars and cuts on something with fur? Like say the side of a wolf or a bear. Thanks!

So it would depend. If it's a small scrape, then we are talking about fur not being removed and I would just soak some blood in that area of the fur, starting with deep red and a little brighter fresh blood on top. If we are talking deep cut, I would cut out the fur and then on the skin surface, I would follow basically this same technique.

Yep, I didn't quite smooth out that green stuff enough, but I am happy enough with him I suppose for the time invested.

May I ask what was the base model for the conversion? :)
