Watching in 2022, now means that seniors have absolutely no hope. The system is broken, capitalism is a monster that has consumed us all. Please redo this program with today's outlook.

The Nurse Assistant that actually take care of the patient don’t see any of that money. Where does the money go?

That lady is nuts take your ssi at age 62 you can still work part time if you have to you could drop dead waiting to turn 70 then your family gets none of that money you never got to collect I'm so happy I'm getting my money now at 62

I am going to be 64 in June. I work part-time. I was told if i wait until 66 i can get half of my husbands. That will be $1250.00 a month. If i go out now I'll get about $750 per month. It wouldn't benefit me to retire now.

I am paying for a private pension plan but most of my friend don't. I am worry about my finance when I am older, but my friends think their children or the government will provide for them but I don't trust anybody

I just turned 62 this year and after retiring from being an OFW 3yrs ago gets a humble financial support regularly from my hubby who's overseas. Nevertheless I still keep a small time income of my own once the spouse is long gone! We do our best and God takes care of the rest!

This could work for the American culture but not for all Asian countries like ours. Here we have a closely knit family where the adult children looks after their parents or hires a caregiver who stays with them

That’s the it has been for many cultures for thousands of years.

That’s slowly been changing over the years as the young no longer care about that. This is why China past that law requiring the sons or daughter to take care of their elderly parents

Parents should live with their adult kids... Retired people shouldn't maintain their standard of living. They should cut their standard of living or cost of living by at least half.

gotta live beneath your means - don't need a new car every 4-5 yrs, new TV, new stuff ---people are in debt and no foresight about their retirement years, in my opinion.....nor are they going into professions that can sustain income for decades - need to find jobs with security

I'm age 72 and expect my IRA to run out in approx. 8 years. I will only be 80 then. I had assets of $350.00 at one time but have had to spend them for out-of-pocket medical costs, a hospital bed in our home and emergencies. When my 77-year-old husband passes (with many health issues) I will lose my own SS income and will likely lose my condo at that time (unless it is paid off by then which is unlikely.) Our condo mortgage is our only debt. Not only do we not have long term care insurance we don't have any life insurance!!

The medical profession that is controlled by the pharmaceuticals is creating this crisis with it's toxic potions called drugs and vaccines. It is the worst form of consumer fraud. It is voodoo to tell patients they will die without these toxic drugs and then lie to them that there are no cures. Food is our medicine. If these old people were put on www.gerson.org they would get better and live the rest of their lives like normal people instead of the helplessness put on them by medical consumer fraud.
Take control of your own health before you become a victim of this medical Mafia created by pharmaceutical who are murdering millions.

This is a losing battle when the costs keep increasing faster than anyone can save. So every dollar saved is worth less and less.

Life is slavery and never ending worrying. Death is liberation, a return to the sweet nothingness of non-existence. That is why, unlike my parents, I did not have kids. I hope I will have access to the hemlock cup when my health and/or money runs out.
