LK, wanted say you do a really good job of talking through ideas and viewpoints. You're one of the most measured and thoughtful voices in the FGC, and that adds a lot to the community. Thanks for all the great content!
Yo LK I really appreciate you man, I'm pretty new into fighting games, I bought strive as my first one a couple months ago and was having so much fun even though I didn't know what was going on, but I really wanna improve and get better to enjoy fighting games at their full protentional, I'm very competitive so casual play really isn't for me, I hope some day I'll become good and confident enough to go to some local tournament or something, I'd really like to be a pro one day or something but it seems so difficult and stressful, I'm still having so much fun playing fighting games though, thank you for making guides and stuff like this, this is my first melty blood and I love the game so I'm thinking about becoming the best I can become in this game and giving it my all! :)
I was actually going to say maining Shiki is like playing Adult Gohan but you mentioned many of the characters feeling that way! Thanks for the MB content :)
As primarily a strive and sfv player I’m having a tough time approaching neutral In melty. Do you have any tips or a video you’d recommend on the topic ?
Look at situations from more angles. This means looking at situations dependent on screen positioning relative to the other character. In sfv or most grounded games you really just have to worry about the ground vs ground game and the occasional jump. Since you only have the ground versus ground game it's easy to evaluate what moves people will do at what ranges and counter play it. In melty blood and anime games you have to work on recognizing more varied neutral situations, and the most likely to be used options in those situations. For example you want to break down situations in this format: Ground to air Air to ground Ground to ground Air to air (Note: you need to do this for both characters are you in the air and they are on the ground? Vice versa for each format) Where are you and where is the opponent at and what options do they have. I am new to melty as well and was having trouble with neutral too(since I come from more grounded based games)but once I started breaking down situations in that format it, and evaluating possible moves and situations it made it much easier to understand what the opponent is most likely to do in any situation, then counter Like in any fighting game. But also watch j.g's foundation for movement in melty too. Hope this helps.
Those charged normal overheads are pretty slow but one thing they are good at is blowing people mashing crouch shield. Once someone guesses crouching shield they *cannot* switch to standing shield on reaction. They're stuck. You get a beefy Fatal Counterhit starter. Also Arc's charged 5B has clash frames once it gets about halfway though the animation so it also will mess with reversals.
I'm surprised you didn't mention BC air throw into double jump/air dash aerial safe jump or aerial whiff into low, but I guess that's more oki than pressure
you look really tired for whatever reason idk LK but you should take care of your health man. glad to see you playing melty, im rooting for you in tournies. get sleep & drink water
at the ending pressure, why are you pressing A and B while trying to get C normals? I get 2A>2AD is for shield countering but im not sure about the other.
Does anyone know of a good Kouma player? I'm having trouble with offense as him, his normals feel too small I wanna see how a good player maneuvers around that
Lord Knight the goat for putting the ad read timecode in the description

Thanks as a mbaacc c roa player having withdrawal symptoms such as only using honest mids this video has helped my orb addiction
Feel blessed that you're maining Red Arc.
This video is fantastic, and thanks for time coding things out!
Hoping to see more match footage as an aspiring Warc
Just the video I needed. I need to improve my blockstrings and defence and videos like these help a lot
Great video. It is a Shane more people don't discuss pressure even though it is the heart of offense in every fighting game
It's easier to just complain about shield on Twitter
This video was amazing, I was really having problems with my pressure so this helped out a lot. Have you thought about doing a video for defense??
Oh thank God you posted this
Really liking these guides.
I was actually going to say maining Shiki is like playing Adult Gohan but you mentioned many of the characters feeling that way! Thanks for the MB content :)
oh, sponsored. Let's go!
Thanks LK this helped a lot. When is the basic oki video?
i've learn so much from your videos. Thanks for charing your knowledge. Saludos desde Chile!
Real LK fans watched the whole ad.
Fun fact, every single 5A is -1
thank you so much lk

Watch j g's "Foundations for Melty Blood movement"

Are planning on doing individual character guides? Great stuff regardless.
Based on his past no

neutral guidelines/tips/how to deal with common neutral situations would be great
Will you do a red arcueid guide eventually?

I recorded this before bed so I was a little tired 😅
5:23 I'll be screwed if all the Red Arc mains start doing this because I know damn well I ain't block that.
biggest thing im going to miss moving from mbaacc is that i played a lot of full moon characters so im used to having some plus frames
What resource are people using to find frame data?
Twitter atm lol
Mizuumi wiki has uploaded frame data
+1 for Mizuumi. It's still being filled out, but seems like it'll have the same sort of info as dustloop.

do you mean rebeats? he goes into A normals to shorten his endlag and replace the endlag he would normally have from a C normal
@@drunkhyperjuice I understand the rebeats, it looked like he was doing an os that I didnt recognize but it could just be an accident.
God bless
Thanks lk
what changes about a throw when its a fatal counter?
My biggest problem atm is the opposite, defense.
I don't really understand yet how to get out of an enemy combo.
You don't, there's no Burst or anything
Saber 🥰
How does one play neutral in MBTL so far i feel like weve been baiting one another or just straight up sluggin it up
Posted a vid on neutral a couple days ago
This hacking thing makes me think they were trying to being more traction to these password protectors
Does anyone know of a good Kouma player? I'm having trouble with offense as him, his normals feel too small
I wanna see how a good player maneuvers around that
Nah it’s over LK has time stamps now….
