I “think” I’m sticking with the Q2 for now. I love it as a second and have the larger file sizes when needed on the 11. But the M10-R is a fantastic camera then, now and in 10 years.
The M cameras are very close to perfection as a 'photography' proposition - so I'm really hoping they resolve the issues in the M11 (issues related to the electronics and not the camera per se). It's likely that the M11-P is where they solve the problem of processing 60 MP color in such a tight space.
@@kaskoPhoto makes sense. I believe I saw you own the Voigtlander 35mm Nokton Vintage f/1.5. How would you say that lens performs compared to the Summilux 35mm that you have?
I love your honesty John - telling it warts and all. Most fanboys (which of course, you are not), would never mutter a disparaging word about their technological wonder, even if it bit them on the bum. However, I must say for all that money and your are on your 3rd body, and you can't even 'chimp' because it will shut down, is frankly quite horrific. I just jumped on my camera shop's online store and the M11 body here in Australia is $14,500 body only. An obscene amount of money in anybody's book. To think it still has limitations is not even comprehendible. I shoot 'events' and even in our hot Western Australian summers (up near 40'), my camera can feel very hot with the sun shining on it, and it's never missed a beat (both of my Z6ii's actually have never had a problem). I'm glad it's working for you, but I'll stick to my theory on dentists, vets and surgeons.
Well I’m not any of those but still love the shooting experience. The Zs are all amazing in my opinion- love everything about them. And that new ZF has me really wanting to play!
Still great lenses, but it seems Leica didn't have the resources to properly develop the M11. It's not just you who has had problems. Funny, the M10 didn't seem to have this many issues. Maybe Leica gets it all sorted in the next firmware update.
My understanding is that the Updated 50mm Summilux is the same as the older version aside from the close focusing and the built in hood. Am I missing something?
Hi, thanks for the video! What shutter speed are you using? I think I figured out that my M11 works only with 1/60, all other shutter speeds show the curtain. Is this correct?
No, the flash sync speed is 180th on the M11. On your speed dial you will see the little red lighting bolt just under 250th. Set to that (and make sure it’s clicked into that)
Happy with my M10R - not going to upgrade to M11 BUT have ordered a Q3 (my 6th Leica!)

The new 50 Summilux on an M11 is highly versatile.
Love this setup.
I bet! Do you happen to own or have you used the 35mm Summilux (2023), as well?
@@thenosyhungarian No. I was going to order it but then came across a beautiful copy of the past version for a remarkable price. Had to get it.

Hi, thermal problem ... I told you :) I have ordered A2 and Connect Pro Leica ... BR Lovrenc
You are going to love that combo!
I am a bit sceptic regarding the power but I will let you know @@kaskoPhoto

😊
John, do you first use a color checker card on location before each shoot?
Grey card unless it’s u unusual light mix.
Hi, great content. What magnifier are you using? Do you combine it with a diopter? Thanks so much.
Disregard. I just discovered your video on this subject :)
What leather case is on the camera?
Oberwerth
Thank you, I've heard a lot of compliments about Oberwerth cases.
