    The kitchen came out great, you'll get the hatches sorted next time. Im surprised that there arent any sort of rubber gasket around the edges of the hatch doors to get a better seal when they are closed

    Aqua seal and Sikaflex may not be compatible! It doesn’t matter the insurmountable challenges, disappointing failures, ups and lows, the Crobots can do it, have a cuppa, a donut, and keep your chin up, have another go! 😊 5:10

      Oh god that sounds crap mate, I use final cut Pro for apple, its about 200ish but it's a one off payment. Alot of these software company's like you to pay a subscription, hope this helps buddy 👍

    I’m not happy with this new arrangement between my husband and I. He doesn’t normally watch my vlogs but has now taken to wanting to watch you too, most inconvenient for me as I 99% of the time watch before getting up of a morning but if he watches it’s always in the lounge room, I can’t write to you guys to tell you how bloody brilliant you are from out there, I can only do it from my iPad. Oh well bright side is you have another fan. Well done Ozzie Chris, I won’t hold it against you you’re from that horrid big city. LOL. Thanks heaps guys another great vlog but another cliff hanger.     I was wondering how the kitchen would turn out--just wasn't sure you were going in the right direction. You proved me wrong. I'm impressed. Looks wonderful.
    Similarly, I thought the hatches would be a straight-forward fix. Again, I was mistaken.
    Maybe it's too cold for the adhesive? Maybe Chris succumbed to temptation and was licking his fingers? Who knows? Maybe the Titan can be used to blow warm air over the hatches. Somehow, I suspect that the Titan is part of the solution as it always seems to be.... 😁

      Aww thanks so much Peter, I really appreciate that comment. Sometimes it's difficult to convey your vision to others so you just have to have faith in what your doing and that it will all come together. I'm really chuffed that it's come out as it is has!
      As for poor Chris's hatches! I suspect you're right, I think he may have taken a liking to the mastic when he was hungry 😂 Like you I'm sure our trusty hero Mr Titan will come through for us 😂

    I can’t begin to appreciate how wretched and disappointed you must have felt seeing those sodding wooden panels hadn’t bonded with the metal. What a bummer! I’m sure all your followers will have felt for you. Onwards and upwards, I have everything crossed for 3rd time lucky. All the best.

      Thanks Ashley. Funnily enough when the clamps were removed it had set nicely but over the following day it wormed its way off again. Always a lesson to be learnt though. We will know not to use Sikaflex for that type of job again!

    Loved this video guys. Had us in stitches with the grout staring 😄. Gutted you're still having trouble with those pesky shutters. Kitchen sink etc is looking fab becca, love it 👍👍

    Hi Becca, Chris, another great and exciting Vlog, and with an exciting Vlog, you give us Dramatic music, Yeh!!!!!! Becca, well done with your sink, it looks fantastic, great bit of grouting too. Chris, loved the way the first wooden panel fell into the canal. You did a great job also, its not your fault the panels did not stick in place, and I feel your pain. But I'm sure you will sort it in the next Vlog. Always a great watch. Take care both.

      Thanks so much Mr. I was so worried the grouting was going to crack but I've either managed to get the ratio right or (more likely) it's very forgiving!! Haha! Yeah he likes dropping stuff in the river! He will get there. Thanks so much for watching 🙂

    What a shame that the side hatch panels didn’t stick. Well done, Chris, for being brave enough to do the silicone with naked fingers! I have a husband who uses silicone a lot - and wipes his hands on his CLOTHES! 😖. Becky, those tiles are beautiful and your grouting so neat. The taps are amazing too. Onwards and upwards!

    Hi we have watch you from your start, but recently we have noticed that our dog buddy has become scared of your vlogs, we think there are to many ting sounds that seems to scare him.
    If there is any way you could stop this it would be amazing.
    We would never want to sop watching your vlogs, but buddy has to come first, it may seem weird but if we can't watch anymore, we wish you the biggest wishes with your boat.

    Try something like Adiseal. Really strong bonding agent.
    I used some once to bond the wifes knickers on and, yes, still in place.

    I’ve not read all comments BUT Aquasteel isn’t meant to go on clean metal. It’s meant to go on rust which it then converts.
    It’s pointless putting it on those lovely doors and probably stopped the stuff from sticking. 😢😢😢

I actually chose to do it that way, partially because we were gifted some surplus tiles a friend gave us and so don't have loads and I need some for the other side but partially because we like the slightly bonky look of having them that way!!!       Chris did initially suggest to do them all in in square in a perfect line as oppose to staggering them but I twisted his arm!

    lol, I assume that was the wrong sicoflex to use. Tiles look great. What are you using to fill the gap between the tiles and wood at the edges?

      We can only guess that it just didn't bond the two materials well. Technically it should have been fine on those materials but something was amiss?? I was thinking a white silicon or mastic just to seal the edges of the tiles. I'm not too sure but I think that should be ok!?

      @@TheNomadicCrobot yeah, a flexible white waterproof grout or silicone should work good. Is caulking waterproof? Silicone may be too shiny and stand out

      Assuming it's a polyurethane sealant that you used on the doors?
      They stick great to porous surfaces (I bet it's stuck well to the wood) but doesn't stick well to non porous surfaces without prepping appropriately. Your steel doors are non porous.
      Why not use the maverick's sealant again, that worked?

    Every time I look at the gas cooker, it appears to be below the countertop and it would appear that the wood countertop is looking to catch fire from the cooker. Please be careful.

      Hi Bob thanks for thinking of us. I'm not sure which bit you are referring to but the hob is now set into the worktop as per the usual way they would be. The only thing I'm waiting on it the rubber seal to go round the edge. I hope this puts your concerns to rest and thanks so much for thinking of our safety. It can be easy to overlook things when you're in the throws of restoration!
