Water mixable oils
This painting will work with no problems in traditional oils. I recommend Gamblin 1980 or Winsor & Newton Winton.
I also forgot to mention that I primed my canvas with one coat of white gesso. I then painted the entire canvas with an acrylic paint in Burnt Sienna that I watered down just a bit.

Can I use Bobs brushes for painting bushes
I don’t recommend more expensive natural bristle brushes if you’re using water mixable oils. The water will cause the bristles to fray.
I do use inexpensive natural bristle brushes if I can’t find a synthetic in a particular size. Wooster Yachtsman or Wooster Amber Fong are my go to brushes in this case. I can pick up a 1” brush for $5-$6 at the hardware store. I believe the 2” brushes run about $6-$8 although I don’t use a 2” brush unless I’m painting a really large canvas.
If you’re using traditional oil paints and cleaning your brushes in odorless thinner, Bob’s brushes will be absolutely fine to use.

Why is canvass brown?..
I don’t like painting on a stark white canvas…I usually prime mine in gray. This time though I used a watered down acrylic in Burnt Sienna and let it completely dry before I started painting. I like how the Sienna comes through the blue and blue-green. Burnt Sienna is really an orange-ish brown and with orange being blue’s complimentary color…I just really like the effect. This will work just fine on a white canvas though if that’s what you prefer.😁
