When converting the zones to a drip, do you also install a pressure reducer and Y filter at the electric valve?

I don't always add a pressure regulator and Y filter when we convert these zones although it would be a good idea. I didn't on this one. I checked it after we finished it and everything work great so I left the valve the way it was. If we start having problems with it I will then go back and add one in.
