    I keep mine in a little plastic case lined with foam to keep out light and a tissue to dry them off immedatly. ☺️ now I just need to get more practice in with my double me reed bull call. I can bugle fine with a doe call but the bull call is tripping me up. 😅

    Good info. I always been afraid of bacteria growing on them. I’m still looking for my chance to get one of those bugle covers.

    I put mine in an old dip can and just drill out a couple holes. Works well for me

    😂 probably the worst I'll ever hear you call Corey with that bad diaphragm! Awesome video Corey!

    Calls are cheap just buy new ones every year. I wouldn’t risk a $1200 hunting trip for an extra $10-20. JMO. Thanks for the video.

    Do you sell sleeves for the tubes??? I want one. But in a different pattern of camouflage.

    I just pulled mine out using this advice of storing in a case and in my closet and now I have one funky taste in my mouth. I wish I would have put them in the refrigerator.

    Do you ever trim the material around the frame? How should material fit along side of teeth? Or should it not hit the teeth and only be on the pallet?.....I have a narrow and high arched pallet

    Does chewing tobacco deteriorate diaphragm calls as well?

    • @Elk101
      @Elk101  5 лет назад

      Hi Alan, yes, chewing tobacco will definitely have an effect on breaking down the latex of a diaphragm call.

    I am new and just ordered a couple of reeds, I don't like my dentures and curious if I can use a reed without teeth?

    • @Elk101
      @Elk101  5 лет назад

      Hi Eric! Great question :) If you’re able to get a good seal and making accurate sounds without your dentures in, then absolutely!

    The colored latex seems to deteriorate faster than the natural ones....... I should make a bet with someone that my 101 Contender WILL survive another season of rookie using abuse trying to call in ALL bulls & ALL hunters to my feet !!! haha..... Hands down these calls are TOUGH compared to the others..!!!

    • @Elk101
      @Elk101  5 лет назад

      TDO, you are correct. Latex in its natural form is natural/clear. The dyes that are added to change the color of latex break down the physical properties of the latex and allow it to absorb more moisture. That process also causes more inconsistencies in the performance of the latex as well.
