As an Experimental Artist, of 40 years. It's finding an audience for our challenging, or difficult music, that's so complicated. I thank you for explaining this. "We" are here making music, and we just need more people like you to find us.

Late to the party, both with this video of course and also this style of music. You have really opened my mind to a completely new genre for me. Three years ago it was Jazz. Today it is electronic, Avante Garde, ambient. When I wonder how can I spend the next 20 years playing the same music, I realize there is always something else to explore. Thank you. My two sons were over today and I played them Unieqav. They were amazed.

Really enjoying Biosphere’s Dropsonde and Cirque albums at the moment. Can also recommend Max Cooper (Yearning for the Infinite and One Hundred Billion Sparks are fantastic albums).

I lost my mother to dementia few years back. Yesterday after viewing this video - I started listening to Everywhere at the end of time by Caretaker. When my mother's diagnosis had happened - doctor's tried to explain to us as best as they could as to what happens when one is afflicted with dementia. We tried to understand as best as we could - tried to imagine how difficult it must be for the one afflicted. But yesterday as I kept on listening to the album - as I kept straining my ears to pierce through the veil of intentional noise that clouded the notes, as I grew irritated when I could not quite place the note, when snippets drifted in and out - suddenly the horror of it all dawned on me. I was focused on the music and suddenly realized that in my natural attempt to listen to the music - I had unknowingly got a glimpse of what the mind, of those unfortunate to be afflicted with dementia, goes through. It was a very, very difficult experience - I had to end my listening session as a deep sense of despair had engulfed me and it took me quite a while to get back to a normal physical and mental state. I had never experienced music like this before. I don't think gratitude quite captures what I'm feeling for Mr. Kirby and Michael; it's like being enlightened in two ways - one way I elaborated above - in hopefully being able to internalize, in a small way, the horrors of dementia and thereby feeling thankful to God that He has saved my mother from this abyss. The other is of course a glimpse of the extent to which true art can really touch a person

I'm coming to this genre late. Was into prog rock for decades, but never was exposed to electronic music except through some Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. Thanks to you and John Darko, I'm discovering all this "new" music, at least new to me. I love listening to it before going to sleep. I never knew the catalog was so deep and the music so incredible. Yes please, another 10 recommendations!

My favorite genre by far. I wish the pressings were a bit better however. Some of the ambient pieces in particular demand a clean/quiet pressing and that’s not what we always get. They exist but not consistently.

I’m glad to see I have a few of the artist you recommended. Jon Hopkins Immunity is such a nice album. Especially disc two side two. Sun Harmonics and Immunity are such lovely tracks.
Picked up a 3x LP from your neighbor down in Bonn a few months ago Mannigfaltig by Dominik Eulberg. Very nice recording. Check him out if you get a chance. Diorama is my favorite but I think this last LP was done a little better.

Just my personal opinion, But sometimes vinyl Will give more depth. The sleeves are beautiful though. Great video, thanks

Hello Mike, great video, great list of musicians, and music, I have always been interest in electronic music, unfortunately I don't have in vinyl collection too many of these artist you have show us in your videos, when it comes to Electronic, Avant Garde music my all time choice (and this is just me) hard to beat is Brian Eno, but I like to make you a deep a great recommendation, you might probably already heard about this musician I'm going to recommend, if not, here it is, his albums are not be in an audiophile format or even sometimes hard to be in vinyl, and not sure how much you go into digital or streaming, on which this music from him you might easy find, his name is Jorge Reyes, he was a Mexican artist, he passed away in 2009, he did several collaborations with Steve Roach, he studied music at the "National Autonomous University of Mexico", and he was very interested in Jazz, later on he spend couple of years in Hamburg Germany studied improvisation with Herb Geller, then he traveled through Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, he also attended a Hindu music course in the Himalayas, he was one of very few artist to let play in sacred sites like the pyramids in Teotihuacan, Chichen Itza. Some albums I recommend is "Comala", "El Costumbre" and of course "Mexican Music: Prehispanic Music for the Forgotten Spirits"
