Great take on the game! I love it for the grit and the simple fact you are all normal humans. Just ran Chariots for the second time and my party loved it the intensity as the captain getting their arms ripped off was priceless.

I love this almost Call of Cthulhu aspect to it (another of my favorite RPGs).

I think it's more brutal than call of cthulhu. Looking at health, and the fact that an alien can literally kill you in a single move, this game is more difficult. The way i like to look at it is this: Call of Cthulhu is a little more difficult to die, it's slower and slow to heal up. Alien is much more brutal and will likely down you in a single combat, but if you aren't outright killed you can recover quicker (if you aren't killed you get right back up with some hp)
