Can you imagine never hearing it, then going in the middle of nowhere and hearing it in the dead of night?
I would poop myself
I find the sounds beautiful. I sometimes hear them when I'm mountain biking in Colorado
@@ashember7064 cool I want to hear one irl but I'm in sweden where there isn't any and I can't go to yellow stone National Park when it's Covid-19 T^T
@@draco_-malfoy519 no elk in sweden? Bro theres plenty
Someone just told me a story how that happened to them, so I looked the sound up...
This is weirdly one of my favorite sounds. It’s so hauntingly beautiful but also comforting?
comfortning my ass, i'll watch the back yard every second if i'll hear that scream once.
@@d-nade05 Yah if I'd hear that at night I'd load the Shotgun of my Grandpa ASAP, people calling that comforting do be kinda crazy!
I swear
It sounds like a whale song on land. Beautiful but unsettling
100% agree. I love elk
It's a bit creepy and that's part of what makes it good.
The 15 second mark sounds kinda like a scream from being murdered lol
Imagine hear that at two o clock in the morning
Precisely.
I’m sure the elk appreciates ur notes on his performance
If you think this is creepy look up mountain lion noises
I can't believe Taylor Swift can sing like this.
😂
✋🙂I'm here from Meat Canyon....
@@mcfrisko834 Yup
She's such an amazing talent 🤩😻😢🥺🥹

Once I was camping out in a national park, and in the middle of the night I just hear the elk bugling and it snaps me awake right away. Lemmie tell you, waking up to that sound and hearing it *right outside your tent* is bound to shave off years of your life. (When I peered through one of the plastic "windows" in my tent I saw an elk just strut away from the campsite into the night, biggest one I ever did see it was magnificent and had these massive antlers that looked more like mini-trees than antlers)
We are Camping in the Middle desert ya Know the Answer in ME Name Letters
it put years on ur life and hair for de balls
Wow
Hell if you believed in spiritual things that might have been either a good omen or bad one.
U was at a Boy Scout summer camp called Camp Sinoquipe. I was deep in the woods with scouts from other troops, and we were staying up late talking in front of our fire. We heard these sounds, no one knew what they were. I jokingly said it was a wendigo.
I got lost on my grandpa’s property that has a lot of Elk and started hearing these calls. I was more scared of the noises then I was of actually being lost. Because let me tell you that when you are on old Navajo land and hear what sounds like distorted screams coming from all around you it’s hard not to immediately think of skin walkers or things like it.
My mind goes straight to windigo because of where I live
Haha, i understand
I imagine Wendigos mimicking this sound in a more creepy way to lure hunters
@@Blue-fj6js no such thing as wendigo
@@damiantirado9616 alright that’s your choice to think that just stay out the woods
They truly are the kings of the forest just absolutely amazing majestic animals
It’s Free Wendigo Estate
I thought the moose was the king of the forest
@@theseus5884 pretty sure it’s the Grizzly Bear that’s the king of the forest. At least in North America. Not sure about other places
@@danieltukua4527 nope it's elk that are kings of the forests and deer are normally referred to as princes of the forests

Now I get it why Alastor sounds like that
Came here for the Alastor comments. Not disappointed
I got chills... what a mighty sound, perfect for a misty pine forest setting. So atmospheric !
Sounds like it´s really in need for some WD 40.
lol
Rofl 🤣
More like 5-56
@@Supernaut413 more like 30-06
Haha...my daughter said it sounded like a squeaky swing 😆. WD40 Is right !
I know some people may find this creepy but I have never heard anything more beautiful in all my life
I agree
@@emeriomanzano5015 must have been amazing ngl kinda jealous 😁
I can see why Taylor Swift has such a following.
Showed this to my 3yr old grandson. He loved it
Thats great to hear!! Thanks for telling me :)
Yeah we are doing animal sounds and I’ve got a picture of a 6x6 from Wichita Mts in Oklahoma over by my chair and he loves looking at it so I pulled this up and showed him the sounds.
Wholesome
Amazing to hear in day, but absolutely terrifying to hear in the woods at night.
Nature nuts: "Ah, such a majestic call"
Hazbin Hotel fans: "Ah, the sound of some **shit** about to go down."
Why not both? 😂
I'm a nature nut!!!
Pentious: "Thank you... FOR LETTING YOU GUARD DOWN!" *rips Alastor's coat* "HAHA YEAH!"
Alastor:
*gets punted into next week*
Oh, S***!
*K A B O O M!*
*Pentious is sent flying*

Hazbin Hotel@@shutupthanks222
idk why I love Elk calls so much. Sounds kind of magical to me
Magical to u, absolutely fucking terrifying to me
That's definitely what I imagine hearing from a wendigo. 😬
it's only terrifying if you live in a fantasy world where wendigos exist or if you're uneducated on elks.@@DhirC35
I am lucky enough to live in the forest and hears these guys sing their beautiful songs every fall
Everyone else: OMG this is soo scary!
The elk: Where my bitches at?
If i ever heard this sound i'd be thinking Alastor is that you
Its literally the elk from the hotel show omg wtf
That’s Taylor Swift
🎶I WAS A POINT YOU COULD CLAIM🎶
i love the sound. It is unreal and unearthly even when you are looking at them from a hundred feet away.
What a thrill those large critters are from tail to horn tip and all between. Wow... God made some really
cool things.
God didn’t make them they evolved to be this beautiful and well suited to their environment, if you looked at the anatomy of this animal you would find it is remarkably similar to your own….
Hopefully you will realize one day that God did indeed make not only this amazing creature but ALL THE OTHER CREATURES.
Alastor died and went in hell and turn into this beautiful sounding animal???!!
So that's what was the sound Alastor was making? 😅
Apparently lmao
Nothing freakier than being asleep in your hammock and a freaking elk bugles out of no where like 30 yards away 😂
So many great shots in this video. 🦌
Glad you enjoyed it
I remember the last time my father and I went hunting. It was early in the morning, we were just starting to break camp and off in the distance through the morning mists we heard that sound. It's been 30 years and I still get goose bumps when I think about it.
Wonderful! How'd the trip go?
@@Yashael341 unfortunately we were skunked
@@YDNTK-ui4uc oh no! Well, you have at least one good memory of it.
@@Yashael341 I remember sitting by the fire sipping my coffee and hearing that Haunting Mournful Bugle
I love how eerie it is. It's so terrifyingly atmospheric. People back then would certainly be hallucinating in thr pitch black darkness and cries like these definetly didn't make it any better. 😂😂
"YOUR SOUL?"
Heavens no!
Most beautiful sound ever. Lived in Colorado. Meadows behinds our house and they would walk with their cows and other elk. The sound is magnificent
Must’ve blown out the lights trying to get to the lost archives
Imagine hearing this sound while camping by yourself, and then realizing…..
*you don’t live where elk live*
Definitely a Wendigo in that case
@@cl5689Or skinwalker
Actually I think I have tried that
And then you realize you are just listening to this youtube video
Ya, that's me. What I heard while camping last weekend sounded more like a red stag call, but it was more human sounding. I have been searching animal sounds for hours and i have no clue. Earlier that night I was hearing a barred owl, so i was thinking maybe it was some other type of owl.
Most people: ah it’s so spooky but pretty cool too
Me: *…they are the nine, ring-wraiths, neither living nor dead.*
I can confirm that hearing this sound while walking in the bush is the most chilling thing ever
God it sounds so badass, cool and terrifying at the same time.
It makes you wanna cry if you go into this video on a spiritual level it makes you appreciate nature and what it offers
Honestly this sound is mystical to me and the animal itself is a beutiful creature
Camped at the Grand Canyon and heard these sounds all night long. We didn't know what it was at first, very creepy!!!
Dang, must've been scary at first!
Suddenly, Nazguls
alastor be ballin
0:43 bars!
Dang, the breath coming out of the one at 0:43 doe!
Idk why it reminds me of certain maps from gmod
Edit: some good 2015 nostalgia moments from it, sadly some maps that had those sounds either were changed or are removed from the workshop
I love this video. I don't know why I just love viewing Elks and hearing their sound.. I love Elks sound!!
in my personal opinion the Elk is one of gods most beautiful creations.
Here we see Taylor Swift in her natural habitat. So free, but broken.
While it's funny, why does everyone keep talking about Taylor Swift
@@trifectum3504The meatcanyon video lol
As someone else said, strangely haunting. It tickles something in the back of the mind everytime you hear it.

I went elk hunting the other day, and all morning and night you hear this echoing sound followed by a grunt or two. Following them one after another is the one of best things you can do. I ran out of daylight eventually and started heading back to camp, that is when they really started to get loud and close. Every 5 or so seconds you would hear one, a peaceful sound indeed. The younger the Bull, the more high pitched it is. Once the bulls get really old and big, they do more of a.. scream ( 0:35 )
You don't even realize how reverberant the bugle is until it ends, and you can hear the echo.
Such a hauntingly beautiful sound!
Heard this while kayaking on Lake Placid. So peaceful and just amazing
I love this sound, my all-time favorite sound, It's so haunting and, horrifying? but so majestic, comforting, and beautiful. I can't explain it.
This is amazing. I wouldn't have imagined they sound like this
Probably one of my favorite sounds ever 💕🤙
They sound like the birds that would sculpt *mountains,* god i love nature.
Hearing it in the night is both chilling and beautifully haunting. I love the sound. My family lives near an elk herd in Colorado.
Taylor swift is on the hunt
😂
the first two elks sound the best
The first time I heard that bugle I was 6 or 7 years old an elk is now my favorite animal and that bugle is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard
It never gets old…heard it again today while I’m in the horse paddock. The other elks were grazing on the front yard.
I put this so my daughter can hear the Similarities of how our Great Dane Yawns 🥱 lol
It's such an otherworldly noise but I absolutely love it. It is both soothing and haunting at the same time.
So we've all gathered from Papa Meats Swift vid 😂
😂
Indeed.😂
Definitely
Yup
Such great animals. Simply beautiful. The sound is unique.
SUCH AN ETHERIAL SOUND 🎶🥰
It’s from another world… probably why I can easily see a plant-eating Dinosaur make a similar call.
The sound of a elk genuinely terrifies me to the point of tears.
Aww i love it so much. There were elk everywhere growing up and this sound is almost nostalgic.
Que hermoso . Cuidemos nuestros bosques y a nuestros animales para que nunca desaparezcan
That’s music to my ears nothing scary at all
probably my top favorite animal. loved seeing them in my backyard while i lived in washington
Thats either Swift or a Cleric Beast
😂
wendigo: hey could i use that?
elk: sure why not
I’m privileged to hear this regularly as I live in the Cascade foothills north of Mount Rainier. Two days ago I had four stags in my backyard. The herd has separated and the herd has moved to higher ground leaving behind the young bulls. I’m privileged to witness this.
Wow! The noises they make are beautiful!❤
Damn, the RDR 2 ambient vibe just kicked in! What a great sound.
Let be honest, who here because of *Papa* *Meat* aka *MeatCanyon?!.*
LMFAO 😂
YOU WERE MY TOUCHDOWN
I grew up in Colorado and would see herds all over pikes peak as a kid and relating them to rain deer. One of them ate the carrot nose from my snowman once. I now live in az, and I miss hearing the elk.
Heard this all over the woods one time around midnight in Payson, AZ. Pretty cool and eerie sounding.
0:33 imagine hearing that at night
It’s such a mysterious sound !
Wonderful, thank you. I can't forget the sound of elk at Prairie Creek, CA.
So this is what made those sounds when you go _outside_ in the first Resident Evil game
Gorgeous yet terrifying
Strong..beautiful animals with a unique sound all to their own, like all animals in the wild.
The most magical sounding animal call I’ve ever heard!
I always thought these noises were distant coyotes and wolves . Such a beautiful animal makes such an... Upsetting? Noise
such a beautiful sound, nature is amazing.🙏
Worst part is me and my dad where out camping and heard this at night i just curled up in to a ball
One of my favorite sounds.
Elks make such a gorgeous sound
Just Listening to This Shocking Beautiful sound and imagining How nature has created this sound so Perfect! OMG
Makes me think of Alastor from Hazbin Hotel whenever he goes Wendigo.
Viv has explained he's not a Wendigo. He's a flat out deer.
Not any particular species, so an elk bugle is okay
My favorite sound, the whistle or the bugle sound, i.e the low range is so BEAUTIFUL.
