This just blew my mind. I have been eating Wheat bread everyday thinking that I'm smart and I don't eat maida at all! I couldn't have been more wrong!!
South Asians are constantly in survival mode. They are made fools by the Imperialist propaganda all the time. From food to air to lands, everything is stolen from people in this world.
Sir, I I have been experimenting with baking my own sourdough breads using starter, maida/whole wheat flour/ other grains, salt & water. I can add following information. 1. Bread can not be made without gluten which is only present in wheat. 2. Breeds of 100% wheat or multigrain with more than 10% non wheat component become too dense for lliking of most people. 3. Breads made with commercial yeast will need additives to increase shelf life. Only sourdough breads have better shelf life without additives. Anyone looking to eat healthy bread has to opt for sourdough breads. They have their unique tangy flavour & develop taste it to believe it kind of crunchiness on toasting
Crisp and informative video as always. The only thing I don't like is that everytime I watch these videos I realise how foolish I was regarding my buying decisions. Keep up the good work.
Extremely informative! Thanks for simplifying this. You have mentioned an alternative in trying out local Baker breads but I would also love to hear more direct alternative choices/recommendations or may be see The whole truth come up with one of their own😊
Very good information! 👍🏼 I'm in, to support. Now the next obvious question is how to make an atta or multi-grain bread at home itself! Make a recipe video. Very important!
So called Bread companies call their bread to be '100% whole wheat' but their 1st ingredient is 'wheat flour' and use the colour '150a' which is such a scam....like I've been eating this since years spending extra money by thinking it is healthy for us and turns out that i was consuming maida all these days with an assumption of having healthy food. Seriously these food brands who are fooling us by advertising their products to be healthy should be sued. I used to suggest others to eat brown bread thinking that it may help but this video just made me realise I've been eating maida all these days.....Thanks 'The whole truth' team for this video
Very informative and eye opening, thank you! Can you do one on the traditional rock salt versus pink salt? Hearing many talks about potassium levels in our body being affected due to continuous use of punk salt... what's the whole truth in this? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I should have seen your video yesterday. I brought Multigrain which is a sham like you showed in the video. I need to make my own. That will have wheat flour, oil from cold press, salt, milk, sugar and Yeast. Nothing else.
Yes sir. That's why I am not purchasing bread from any store. The better way is to prepare bread at our home. Those who have no time please leave reply for me. I will contact them and I will send myself within Hyderabad for cost
Sir very very informative . My sister told me me to fetch a brown bread not white that's where I did mistake . Now I realise . Sir plz add subtitles for next time in every video plz because some people have problem in understanding English without sub
Why is sugar bad for health? Is sugar free good for health and is stevia sugar better than all other types? Would be grateful to you if you explain this.
Very true! Well explained! I was very upset when I read the ingredients list. Another food item that bothers me a lot is A**l Butter. It neither tastes like real butter nor it's texture is like real butter. Once I forgot a packet outside of fridge. I was shocked that when I found it after few months of warm weather, it wasn't spoiled at all! It very much seems to be margarine with added butter flavour! Can you please do a research on the Butters? A**l White butter is also bad. Someone should analyze it in a lab, if it's real butter (which is very healthy) or rather mostly margarine, which is very unhealthy
Don't use margarine, period. It's loaded with hydrogenated oils that are extremely harmful to your health. You want to use Ghee or organic butter from grass fed cows.
Hey! Loving the content. Could you also compare the different types of noodles available in the market? Brands like MAGGIE have wheat maggie, oats maggie etc.
I've been having brown bread every morning with tea as my breakfast Nothing has happened I've lost weight and I'm toned too How's this happening to me then?
Would love to have your view on Biscuits vs Breads To an extent this is not comparable but in terms of nutritive value I feel biscuits are far behind the breads
In Australia brown and and wholegrain bread in the supermarket has at least 50 percent to even 70 percent wholegrain wheat depending which brand and type you get... What do you have to say about that ? Probably will never see this
Please make a video on comparison of rice types, white rice, hand pounded rice as nowadays there are lot of claims that hand pounded sami brown rice is the best for health. N I wanted to understand that is white rice responsible for weight gain if consumed daily ? Also if I separate the rice water ( maar) after cooking is it fine from weight loss point of view ? Is pressure cooked rice unhealthy ? Basically wanted clarification regarding all these myths about rice. It will be very helpful for us. 🙏😁
Please make these video in more languages. I want share this video and tip to my mom. Healthy diet knowledge should not just be restricted to English speakers.
Please make a video on comparison of different cooking oils like Olive Oil, Light Olive Oil, Extra Virgin Oil, Pomace Oil, Vegetable oil etc. Is Extra Virgin Olive oil good for Indian cooking?
How about comparing honey? I can't help but think that honey used to look and taste different when I was younger. I feel they just DO something to it these days.
Hahaha I knew this!!But I was too tired to explain it to people.Chalo I hope your channel gets maximumsubscriber and people get to know the truth or rather become healtheir with the right choices of food.
Stumbled across this video by accident (I had seen the white rice v brown rice v quinoi video before. I’m, from the UK and I suspect that our white and brown “supermarket” bread is no different to the white and brown loaves described here. Is it normal to make your own bread in India? If so is it hand kneaded and cooked in an oven or do home bakers use a bread making machine? I’m lazy as a bread maker can be primed with ingredients and left to bake overnight, finishing when I get up. My preferred recipe is 60% Rye flour, 20% Spelt flour and 20% wholemeal flour. There is some sugar (brown) and lo salt added along with water plus rapeseed oil (canola outside UK?) and lemon/lime juice for vit C and then yeast is put on top along wit( anything else such as sunflower or pumpkin seeds. Do Indian bakers make anything similar and how does it compare nutritionally to your supermarket bread?
I am against packaged food altogether... Just because i saw this video.. I can suggest Paushtaa breads if available in your state is much better than all of them listed in the video.... Although i would stick to my chapati forever 😊
@@bespectacledperson2316 Thankfully chapati doesn't have preservatives, sugar, salt, acidity regulators added to it. Chapati doesnt have a shelf life... You make it and eat it... Only wheat nothing else goes in❤️
Not sure if you’ve compared tomato ketchups (wrt the tomato content) - just subscribed, haven’t checked yet so if you haven’t done one already, maybe you can consider this as a suggestion.
Great myth-busting video! In short, with a little information you can make better choices. I read the labels all the time - and while I don't buy much bread, I will be extra vigilant the next time I do - thanks for the info!

This was one of the first posts that caught my attention back in the day while scrolling IG. Glad to see all the way you've made from then!

You could have given which brand's bread is still the healthiest bread in each category of bread
Guess the best option is baking one at home (if time and circumstances permit)!
That would be outrageous for those companies who couldn't make it to the list of safe! 😂
