- Hey guys! Typically I share a weekly grocery haul every Saturday but I have decided to start shopping monthly for my family of 6. We will actually be a family of 7 for awhile. This Large Family Monthly Grocery Haul is a long one. I definitely picked up some convenience items and lots of snack options. Anyone else have kids that just want to snack all day? I'm also sharing all the non food items we picked up as well. Because of limits at stores and stores being out of certain items I did end up going to Target, HEB, Walmart, Costco and Sam's Club. Hopefully when I'm ready to get groceries for May it won't be as exhausting!

I feel for all you parents who are dealing with having your kids at home for so long. Especially for preparing meals and home schooling.. God Bless you all and your family during this difficult time. Enjoy your videos so much.
We have been homeschooling for 10 years.... From the very start. I keep saying to my husband how I can’t imagine the overwhelm that parents of schooled kids must be feeling with such a drastic life change foisted upon them. You’ve got this, parents!!!
To stretch out every lil bit of product of your mascara, liquid eye liner and lip glosses put them open side up in a cup of hot water (like hot tea temp) till the water cools. It loosens all the product from the side of the container and it gathers to the bottom.
Suzzi also, make sure you’re not pumping the wand into the tube. Just pump once per eye. If you’re still struggling after both of the tips, try to scrape the inside with the wand
I'm a Nurse and my hours , days have been crazy,, our daughter is a Senior in H.S ..her school is canceled the rest of the year no Sr Prom..no Walking at graduation... I prep as many meals as I can and she or hubby will finish what is needed, We're very blessed that we both work in the medical field, are jobs are safe. We have to find time to go shopping...hopefully 1 trip to Costco I can get it all. I try and spend a few minutes at least 1 time a week watching You Tube shopping hauls,, gives me ideas..Everyone stay safe,,

My step daughter is a senior and they have cancelled her senior trip. Hopefully they will still have prom and graduation. Thank you for all you do as nurse. I'm a medical assistant at a primary care office.

@@taraball1030 so far we are just closed until May 15th. They are doing remote learning but so far for my 2nd and 5th grader. No new content just reviewing what's already learned.

Can I just say that you are an amazing, loving mother!! You can tell how much you love and respect each of your children, getting them little things you know they'll individually like. I grew up with 4 siblings, and my parents didn't spend that much time/effort getting us our separate favorite foods. Way to go mama!!
It took me a month of collecting this and that to get everything I needed just for our Easter dinner. There is plenty of junk food but people are just going nuts buying everything. I was glad to see the limits put on things and letting the seniors and disabled shop an hour early. I finally was able to find ground beef and chicken breast but it was in our smaller grocery store. I went out yesterday early because I am a senior it was a nice trip for a minute but by 8 the other customers came in and at my last store they became pushy and rude. Thank goodness I don't have to do it again for a month. The hubby is still working so he can do the fill-ins. The really bad thing is seeing women with kids out in the stores but I can understand if mom is all they have. This is why if we know a family like this we should either shop for the mom or at least watch the kids, they may not have a phone or car to do a pick up order.
How to prolong mascara- when it start to get day add about 2 or 3 drops of contact solution or like dry eye eye drops and it works!

Also we have that kids cookbook and it’s really good!
Mascara - when it starts drying out put 3-5 drops of saline solution in it and shake it well. Renews it very well. You can get a longer life out of it this way.
We are all overwhelmed Vanessa! I love the fun things you got for your kids! I've been craving snacks and things from my and my kids' childhoods! I think it's a comfort thing! Take care be safe!
I have 8 teenagers here i need all the ideas and chit chat i can get that doesn't involve a video game or other dispute.

Where I live they will not allow returns on a lot of items especially clothes for the chance the clothes can carry the virus, once stuff leaves the stores they do not want it back in the stores.
I love videos that’s are long it help keep my mind off-what’s going on, Your blessing to have money to buy food I’m a struggling single mother low on money and food. I can’t even find dog food for my dog. Thanks for sharing.

I work as a cafeteria worker and we had our breakfast and lunch for 5 days every week. I believe every state is doing it. It’s a lot of food in two 2 gallon bags. They may be something to look into as well 🙏🙏🙏
I got some shelf stable milk from the Dollar Tree just to have in case we don't have milk.

Just as long as you are aware that even though a product is ‘sugar free,’ artificial sweeteners taste much sweeter than natural sugar. They trick your body into being used to and craving sweet things. Instead of weening yourself off sugar, it is much better for you to ween yourself off sweet things (real or otherwise). Sauces, dips and even supermarket buns and rolls also contain a lot of sugar.

Second Comment. Sorry if this runs long. LADIES I have been PRAYING for all especially FAMILIES. I'm a Grandma of one Darling 9 year old Girl. My husband & 2 daughters are Mandatory Workers. As a 3 GENERATION household that leaves myself & Our Granddaughter at home. I'm having SO MUCH FUN with her at home. TRY not get Depressed over all this virus stuff. Here is what we do. All schools are closed until fall in INDIANA. You must have keep a routine.. We get up at 8am EVERY MORNING (late for uS LOL). I make sure she does all her E-learning before noon. Our school is out until fall. I have her help with chores meal planning & the prep work. SHE CAN COOK & BAKE ENTIRE MEALS BY HERSELF. I just sit & watch. One day every week she does this. She makes cookies & brownies cakes too. (We started at a young age of 3 it was PB & J sandwiches everything age appropriate) We all five sit down & eat DINNER EVERYNIGHT. Then she does all kinds of things with Mom Auntie or Papa. Each day I try to do science projects I get off of Facebook or Pinterest. EACH day we do a different activity whether it be art or music. The most important thing is is don't lose your patience with the children you don't have to plan every hour of the day just give them a routine of the morning and the afternoons are free. We need special time every day for yourself.. That's why she takes time outside or inside GRANDMAS QUIET TIME. I sit down or I do the little things I need to do. I could go on and on about the little projects we do but you get my drift. PLEASE enjoy this time YOU have with your children. This won't last forever. I know this is hard now. PRAYERS & GOD'S BLESSINGS
Hy hun I really enjoyed the video thank you. Having had 5 children myself I totally get the amount of food you have to get and snacks and treats, ITS A LOT 😂😂. I live on my own and I still have to get snacks and treats and general food in for the grandchildren because there's always 2 of them turning up at nannies😂 and always " HUNGRY". I have 14 grandchildren 🤗 and it's crazy if all of them come at same time 😂. Thank you for the video hun as always loved it. Xx
I just feel bad for all the people that do not have the luxury to get so much and there is people showing how much they have 😞. I my self have also stocked up in food and treats for my family of four. But I can not help feeling sad, guilty.

Just ran across this video from 7 months ago. You were so flustered, just like everybody else last spring. I guess we can call that the good old days. Remember how we were saying “this will be over by the time the kids go back to school in the fall.” Hello from Placer County, California. We’re in lock down. Again.
I buy Lock and Lock from QVC. They are excellent storage containers and their prices are so much cheaper. Also the lids come in colors to go with your kitchen colors. I also use them for other storage throughout the house. Check them out.

I love long videos and seeing non food buys. I understand the way you feel it’s a crazy time, I think it’s the not knowing what to do for the best. My daughter is on her own with 2 boys aged 4 1/2 & 3, she had a letter saying she has to stay at home for 12 weeks. She stays 1 minute drive from me so I can go stay with her to help with the boys. My kids are out of school until September. 2 of them are doing online. We only have 1 chrome book, so my son's teacher let us use one of the schools. The also packed all their things, so we just had to their school door and they had it all ready for us to pick up. Plus their teachers are calling to see how they are doing!
I watched to the end! I can’t imagine how difficult this whole thing is for you and your family....we are retired, so it’s just us, and still, I did 2 big grocery shopping trips!

Our stores has a limit of two of each type of most things so two cans of chicken noodle soup two cans of tomato soup etc

a tip for your mascara if you think it's dried out take a mug like a coffee mug of hot almost boiling water stick the tube in their leave it for like a minute or two and then it brings it back to Life kinda extends for another week

You can freeze the entire loaf of sliced bread. Just get however many slices you need at a time and pop them in the toaster real quick to thaw them out. Never waste a slice.
I buy the velveta pouches from DT and noodles and make my own. Cheaper than the boxes of velvetta mac and cheese.
I do the same thing. So easy a s cheaper than the boxed Velvetta. ❤

I made a “dirty coke” with a Diet Coke today and the butter cookie creamer from Aldi over ice. Oh my yum!!! I didn’t have the coconut creamer but this was delish!
I used to belong to Sam’s but I didn’t feel it was worth the membership for one person. After all this and the difficulty in finding things I need I decided when this situation is resolved, I will renew my membership. I always like their Rotisserie Chicken. I will be using it for items like cleaning products, laundry soaps, paper products, because they are so hard to find. Another thing I plan to buy is a small stand up freezer.. Even for just myself, an extra freezer would help me with my grocery budget.
A friend and I would each buy a membership to the 2 local warehouse stores in our area and we would put eachother as the 2nd membership card. So we get both memberships for our family but only pay for one.

Vanessa try the Lock and Locks from QVC they are great! They are cheaper and keep the food longer! Freezer and microwave safe! I keep telling Kiera about them! They have a lot of pretty colors and sizes! My mom got me hooked over ten years ago! Have a blessed week🐣love your hauls

Just recently subscribed to ya & LOVE your vids... especially the freezer meals ones!!! ... They have helped me so much in my own meal planning,etc .. Knowing I have a certain variety of meals all ready to go stocked away in the freezer is so helpful for me!! .... Don't mind at all that you share the non-food items you buy in your grocery hauls... That game Upwords is one I used to play many years ago... it's truly quite a fun game!! ... I think your family will love playing it ...

Hey Vanessa, looks like things are pretty much back to normal for you guys and that's amazing. And its great that your husband is still working at his regular job and hours. Sadly not so for sooooo many other people who were not so fortunate and have to deal with that. But hopefully it won't be for too long. You seem like a very nice person and someone who doesn't take your blessed life for granted. Please keep the other families who are suffering right now in your prayers, as I'm sure you already do. And yes, this was an amazing haul and loved watching what you buy since its the only "buying" that I can be involved in right now!

I really enjoyed your family grocery haul for the month . I enjoy your ideals and tips you share. This is a tuff time right now trying to keep kids occupied and doing home schooling. It’s good you are prepared for a month due to all this social distances going on and not knowing when it’s going to be let up and safe for everyone.

I feel so bad for you guys during this virus, it has to be extra hard for you mommas with little kids. I haven't really been to the stores I'm scared because I already have health concerns. Since it's just me I have plenty in the freezer to last awhile. I always have my grown children and all the grandkids and great granddaughter here for Easter dinner and a big egg hunt for kids and adults. Im so disappointed that we can't do that this year, maybe after all this is over we can do a big holiday dinner. But for now I figured I know I have a ham steak in the freezer and thats plenty for just me, and I have lots of sides so no big problem. Thanks for the great video I really enjoyed. I buy the large packs of shop towels to use instead of paper towels. Saves allot of money and easy to toss in the wash and reuse. Also love using dryer balls over dryer sheets.
Love your haul videos! I like getting ideas on what I should be shopping for. Can’t wait for the pantry challenge because I feel like that’s something we need to do- I bought ALOT of stuff for pantry for the kids and I literally have no where to put it lol

Hoping because you are now trying to shop for a month. That you will give some tips on produce and storage to keep them for a month. I love salads and struggle with lettuce I rise and put them in zip lock with towels it’s just not working and I can’t go to store eve week.

You can teach them to cook as a science project. You can schedule in an hour of excercise as a P.E. class, have them help plate their food for lunch, teach them pricing with how food weighs in ounces and pounds and the cost per ounce. Copy the school food program like taco Tuesday, pizza Friday, one day a week for lunch a freebie that they can choose what they want to eat. Maybe a bizarre food day. Just a few thoughts. Love all of the videos not just grocery.

I love seeing it all. It gives me ideas. We are trying to shop for the month right now because of everything going on. We don’t want to be in the stores and they are starting to limit quantities and people in the store at one time

Add some petroleum jelly to your mascara. For the giant tortillas they make great thin crust pizzas! You can also cut them up and fry them. I like to add cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar to them for a dessert.

I use my salad spinner to store lettuce/salad mix for keeping longer. I put towels in to help with moisture. Change those every day or so.
