My immediate thought when seeing this was using it to create imitation opal. White opal has a very similar white milkish translucence. All you need to do is experiment with perhaps adding holographic glitters to resemble the flashes in genuine white opal
@daniel..cooper Imagine being able to create free form cabochons and complex shapes that look like precious white opal! 👍 The possibilities are scintillating to think about! Looking forward to your experiments with this....... I know you won't disappoint! 💜
I so enjoy your ideas, efforts and using your products in order to save your fans time, effort and frustration. Whether successful or not your trials inspire people and that makes all the difference. The world needs more folks like you who are willing to take chances that some of us can not afford to do. So thank you. 😊
I am going to try it at home, and actually, I can think of several uses for this. The prime reason I want to try this now is because I think this can repair the crack I have in my bumper of the car
I won't be doing this one, but I do see the potential for making clouds to include in other pieces 🤔 the "furriness" could add that wispiness that clouds have. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Daniel! I am pretty new to your channel and amazed by your brain! I think this idea has some really interesting sculptural ideas. I know that’s not necessarily your bag, but thank you for bringing it to the world. I think you are an inspiration to so many. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Your channel has inspired me to take up resin art for the first time. You are why many of us explore resin art in new ways. 😋
Wow, Daniel, you made my day as I use the clay a lot now. This hack is a life saver for me. You're definitely gonna try all credits to our Resin Guru 😊😊😊😊 .
@@daniel..cooper Pretty much, the brand of superglue makes a difference also. Super glue is basically a type of resin and different brands have slightly different ratios of hardener in them. I have been reading patents 🤣
Daniel, mix UV resin with Fumed Silica, it's a fluffy powder that will thicken it and should cure easily and super hard, it's also cheap and you can buy it online! :) it may make it a bit cloudy though and def wear a mask.
This was fun! Thank you for sharing! The only application that comes to mind would be Kintsugi (adding gold to it) I think that would be brilliant! Hugs ❤
Daniel, take the flower and add chamelon flakes or mica powder. Fill a round cabochon mold a bit bigger than the flower with uv resin and then add the flower.
Hello Daniel- I searched for the single flower mold that you used in the experiment...it looked like a single hydrangea flower it had two parts to it. I have looked for something like this before. I was so happy when I saw it in this video. But I clicked all the links but I did not find it. I watch all of your videos and I have learned a lot from you! Thank you.
Yup... I think this would be a great crack filler for 3D resin prints. Locally, I find that, the good crack filler puddy is always on back order or sold out. So this may be a good alternative! Need to test to see how this sands down and if it holds paint/primer well.
Hey Daniel! That was so cool but like you said...what exactly can be done with it. Lol Maybe for the consistency, I think trying different ratio's to find the "sweet spot". Possibly some DIY's, like plugging some holes etc around the house(Lol)😂 but also what surfaces would it adhere to? Ya got me on this one...love this experiment, keep us updated!! Big hugs from Texas!🤩
How you did your mixture is how I do it then I add cornflour to it so it's not sticky, and I make miniature moulds out of it for jewellery making or charms
Hi Daniel, I don't have a ton of crafting experience, but I was wondering. Since it looks like the Vaseline wasn't helping this particular experiment. I was wondering if maybe Cornstarch might work better with it? I'm so glad that you are the 1 doing these experiments. Because I know I would be horrible at them. Anyway like you said you probably just have to work out exactly how many drops of each is needed. I did like that flower you made. Take care & have a blessed day. 😊 💗🇺🇸
I wonder about making one of the slightly curved, flat, shorter Nålbind nåls (needles) that I love using ... but am always worried over dropping one because most are bone, a few are antler or horn. The bone ones are super smooth but they do seem like they'd be more fragile. Replacement zipper pulls (my hoodie ones often break). Beads. I think the possibilities are only limited to things that won't be in contact with food. 😉 I do wonder about the chemical integration that occurs between the uv resin & superglue 🤔
Daniel... i have an idea that i hate to share but here it is. making resin cotton candy by using an airbrush to spray the uv resin with a uv light shining on it. waiting for feedback on this.
I wonder if, were you to leave it sitting in the opaque silicone molds awhile before curing, it would settle the way nail builder gel eventually does🤔 If so, you could potentially add colour by swiping mica on the mold first - maybe even with some degree of precision by using those pointed cotton buds (for makeup application, harder than regular ones), which - if successful, would be much easier than struggling with precision tip applicator bottles one detail at a time. I think all us UV resin folk have at least one opaque mold we bought for the shapes that just don't exist in transparent😁 Welp, off I go to definitely not try this at home ...and/or a comparison experiment with OG and DIY builder gel👉🏼👈🏼
Mr cooper,I think you should have stuck with the baby oil instead of the vaseline because I think Vaseline is a lot thicker and sticker substance then baby oil try the flower experiment again using an only baby oil. It might do better in the mold and on the wax paper. Just a thought thanks for all you do love your channel.❤
If you're looking for things to make with this experiment..... maybe make some stirring sticks? The kind you would use in other experiments? Just an idea 😉
I'm uncertain about the safety of making jewelry with it. It would be touching the skin and who knows what toxic chemicals could leach from it. Still, I love your work! 🥰
Well, it's like a good wine, there might be a very long complicated process of sterilization, distillation, fermentation, and a bunch of other ation process missing down the pipeline to make it a fine wine =)
Custom beads with colors, small gems or inclusions embedded, or with carvings in the beads. Hmmm…maybe not unless there’s some way to make a hole without it sticking.
I just dropped a short using resin clay on a lighter case it reminds me of pulling glass I'm going to keep messing with it with small projects. You can get some off temu for about 6 bucks us
Hi all, hope you are all well. Sorry been quiet again, been so hectic, will update you in the next video 😂. Love to you all ❤xxx
Love you too! X
Please don’t apologise Dan. We are here for you.😊🫶🏻

Headed to the craft dungeon now

Thank you for thinking out of the box and sharing it with us
Thanks Debbie 🥰
Daniel, if u cured in pink mould it would be tacky on the underneath side bcuz mould has to be clear
Thank you

Interesting to see how the different types of glue react with resin.
Good to see you on a free experimentation

I too have those days.. "my brain is not braining" But hey I like what you bring to the resin world with what if's.
I'm sure this could have many uses in the art world. Thanks for sharing your experience of your experiment.
Intersting, very interesting..thank Dan❤

Interesting experiment 🤔 with a little colour it would make great faux sea glass ❤
I had this idea right after you used clear Elmer's 🤣 (Yes I was safe and prepared 😝)
Oh wow, did you get the same results? 😂

I think I have this and have tried, I definitely tried with silicone to thicken that up, yes, very light and dangerous to enhale.
Exactly don't try it at home. Try it at work instead.😂😂
🙈😂😂
Good to have you back with another interesting experiment. 💜
Think! It’s 3D printing, free-form! Probably more useful for projects than resin art but still such a good discovery.
Definitely 😁😁
How cool

create a pendant and use it like clay and create vines and leaves wrapping around it. use it to add details or other embellishments
Yes, this is a great use for it! 🤩
Very interesting Professor 🥸🤓... Wondering if I could make beads for jewellery 🤔. Thanks as always Daniel ❤
For now, I wouldn't recommend trying this but definitely a yes for the nail builder gel 😁
As always another fascinating experiment. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Carin, yes, this could work as long as the putty can cure 🥰
Solid Nail Gel Glue is what this stuff is like and you payed way to much for you jar of Solid Nail Gel Glue 🥰
Daniel, take the flower and add chamelon flakes or mica powder. Fill a round cabochon mold a bit bigger than the flower with uv resin and then add the flower.
It should give a magnifying effect and some interesting depth.
What you're making is basically uv resin clay. I make miniature sculpted pieces. It curses quickly. I love creating my miniatures
My brains not braining!! Cracked me up! I bet if the face mold had been clear, it would have worked. Thanks Daniel. Hugs from 🇨🇦
I love the way you think
Thanks Dawn 🥰 Just need to think of some practical uses for it and test it a lot more 😂
It looks ok and probably have some potential in diy but a bit too risky for me to try mixing myself. Thank you for sharing!
When I used the builder gel, I covered my gloves in chameleon powder and the gel also and I had no problems with sticking 16:03
Hi Deb 🥰 yes, that definitely helps, have tried with Mica 🥰🫂

With super glue? Wow, I did not know this was being done! Very naughty 😉😂🤣 I must try with cornstarch if I do it again! Thank you 🥰
I was just going to suggest the exact same thing! 😂
what about baking soda or baby powder so it won't stick?
I may try cornstarch if I try again 😁😁
First time watching of course I want to do it too but I won’t 😮
I have UV clay I got on Temu I can’t find anything to make with that either 😂 although those little flower molds you have are pretty cute 🤔❤
Maybe mold or sculpt onto something (like a picture frame) cure it and paint it? ❤

How about making tube beads to match bezels you make
So add up the cost of the resin and the Loctite glue and how much cheaper is it

Sorry Daniel, but builder gel is thinner then this! you cant sculpt with builder gel!
Could you colour it ?? Edit someone already asked this.
Why would I not try this at home?
@daniel..cooper the things that comes to mind is to make several colors and then mix to marble
