Ed’s Rocon definitely sounds the best. It runs like a Swiss watch. Boy is he proud of that rig. So happy to see him cooing and fussing around it. You guys did such a good deed for Ed and all of us watching on the internet.
The best cars are the ones with an amazing story it really doesn’t matter if the cars/trucks are really nice or restored for me it’s the Story behind it. Ed’s Story itself is amazing and adds so much to the Nugget and Rocon but the addition of all the work Everyone did and all their stories all just keep adding up making the Nugget possibly the Best Car Story ever so Best in Show.
Robby is so gentle with Ed! He really made an old man happy with all the work he put into the Nugget and Rokon. Addi is cutest little thing, loved it when she was in the Nugget with Daddy!
Even though Robby did all that work to rebuild the Nugget and Rokon he is still humble enough to not assume Ed has to give him any spare parts for free and offers to buy them.
Fantastic that you got to borrow the Golden Nugget & Rokon. Ed’s sure protective of it of course. He’s so proud of it & the work everyone did I’m sure. I think Ed has a special bond with you especially Robby. Glad you had a great time at the show & parade. Can’t wait to see people go gaga over it in Vegas. Be nice if Ed could go, but it might be too much noise & stress for him. Thanks for sharing the trip.
Always great to see Ed. Shoulda swung by Pauls and asked he fix the brakes. Ed deserves the lifetime warranty on the Nugget. That goes for them rusty screws too! Great video Team Layton. Congrats on the Sema show in Vegas. The Nugget deserves to be seen by all. Still looks amazing
Ed is an amazing man and very knowledgeable he notices every little thing. I hope I am as smart and that knowledgeable when I reach his age a true old school guy. I never knew that hillbilly use to be a truck driver pulling two or three trailers I was really impressed with that. I enjoy how I always learn new things in your videos. Keep up the great work everyone
Ed deserves his moment....and we are fortunate that he is willing to share. Thank you Ed, and thank you Robbie. Both of you gained immensely from this project....and 91 degrees and a red sunset....some smoke, but no red flag.
Who here would love to see Ed get one he can abuse? Something he can take to the mines, crawl rocks with, and scratch to his hearts content! Maybe something rustic like Rory's rig...Trailmater but in a suzuki style.
I'm glad that it's being used as intended! To show off and tell Ed's story of his life! Excellent example for showcasing Ed's life! What a beautiful way to tell his story!
SEMA should be proud Ed want's to show the "Goldens" at their show. I don't know of any other vehicles that has been recovered from a close to death condition, and then followed and cheered by millions of fan girls/boys during their full restoration. The stories of all the crews, Nugget & Rokon are all priceless. And on top of that you have Ed himself ...
The look on your face Robbie when he says how much do you think their worth was priceless you could definitely tell it you thought for a second that he wanted to sell them
I love this journey with the Golden Nugget. Not only have I met you and your family Robbie but I have met Ed, Paul, Matt and so many more. I am not a religious person, in fact I am an atheist, but I see Angles involved in this project. I look forward and see many more glorious blessings coming from this endeavor. Cheers \m/,
It's funny seeing Ed so worried Robbie is going to scratch something or get it dirty. I'd be just like Ed. I was hoping to see this rig do some car shows. Be proud Ed. SEMA should be cool. Hope Ed gets to go.
Forget how small this Suzuki is after not seeing it for a while. Thanks for taking the time to visit Ed and present the picture book. 👍 This project has emphasized what dedication to doing outstanding work produces.
I think Ed is pretty proud of his Nugget and Rokon!! Rightfully so!!! It's a beautiful pair! Glad he "loaned" it to you to take to the car show to let people see it. Good example of what excellent work you do!!
Ed is such a sweet old man everyone that's close to him is blessed to know him, glad ya'll had a good time at car show & parade great video thank's for sharing God bless ❤😉👍
Oooooooh 69 Chaerger, My DREAM CAR!!!! grew up watching Dukes of Hazard so that would be insane to win that bad boy!! Keep up the great work Robby, found your channel thru Matt!
Robbie thank you for taking us to the car show with your family and crew. You all are so wonderful. Your babies are so precious. God bless everyone ❤️❤️👍👍🙏🙏🌟🌟🏆🏆❤️❤️
Who's going to fix the header/master cylinder problem? Does Paul score that job or is Matt and his crew going to do it? The show and the parade looked like fun!
I love watching the Hillbilly riding as you pulled him with the Nugget, I'd call that "Hillbilly Deluxe". Did you win anything at the car show? Seeing you with your little girl brings back some memories, hold on to these times they go by fast. Your videos for the Nugget were awesome, the videos for Aden's truck is all heart, and the videos for the Charger were fun.
So good to see the Golden Nugget again. The other day I left a message with Matt that we want to see Ed and the G.N. out on an adventure with a group of people, going on roads that the G.N. can travel, maybe a picnic too, but to see it out and about.
Putting a ball on the boom of the tow truck makes for a trick setup hooking to trailers! 👍 With a paintjob like that… I’m sure the nugget turned a lot of heads, even with folks that haven’t seen/heard about it yet. It’s gonna fit right in at SEMA!
I don't know if Ed is able to load and unload the Rocon on the trailer, but I wish Yall had made the ramp wide enough so that you could put your feet down when doing so. Just a thought. Such an awesome build. Love the golden nugget.
Not to worry, Ed will never take this rig out prospecting. this whole project was painted to a Sema quality car show for Robbie to use as an advertisement for his body shop. Robbie can't afford to let Ed put scratches in a paint job that it took him 3 months to do, at a thousand dollars per gallon.
Hey Robby I watch your Channel and love you guys! And the fact that you and my other two Favorite Channels Do the amazing Projects together like Ed's Nugget and Rokon ! I was going to Drive down to Visit / Meet you guys and then Matt's Off Road Recovery, and Fab Rats but unfortunately I had a car accident a hip Replacement, and lost my vehicle , so now I'm out of work and a car so that won't be happening any time soon , but you guys all make Amazing Content and have hearts of gold keep up the good work !! I'll keep Watching100%!!!
Hey Robby. There is an old car magazine in Australia called Fast Fours and Rotaries. It’s byline was “Slick and small, is the way to haul”. It fits the Golden Nugget to a tee!
Just subscribed, good channel & a hell of a nice thing you, Matt, & the whole behind the scenes team did for Ed. Can't wait to see what you do with the charger.
Ed is surely a blessed fella with friends like you around him Robby. I can only hope that I have a handful in the not too far future when I hit Ed's age. He's a piece of history!
Sounds reasonable. Though the foot brake arm was modified, which will/can cause a non-balanced force on the actuating rod. No power brake assist, so if problem persist, force alignment may be a contributing factor.
I was introduced to you & your channel thru the Golden Nugget & being a subscriber to Fab Rats. I razzed you a bit to do Ed right. Little did i know you are a Righteous dud Robby. You treat your employees with hella respect. You do good by others thru your good fortune. Which is sustained by your hard work & attention to detail. Well that & you not only buy into the Coolest storyline i ever saw on RUclips so far. You made friends with Ed & honor him with genuine respect. It comes thru in your 2's demeanor around each other. Much Respect to you Robby, & how Cool would that be to see the Slow Roller Gang parading in each others town for Parades. Ty for taking us along p.s. Maybe next time Ed would like to go with y'all ?
I love that little Suzuki. The gold paint makes it look sooo amazing. The only thing is, I think it would be better with a quiet muffler. I'm not big on loud vehicles. :)
The day they put those Safety Chains on the trailer, I've been cringing ever since. Some of you might disagree with me, but those chains should be moved and mounted higher. Reason why I say this-- Safety Chains, when crossed, create a cradle to help keep the front of a trailer from dragging on the ground if it comes unhooked. How it is setup now, spells disaster if it ever happens.
My Grandfather Homer ENGLESTEAD live in Hurricane from 1920 to1973 when passed away. He bought a Rokon in Hurricane in mid 60s. I drove all over mountains in So. Utah. Thanks for the memories. See you in L.V OCTOBER.
That Rocon reminds me of a tote goat onr of our neighbors had when I was a kid. We had a little honda trail 70. I loved that thing! I remember showing up at a baseball game when I was in little league. lol I thought i was so cool! But I remember that tote goat had so many belts and pulleys! I think you could probably pull stumps out of the ground with it!
I think it’s awesome you’re taking that rig to Sema! I made a comment way back when when you were doing all the bodywork on that thing that that thing was a sema rig!!! Congrats to everyone involved it will receive a lot of attention!
I still can’t get over the nugget. You and ur crew killed it on the paint and body work. And Ofcourse fab rats killed it on thr build. Ofcourse everyone did amazing at their part I just can’t get over the paint job. It’s perfect
Your little child is a sweetheart. God Bless you and your Family Robbie. As far as I can say the golden nugget, trailer and Rokon for insurance an easy 100,000.00 of insurance purposes. It’s a rare truck, trailers and Rokon. Super collectors item. Ed sure loves it. You all have made Ed one very happy man. Thank all of you men whom had put a lot of hrs, money and a few lies. LOL.
OMG, The Nugget is going to SEMA! Whoo Hoo! That's great news and it deserves to be there as much as everyone who was involved in the build deserves to have it and thus themselves showcased.
Wow! Custom brakes already went out. Thank God Ed is OK. I have said all along this is an untested 99% Custom FrankenZuki and will be back non stop for repairs. Looks pretty so just make it a show car and encourage Ed to not drive it much for his own safety.
Ed’s Rocon definitely sounds the best. It runs like a Swiss watch. Boy is he proud of that rig. So happy to see him cooing and fussing around it. You guys did such a good deed for Ed and all of us watching on the internet.

@@dunnyguy69 Keyboard much?
@@kenuber4766 pocket comments I guess 😂
6 minutes in and I need to say that I love that old man. I can tell he is loved by the whole crew too.
He's smart too. Just let Robby borrow it for a car show and gets a free detail clean. Hey Robby, wannna borrow my car?
@@williamd1891 yes. he is quick and whitty. Lol
Ed is GOLD!
And many of the fans too
@@shaneharrison4775 absolutely!!
The moment when Robby thought Ed was thinking of selling the outfit 😳🤣😂
Right he was about to wip out the check book 😂
Robby is like “umm worth?”
He was probably only asking because all the fans that visit keep asking him.
Heart attack!🙏
😂 oh YIKES ! i just figured he was playin' 🔎Detective again . That's hilarious 🙈
The best cars are the ones with an amazing story it really doesn’t matter if the

You have made a friend for life with Ed. What a great guy.
Never seen Ed move or talk so much! Happiest man alive!!!
Ever since when the Nuggie was returned to Ed, I have noticed how warm a friendship Ed has toward Robby. To me, it borders on paternal.
Robby is so gentle with Ed! He really made an old man happy with all the work he put into the Nugget and Rokon. Addi is cutest little thing, loved it when she was in the Nugget with Daddy!
Your daughter excitement was so cute. A child's reactions are priceless. 😇

Really happy to see your channel growing. It is really cool to see your interaction with your daughter. Really impressed with your whole team.

Sir Ed is the Best. You can tell he loves his things. Wonderful group of folks. Love you all for the good times you give us
He won't be a Sir unless he's been knighted by the Queen! 😄
Ed looking after his rig is similar to a mother hen looking after her brood. It is beautiful to watch.
Ed deserves his moment....and we are fortunate that he is willing to share. Thank you Ed, and thank you Robbie. Both of you gained immensely from this project....and 91 degrees and a red sunset....some smoke, but no red flag.

The Golden Nugget looks so sharp! You can see how much Ed loves it, he was so careful shutting that hood.
