Or it's going to be the greatest karma moment in MLW history. There's things you just don't do (like the Rays eating popcorn in the dugout during game 1 of the ALDS... how did that series go for them?)... I understand it's in the moment, but Karma is undefeated.
@@JesusTapdancingChristOnaCross there’s a difference… rays thought they had it in the bag but jimmy doesn’t expect to win the whole series through one swing lmaoo

I'm most impressed with the home plate ump. It's hard to tell from the camera angles, but I don't think he got a single ball/strike call wrong, and always instantly lets out a "bong" for the strike call. MLB could really learn from this.
@@bigdog3300 I'd have to respectfully disagree, entirely. The counter point; I'm willing to bet most people who watch are avid Baseball players/fans who, for the most part, understand the logic of the game. Especially during certain situations. If particular said situations include an intentional walk, so be it. It's a strategic part of the game that most MLW fans understand. We'd all love to see "the action," but at the same time those who watch respect the right move at the right time. Regardless if it's "action packed" or not. So all in all, with no disrespect intended, I think you're completely wrong.
Wilson and Heath weren't doing anything with the bats so it definitely made sense to Walk Knorp in that situation. He made them pay for the poor decision
Game 2 takeaways - "You shoulda walked me".... I want that on a t-shirt. Jimmy's signature game at the plate is here. That shot could not have come at a better or more needed time. That doesn't happen and the Wildcats are primed to take a 2-0 lead that is devastating to come back from. MVP doing MVP things. - How about that battle of the second arms?? Almost everyone minus Wilson and Pearson made very solid contact all day but Saylor and Heath did a great job of limiting damage all around. If you're Jimmy and Kyle then you gotta be happy with how they pitched. All it took was one single pitch for the DBacks to take it. - Is there anyone more levelheaded than Saylor? Not too high, not too low. Such an awesome demeanor to see him stay level headed even after the error and HR, because other than that he was great. - Kyle's trying to peg people from left field is terrifying haha - Hitters did a great job of making contact again, especially against these unorthodox pitchers that don't get as much speed or movement as their team's respective aces but still had tons of success all year. - It's a brand new series folks. Best of 3. BRING ON GAME 3.
Great video. One thing regarding commentary is that when the count is said before the pitch it primes us for certain things (strikeouts on two strike counts and walks on 3 ball counts)
Absolutely love this channel. Gameplay, production and commentary are awesome. One thing I'd like to see in the future is a graphic depicting the stats for each batter. Would help better know the players attributes. Great job though guys 💜
When Knorp stepped up to the plate in the third and I seen the Wildcats huddling near the mound I thought for sure they were walking Knorp or even possibly going to pull a double intentional walk. Great series so far…happy we are guaranteed at least four games now!!!
Heath with a good ol’ Crash Davis kind of day.“Don’t try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they’re fascist. Throw some ground balls - it’s more democratic.”
So glad this series is knotted up. Hopefully this game unlocks Knorp’s stroke for the remainder of the series. Clutch moment for Heath. Dbacks need some contact from that 3-spot in the lineup. Saylor will inevitably beat you at the dish and Pearson is having quality at bats. Schultz though…that man almost ran into two dingers this game. Wildcats are still looking strong. This series is so exciting!!!!
As a self-proclaimed MLW Analyst, here are my thoughts on Game 2; -It's funny how much opinions can change after one game, and this upcoming Game 3 I think will ultimately decide the series -My original prediction of Dbacks in 4 still stands, but if I had to change after seeing this game I would say Wildcats in 5. Both are crazy talented, Wildcats definitely have the experience but the Dbacks have the chemistry. It's gonna be a great series.
If the D-Backs win this the 30 for 30 title has just been made official. Downtown D-Backs: Oh, Shoulda Walked Me! Maybe some "Shoulda walked him(front), Get Knorp"d #7(back) merch too! 😂
I’m a Dbacks fan and I agree. While I’m ecstatic we won, it really felt like it was only a matter of time before the Cats were gonna do some damage. Great job by the Dbacks by keeping runs off the board but the Cats were definitely on the verge of a rally multiple times.
I am 41 years old and I look forward to watching games like crazy. It’s so awesome what u guys do. Reminds me of me and my buddies just way more organized. I wish the younger gen would get out and play more ball!
Two things 1- why pitch to Knorp there with first open? 2- why is saylor so tough to hit? He throws only risers and they’re not close to the speed limit. He seems like he should get crushed but consistently dominates (outside of his teams mistake to pitch to Knorp)
His control is ridiculous. 8 Ks and 0 walks this game. Even without great stuff, he gets ahead, moves the ball around the zone, and gets hitters to chase with two strikes. He’s like a wiffle ball Greg Maddux.
Right here with ya bud! I follow this more closely than the MLB🤣 I vote Knorp for MVP but Saylor had a heck of a year! Knorp lead them to an 11-4 record so i give him a slight edge.
Great video but it's weird that Kyle is still the pre-game announcer for these games. They should bring in dirty Dan for pregame when the wildcats play
That one shot from behind Saylor as he strikes out Wilson during live pitch, NOT just a replay, like they usually do was one of only times I've ever seen them do that, I really wish they mixed it in way more than that, at least maybe show us the live pitch shot from behind pitcher once or twice a game from each team's starting pitcher, if a walk or strike out it's easy and on rear occasions you go to that shot and someone gets a hit, do like MLB when they flip camera shot to behind home plate right after contact along with announcers call of the play letting us know where to look second camera does flip almost instantaneously
Nothing better than getting the best of a pitcher when they should've walked you. If that situation comes up again, you better believe Knorp gets a free bag. Helluva series so far fellas!
Terrible decision to not pitch around Knorp. At the very least keep everything low with a base open and 2 outs. That said, outside of the one pitch, another great game by Saylor. His best attribute is avoiding those walk spurts that even get the best pitchers in MLW
I’m a big fan for Wild cats so I’m happy for this game (I said this before the game started so idk who won) (Edit: ain’t too happy that the Diamond Backs won)
Would it be possible to get a pitch counter and a speed counter for every pitch? It would look slick, and show the fans how many pitches per inning. Plus, I have wondered how close to the speed warning our pitchers have came to on some pitches.
I thought the Dbacks would win this series easily, but Kyle and Saylor are seeing the ball so well at the plate. I could see this series go the distance.

I said right as he walked up to the plate, "Why aren't they intentionally walking Knorp?" One second later, HOME RUN. Poor choice by the 'Cats.
True, but counter point - it's bad for the league to do that. People come to watch the best play, not watch the best get intentionally walked.
