Probably the most powerful clip from Goggins I have seen. I have had this on REPEAT through various running videos he has done because this is just true of life in general. Too many of us live on the "hope" of things getting better instead of going in the trenches and doing the work that is required.
He's not joking. I'm nowhere near goggins but he got me to take my boss and coworkers souls. I was at a lumberjack job and it was pouring monsoon rain and lightning/thunder and my boss didn't stop and I was the only one outside the tent, lowest paid lowest educated guy doing the only manual labor. They were under the tarp on machinery and they offered me a rain jacket and I refused. I kept pushing and fighting like an animal pushing past pain wall after pain wall and THEY quit because lightning hit a loud boom really close and I was the last one standing and for the first time they gave me a pat on the back.
My favorite Goggins story is that somebody was filming his run and he was yelling “they don’t fucking know me!!!” And they asked the camera man who he was talking to. Guy says “nobody was there”. In a world of brittle spirits this man is a savage.
