I did some research and supposedly they are a migratory bird here in orange county just stopping by but in some places they travel in groups of hundreds in California. I recall seeing more of them as a child and now to see one was kinda a treat.
Oh cool, didn’t know they migrated. A few years ago I was smoking outside and saw a squirrel get run over. Not more than 5 minutes later at least a dozen vultures appeared seemingly out of nowhere and deeeevoured that thing in a feeding frenzy. Ignoring cars and people trying to get through 😂 fascinating critters
Are Turkey vultures not very common down in SoCal?? I live in the Bay Area, and we get them everywhere
