One great Singer and it don't matter how many time's a person listen's to Hank's Song's they sound so great big time ,can't get tired of listening to great Country Music like this .
He didn't need a Married Woman .. as in Audrey ... He Deserved the Best ... Poor Hank ... and Poor Hank's Mother .. He Deserved .. Only the Best .. and he didn't get the best .. Poor Hank ...
Thanks for these songs. I agree so much with your message about looking past his imperfections. Especially as he didn't have so many. An old fashioned attitude to women, it's true, but a great guy despite that. The drinking etc is beside the point, as we know, given the lifelong pain he was in, and that he discovered alcohol at an early age. Those who dismiss him as a drunken fool ignore his greatness as the most influential country singer who ever will live.
The baby picture is from at least 1926 making Hank 3 yrs old. Also should be said I know you touched on it in the video but firstly Hank was a good man a good father and good husband! He was more than drugs and alcohol, which he mixed unknowingly to what he was doing for his back. He had Spina Bifida Occulta which is a crippling disease of which there is still no cure! He loved Audrey and certainly loved Hank Jr as well as Lycrecia.
This is great! I've heard the "Alabama Waltz" recording but the 'Number' song (title?) I've not heard before. I found out , after some study, that "The First year Blues" was written by Ernest Tubb and last but certainly not lease, "Weary Blues" is one of my al time favorites. Thanks for the post.

why did his first wife leave hank Williams and wouldn't she come back seen a few old movies on them, hank Jr stated the part in the movie where hank Sr took something and tossed everything off his wifes dressings table that was my dad, hank came from poor people's and he was not happy with his first wife fancy doings and making him wear something new and fancy
Hank and Audrey were fire and gasoline. Hank was a reluctant star and Audrey was very jealous. she loved his status and money and he needed her to keep him sane. Love can be just a destructive as hate- IMHO.
She had an Abortion, Hank came Home from Tour, and She had an Infection, Hank had to take her to Hospital, She was Always Pushing to be on Stage with Hank, I don't think Jr. Is Hanks, she had her Share of Flings, she was Married, when She met Hank, Had a Daughter, with her 1st Husband, and was Older than Hank.....She Bought Furniture so Expensive, Hank said He was Afraid to Sit on it!! Get the picture?
Back in the day I didn't like this squealy hillbilly music., but now that I'm a retired professional rock musician I'm getting into it. I understand old Hank drank himself dead, oh well that's the way shit goes.
NO!! YOU KNOW NOTHING, he had Horrendous Constant Back pain, and had A Loser so called Doctor, gave him Morphin, and another Drug, and Drank too, so it just wasn't Drinking!! you Fool!!

Hé became thé first "SUPERSTAR" of Country Music !
Just one word "Great"
Two words simply fantastic
He didn't need a Married Woman .. as in Audrey ...
He Deserved the Best ... Poor Hank ... and Poor Hank's Mother ..
He Deserved .. Only the Best .. and he didn't get the best ..
Poor Hank ...
That's why he was one of kind cause it was about LIFE the good as well as SAD that made him one of kind.
Good gut-bucket truth. A an cannot fake hard times & hurt.

Diffficult to say who Hank was. An enigma.
