I was struggling with that damned Nameless Puppet and I tried your way. Trident+Aegis mostly and a lot of vitality aha. I beat it after 4-5 tries. Thank you so much, I love you.
Thanks for the video. After two wasted nights ... Ive respect to your guide and finished the damn puppet in 3-4 tries. Finished him with putshots and throwables while guarding with the legion arm. Not a cheese video but a very valid tactic.
If you can parry with 2 dragon sword you dont have to perfect guard all his attacks and using throwables helps too. I used the 2 dragon to beat nameless puppet in ng and ng+
nice video. I've seen both versions of this, one is like yours, learn to block the first phase and cheese the second with shield, or cheese the first phase and spam throwables on the second. I'm on NG+ and even on full Advance build, Legion isn't enough to cheese both phases. You need to farm 20-30 levels more than a "normal" run would get you to able to cheese the whole fight.
Just beat him with the Aegis-Strat with the Bonesawblade on the exploding pickaxe hilt. Worked wonderfully even tho I had no time to put on electricity in phase 2. Thank you for the video Ive been really struggling with this guy. Even got the best Ending ^^
He was hard but finally beat him using covenant, critical amulet, 2 perfection grindstones, weapon repair tools are also useful because you dont have a lot of time to grind ur weapon on phase 2... Wait for the red dash attacks, Dodge and spam throwables and pray, try to get few hits in 😂 needed to learn his moveset it actually isn't that hard once you learn his moves but still either this or the green monster of the swamp were hardest for me
Or u can be like me & beat him like how he fights u coz I realized he has more mobility in the 2nd phase than I did so I just used lvl 3 puppet string on his 2nd phase & to avoid his red double sword charge attack I just stay really close to him & strafe either left or right but u have to stay close to him always to be able to do that
Every Soulsborne game has an Achilles Heel for me. This guy it it here....tried multiple strata, and I'm WAY higher level than inside this vid. Nope. In Bloodborne, my Achilles Heel was Rom, the Vacuous Spidet. By no means the hardest Boss in the game, but he was for me. I even beat the likes of Lady Yarnham ansr the Cleric Beast 1st try. Rom? 100 tries smfh
In the 2nd phase, every attack is electrified. How did you do that? You didn't use an electric blitz abrasive. Every time I hit him in the 2nd phase, there's no electric.
He's not the hardest boss, nor does he need to be cheesed. ALL you need to do is learn his parry windows. He staggers quite easily, especially after the overall nerf.
You couldn't be more wrong. Without cheese, he is easily the hardest boss bar none. Nothing else comes close to Nameless Puppet phase 2. Not everyone is a God like you and can perfect parry everything 100% of the time. Not even sure what other boss you could be talking about that's harder. If you can perfect parry Nameless Puppet phase 2 there shouldn't be any boss that you can't perfect parry easily. That being said, I beat him without the shield cheese, but it wasn't easy. Though did kinda cheese partly in my own way using the pipe wrench + baton combo to take a major chunk off of his health in phase 2 and get a stun fairy quickly. That basically acounts for about 75% of his health (did not give him the chance to heal up).

I do this with the holy sword, with the handle extended you can safely sweep groups of enemies from behind the shield.

Not really a cheese but a very valid strategy. Another great strat is to abuse your throwables in round 2. ;)
Found out that trident is good. After i already choose the emulet over the trident. Biggest regret cause its like a 10% chance not to consume postion
Mjolnir on the bramble sword handle is what I default to. Probably one of my favorite combos in the game.

Doesn't work, second fase ignores my legion shield. Each hit does the same damage without it raised

I came back to Lies of P after the newest update and the Aegis Shield doesn't seem to be nearly as effective as it used to be. Was it nerfed?

This isn't really cheese, just a solid strat and some good advice.
I am stuck on this final boss, will try this shield on weekend.

I got him down with live puppet blade + bramble handle with string legion. Maybe 6 tries not bad. Just staggered the gell out of it.

Sorry a bit late to the reply but my grindstone has the electric abrasive added to it so whenever I sharpen it electrifies

I can parry all his moves consistently except for some of the phase 2 red attacks but. I still can’t beat him
The thing is that he is just too good at punishing even the smallest miss plays
Romeo is even harder & faster than him especially when he buffs his weapon with fire & goes berserk
