  • State Police Holds Annual Survivors of the Triangle Memorial Ceremony
Today, Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way and Attorney General Matthew Platkin joined Colonel Patrick Callahan, Survivors of the Triangle President Michelle Carroll, and members of the State Police family at Division Headquarters in West Trenton for the Annual Survivors of the Triangle Memorial Ceremony, which honors Troopers who have been killed in the line of duty.
This year, the State Police and the Survivors of the Triangle honored Captain Richard Teasuro #3342 and Lieutenant Gerald Barbato #2939. Captain Teasuro died in October 2019, and Lieutenant Barbato died in January 2023, both as a result of illnesses contracted while serving in the line of duty in response to the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Family and friends joined the Colonel as he dedicated two trees in memory of Captain Teasuro and Lieutenant Barbato in Dogwood Grove, a tree garden dedicated to our fallen.
We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice made by our fallen heroes.
