No it’s just simple they are recreational players I’m a amateur and I can remember hands I’ve played 3 years ago and I’ve played over a million hands since then (between online and real life)

It do be like that! Love the friends take - shows the VAST difference between top-tier players and your typical weekend warrior. Seem like good people though!
That head weaving in the pool at the beginning has me dying laughing at loud. Mariano, you're hilarious. It's obvious you have a great sense of humor and just love living life. 😊
Your best video yet. It showed a super friendly side of you when you were helping your boys recount their hands. Also super funny. Loved the last scene too with your editor and the dart. Great job.
Love your Vlog Mariano. You're my favorite Poker Vlog. Your videos are clear and concise. Your narration is very informative and right to the point. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to see many more videos.
can u give some insight behind checking draw heavy flops while holding top pair (mentioned at 10:10)? don’t we want to charge those draws - even if we get raised calling doesn’t feel terrible
Luv your "normal" friends poker stories... This is why you're respected soooo much in the game, you talk/explain the game very well! PS, you played and ran pretty good as well!
Nice play on that AQ hand! Not too many ppl will check there on the river. Your thought process Is so valuable for ppl wanting to learn more about getting max value instead of playing face up💪🏽
I love your commentary. I love how you walk through all your options and potential hands hero/villain can have. It really helps me rethink how I should think. Appreciate you.
Cool episode. He seems like he can really just unwind with his old non poker friends. It looked like he was really having fun listening to them try and analyze their hands! Lol
👍👍 One's friend's are the best! I've often cheered my friend's good fortune more than my own.. 👍 PS Thanks for including your friends in the vlog...a fun change, & could tell you were happy they had fun..good Crew.
Lmao i love hearing hand hand histories from people who don't play much. I'll never forget like 10 years ago I took a buddy to play with me at Harrahs. He had been drinking. Gets stacked when I'm in the bathroom. When I get back I asked what happened, he said "idk dude had like 3 pair or something" LOL.
What an really hot +eV #hitandrun session for you. Thanks for including your (wow) childhood friends at a inside #BTS look into @Mariano life. As painful as it was listening to such disjointed hand histories it brought back tons of memories of real beginner days.
EDITOR : "He asked my stack size..." MARIANO :"What a jerk." (said with a perfectly straight face) LOL! Lighter content today but still very enjoyable vlog - Thanks!
I thought your friends were going to have 20/40 hands and thought how weird … your childhood friends play pretty high too! Then your friend explained the qj hand and I understood. Lol.
Don't like watching poker vloggers because often I disagree with how they play depending on who i am watching. But I am now watching you since a friend recommended me to your videos. You think like I think. You are a stand up guy at the table. Keep it up. I pause your videos each street and decide my action then I continue. We align in our thoughts.
John is wearing sunglasses at night. In my many years of experience there are two types of people that will do that. The kind that you wanna crack in the back of the head with a brick, and really fun people that party for 3 days in a row. I'm guessing he's the good kind.
Great video Mariano. When Anthony got counterfeited I don't think he had a clue what happened I'm pretty sure he thought he won that hand with his Ace 4
Hey I noticed your play is consistent with solvers. I’m just getting into it with simulations but they don’t explain anything, I just try to memorize spots but would love explanations. Where can I find any? You do a great job explaining your spots btw
😁 Great video. Your buddies remind me of me. I too, don't remember all the details when I play. I should start recording...and keep practicing. Thanks.
Dude you played that AQ of spades as perfect as it gets considering out of position and draw heavy board just awesome man I would have bet the river and lost value
I really enjoyed you changing gears and have a buddies vegas trip. Their hand recaps just goes to show what a true poker vlogger you really are. You’re like the pretty girl that picks only ugly friends.
Very doubtful. More than once he referred to them as his childhood friends. I suspect that, like most people, he has different groups of friends. So he probably has a poker group of friends as well who are good at poker. I can relate.
the ending is a HUGE insight into how "recreational" tend to see the game. not surprisingly, none of them mention what position they were in, or the villian was in. well, maybe "insight" is the wrong word. "confirmation" ?
In that first hand, would you ever consider check raising it to rep the boat? You should have range advantage to a 5 at least from the BB, and as played it may be reasonable. The suspect part would be calling the turn with a naked 5, so maybe it would be out of line, but when the pre flop raiser doesn’t C bet on the flop it’s not as likely they have a Q
Mariano, ever consider raising the K8 hand, to put pressure on opponent there. Flush would fold out also A high. You’ll get reraised by Q and called by a 5. Just a thought
Hi Mariano, isn't QJo too weak to 3-bet or play in general? Considering you are about 500 BBs deep. The hand has poor playability and you are OOP. Isn't the only play to fold this one? The straddle and BB are yet to act as well, so you could be forced out of the pot with a 4-bet (bluff).
“Nothing you could have done differently” on the pocket 7s hand killed me
I love how you don't try to hustle merch and or a training site. Just a true player doing his thing. Hats off to u
Yea that’s my biggest problem with brad Owen. He used to be better but hustling his courses is kind of a turnoff

Your friends are who we want at a poker table
That's so funny John, but true!

Loved the outtakes with DA BOYZ
REALLY enjoyed watching YOUR reactions as your friends struggled to describe their hands. Lot's of fun !
More friend hand history's please. That was comedy gold right there!!!
