The voice over @ 1:44 mentions "Tektro" hydraulic brakes, but the video image at 6:27 clearly shows "GEMMA" branded brakes. Confusing for a potential buyer!
@@rugbymclean8095 that’s very observant Rugby. The current model before me in the shop has Tektro brakes. I’m not sure why the one in the video is Gemma.
@@pauls8456 i don’t get why they can’t fine you for speeding instead of limiting the motor output. It’s the equivalent of owning a V8 and getting fined every time you are on the road regardless of how slow you are driving!
What I do not understand about electric bikes is how unprotected many derailleurs are. Is this not actually a concern? I always imagine a good electric bike having a covered or internal gearing system. But I don't know ebikes.
The bike on this video is a rear hub drive so you can’t have internal gears because the motor is where the internal gears would be. I love internal gears for their simplicity and ease of maintenance but they only work with mid drive or front drive bikes. External derailleur gears generally have a larger range of gears compared to an internal hub so they work better on certain electric bikes such as mountain bikes and many people have a preference for a derailleur because it’s what they’re used to. I hope this answers your question. Stay epic.
The world’s first e-bike powered by Cheezels. Way to ride!!! Woo Hoo! Another informative and very entertaining video. Epic!

Great video and awesome that you did that test
We reckon it’s important to do real life Road testing for minimum range.
@@axisofepicelectricbikers897 Agree 100%
Ahh, another Epic bike, along with another Epic video great work Gordon. Keep those bikes and vids comming. 😊 (Love the suspension)
Thanks Peter, I’m looking forward 6o your next adventure.
I see loads of bikes like this around the place and I think this is the first time I've seen someone pedaling.
Peddling on this means something. The human input on this feels really good.
fines are massive now if you get caught going over the 25kmh limit without peddling in melbourne. potential loss of licence also

no mention of the motor wattage?!
250W
I’d say
@@pauls8456 you'd hope so but could be 500W if it's in NSW
@@Prefer2Hibrn8 or 300W if it’s NZ, or 200W if its not a pedelec, the bike industry must be pulling its hair out with all these rules…..

Wish I could afford one

About seven hours.
