By my cello experience the painful sound at the beginning and overall not so good quality of sound is the result of the recording quality and the location. See how the high pitch sound becomes so bad but low pitch sound of the cello sound so good on the video.
Chris Ryan because it is rlly hard to play the cello in a dress, since the cello sort of sits in between your legs. With a dress on, it’s harder to wrap your legs around the cello and it’s also harder the grip the cello with your legs.

It's good for people to know that they are out of tune. He's obviously helping them. Nonetheless you all need to just enjoy these amazing cellists.

Top Secret Wow, telling people that their out of tune is "destructive". Bitch please. I know this piece is difficult, especially on the cello, but if its out of tune, then its fucking out of tune. I, myself play the violin, piano and upright bass and i play in an orchestra. That means i have to make sure and be able to tell if the intonations and pitching are correct. But you dont need to be an expert to tell if your pitching is bad.

its supposed to be like that. its ponticelo, and its used a lot of the time at the beginning of this piece to mimic like wind and winter stuff
