Thanks for covering this playstyle, aand i got some fomments: your ult can detonate your blight stacks, going flat pen items (atormsurge-malignance-shadowflame-deathcap-cosmic (or void if they have mr/defensive ap items)) work best. I have tried it for like 20 games last week with around 60%wr but in jungle where you wont meen pantheon, yasuo or fizz (which can just ignoe your whole combo) or long range mages and you can scale till 2 items, but i've found it unreliable once enemies get chemtech drakes or someone like vi or aatrox or trundle gets fed by your team, also dark harvest seem to perform better than hob ;)
All in all i've found it to be broken in some situations, not so useful in others while smth like khazix will work in same sitations but more consistant. And lastly, if you go jungle, your ganks are very bad, but you can finish off low health enemies from fog with W+Q, clear is always red buff start with q, w, e then 3 points into q (or second into w if you can go to early objective) and then max w, no pot needed and try to experiment with utilising w missing health damage and blight stacks on monsters as well as blight stack detonation-based ability cd reduction on nemy champs/objectives ( e - qw - e - qw on drake for example). Lethality works as well if you go hubris-opportunity-edge of night/axiom into seryldas/ldr. GLHF with it

Hey! How about Experimental Hexplate as first item and then Malignance? Ofc with Ultimate Hunter rune. Build might work cuz of fast minion clear early (bonus AS and AD from item), Varus uses both AD and AP, and on top of that, it have great synergy with Nashors Tooth. He should have like 20 secs cooldown on ult with that build.
Finally, Zwag using the skin in the thumbnail in game.

I'm happy to see Varus being played, and Full AP no less. Though I admit I prefer Lethal Tempo and rushing Nashor's Tooth first so there's followup On-Hit damage in case the abilities miss or don't kill the target.

Situational items (pick some): Rod of Ages, Rylai's, Abbysal Mask, Spirit Visage OR Force of Nature, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Jak'Sho, Frozen Heart, Warmog's, pretty much any new tank item
Primary runes: Grasp, Demolish, Conditioning, Overgrowth OR standard Conqueror.
Secondary runes: Manaflow, Gathering Storm OR Presence of mind, Last stand.
Extra facts:
You want Archangel's first, because Cass is so mana hungry.
Gauntlet might work, because with E you'll proc it often.
Heartsteel will easily proc because you're ranged and fast. For the same reason Rylai's will be excellent for kiting, just like bruiser Ashe.
Spirit Visage synergizes with your E healing and shielding granted by Seraph's and Gargoyle. Extra points for building all three!

I’ve actually been playing this about 30+ deep now since the Patch. The best part is, Riot is really unlikely to nerf this given it’s niche, but the impact of this build-at least in ADC role, haven’t played Mid-feels frankly kinda OP into some comps. I’m not even a Varus player, and I’m one S from M7 at like, 30k sumn Mastery.
It’s really damn fun though. Give it a try if you even bothered to read this

You need to go MF with axiom arc, malignance, and experimental hexplate and ultimate hunter for the ultimate ult reset/cooldown.

Has anyone noticed that he had 395 ap before he purchased Rabadon’s cap that supposed to give him 140ap flat and 35% on top but he ends up with 533 ap. how does that math work ??

Why noy arc and then hubris for last 2 items... already 1 shot why not stack some AD and faster ults! Btw... lethality trundle aounds like fun. Hubris, grudge, cyclo, hydra, and arc with swiftys. The run down potential is mental breaking there is no way to escape if he lands 1 hit. Honestly just grabing hubris and grudge and then going tank and movespeed would work just fine. Prob best as jungle so you can roam for stacks.

zwags problem on varus is that he lets the stun from his ult run out before using the q, then they can either flash or use a damage reduction ability.
its not a stun its a root they can zhonyas or use abilities
you have to wait to deal full damage
@@Zwag fair, just seemed like it was being held past the full charge point. I was a Varus one trick a while back though so I did become a bit aids with learning timing. (That made no sense even to me)
