I love it up in Sandpoint, but the outside developers are starting to go crazy with stupid stuff like overpriced condos with no view and too many pickle-ball courts. The long bridge is a challenge if/when there’s an accident. Out-of-town drivers come through driving like crazy and cause backups. It’s a lovely small town though.

It is an awesome town - hopefully they can maintain that feel with all the development going on. Schweitzer might get a little crazy in the future - as far as price goes and that could certainly trickle down to home prices in the rest of that area.

Would love to live in Sandpoint but I'm retired military and my annual income is only 52k so at least for me, living there is an impossibility. maybe when some sanity returns to the housing and land markets.

I feel for you. Very tough on a fixed income. We will see what the next year brings...

The introduction shows imagery of Coeur d'Alene, not Sandpoint.

That's because it's the intro we use for all of our videos and we are based out of CDA. Thanks for the feedback.

    Northeast ?
I currently live in MD too close to the swamp. Have thought about retiring to NH or ID. How does Sandpoint compare to lakes region in NH. Trying to get away from pothead zombie land. ( MD) The hippy reference makes me a bit hesitant.

I’m actually not familiar with the lakes region. I’d say winters here will be milder than NH and there’s a lot more public land out here.
Don’t worry about the hippy reference- it’s not that kind of hippy. The devils cabbage is still very much illegal here and you won’t even smell it anywhere out in public. It’s more of an artsy feel. Still conservative overall.

Awesome. Would be so nice to be out and about and not have to smell that poison.

Lived in New England for 30 years, lots of trips to New Hampshire, it’s a beautiful state as well and friendly people, a lot of snow typically, can be pricey, I Love New England and considered moving to Maine or NH, You should visit, I am back in Idaho for now but I miss the seafood!!! And I miss the New England feel you won’t experience in Idaho 😊

Thanks for this video sir. Can I constitutional carry in Sandpoint? So I won't get snowed in in Sandpoint?

You're very welcome! Yes, you can carry in Sandpoint. Idaho is a constitutional carry state. That's another reason we love it here.

@@thenorthidahoexperience My family don't need a lot of space, under 1000 sq ft works but we need 3 rooms and my budget is around $300k. Do you think I can find a place for that?
