All I can say is "Wow, dude got mad skills." Fantastic video. Learned a ton and looking forward to move on from foundational hand to more complex scripts. Will definitely keep an eye on this guy's content.
This was an awesome in-depth tutorial. A lot of the resources I've found don't go into detail on some of the techniques you mention about strokes ("ending the stroke going in, not out"), but you go through this very clearly. Thanks so much!
Hi Paul. Wrote to you maybe 2 years ago about the Pilot Parallel Pen, 6 mm, with a CURVED modified nib. Have not been able to put it down....scripting something that resembles Copperplate. You wrote back that copperplate is only done with a split nib, and I understand that...... but I'm requesting that you give it a try (I use quality drawing paper for great hairlines) If you are beyond Doctorate level in Calligraphy, I am a freshman in high school, so I'd like to see a professional do a video on this pen. I've yet to see a video showing pen manipulation in forming the "Copperplate" letters. Fun!!! Thanks!

I know very little about calligraphy and I feel like I am watching someone do a magic trick! How beautiful.

Thanks for showing us techniques that I did not know that could be done with a pilot pen..

Fantastic tutorial! Do you have any advice for left handed beginners??

Great video! Who makes your rings? I want some. Those are really really nice.

Are calligraphy writers often artists as well? I guess writing is an art, but you know what I mean.
