- Throughout the 2024 season so far, there has been a lot of speculation on whether Hailie Deegan will make it to the NASCAR Cup Series or not. She came into the Xfinity series this year after racing in the Trucks series for a couple of years. However, it does not look like she will make it further. There are even doubts surrounding her future in the Xfinity series. Her last race in Iowa certainly didn't help.

While I wish her all the best, I don't think she has the talent to race in the Cup series.

So her car has the money behind it? Or you know her and know she aint got it? Reason why F1 drivers and Nascar teams are normally at the top, they spend the money…Haas, Ferrari, Penske. She isnt backed by money

Iowa, she started 33rd, and finished 25th, 4 laps down. She's all hype and lame excuses. Of all the full-time drivers, she's in last place.

I have been a Halie supporter for the last 3 plus years. I put the blame on the fact she's a woman racing in a very dominated men's sport. Often I have defender her finishes due to drivers not wanting a female doing better then them. After getting a ride with Thor racing I expected much better results. Didn't happen for sure.
Now in the Exfinity series the level of competition certainly has risen but I just wanted to see her better then mid pack not necessarily top ten but not a surprise to be a top ten at some point. However waiting for that to happen you see on u-tube she is far from showing her commitment to her car and team. It's obvious with the changes in personal that the team has issues. I am now very much concerned that Halie is not where she should be in her level of driving inthe Exfinity series. If I was the owner or investor in this team I would very much consider changing drivers or pulling the plug.
While following her watching her other videos I don't see a deeply committed women having the desire having the opportunity nor desire to drive at this level. I think with her money she would rather show off what she has ( big toys) and what she can buy rather then prove what we as supporters have been hoping for The Real Deal.
Halie go spend your money, support your brother, race your midgets for $ 1000 purse. It's time to end the dream you are killing.

Lots of people can drive a car in NASCAR, the aggressive drivers run up in the top 10 and can win. The others ride around in the back of the pack.

Cut you loses and move on with real talent. She has shown nothing but mid field and a scrap yard full of bent and twisted metal. Sh DOES not have her heart and sole in NASCAR, contrary to some belief. She does much better at making you tube videos and driving little cars on dirt. For gods sake stick with what you do best. Go be a full time RUclipsr, maybe you can be what you want to be there.
Ive been hoping she does well and watching her, and her channel and waiting. But listening to her after her races and before her races, it just seems like she isnt driven to win. She has a sit in the back of the pack attitude about running. She should be in the top 10s and fighting for them, but She is either scared to crash, or she just doesnt have the hunger to win, Just doesnt seem like its there. I think if she loses her ride and ends up no longer being a driver, she will look back and wish she tried harder with the opprotunities she had. I keep trying to make excuses for her, maybe she doesnt click with the team or the car.. but I think a hungry person would do better.

I like her. But. Her talent stopped at the trucks. My opinion, if she wants to race suck it up, admit she's in over her head "at this level." Go back to ARCA and until she almost dominates there, call it a day. Not everybody who has the will to race......can.
She was a dud in the trucks series also.
Since sponsors pay most of the budget as long as she has sponsors she will probably still be racing.

Unfortunately I am one fan thinking she got where she is because of what she is not because of who she is or the talent she has and part of that could be Ford trying to push her to quickly not good and I've seen better drivers ruined because of that same thing case in point Danica and possibly Logano 😅n his younger years or more recently Suarez possibly but that is just my opinion

She was never hired for her talent. She was hired for name and her social media followers.

Either she's holding herself back or the racing team is, afraid that she will wreck. If you don't give her a fast car and then turn her lose, this will be all you will ever expect from her. She needs to realize that motor sports are a dangerous sport and that you are going to wreck out eventually. It's like they say, if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. I think she's just scared of a serious wreck and don't think she will survive. It being the case, she might not, that's just part of high speed motor sports. It's a dangerous sport to get in to, but you have to give your all or find another sport to compete in. Don't get me wrong, I love Hailie and her whole family, they are a very close knit family and care about one another as a family should, so maybe she should stick to the mini cart dirt track racing, not near as dangerous.

She needs to spend her time in two places, the gym and the simulator. How is she supposed to build up her racing muscle memory when she is constantly kart racing all the time. Stick to your car and the sim, and practice, practice, practice.
You naysayers never sat behind the wheel of a race car. From crew to chief to equipment she has NOT been given any of the above. Give her first rate of all the above and watch her run up front. I wouldn't subscribe to your chauvinist site if you paid me.

She's a crash magnet. If there's an wreck anywhere on the track it seems as if she points her nose directly towards it and barrels right in.

What everybody is missing here is the consistency in the car #15 team. If you are given a junk ride every week how are you supposed to compete ? Jeez what did this team do last yr with a different group of drivers. Last yr this ride had several different drivers in it and never did any better. With Deegan's sponsorship money should have improved things but team is giving her a slow ill-handling car every week. AND ITS HER FAULT. Great NASCAR fans . Blame the girl its all ger fault. Just REMEMBER people Hailie Deegan has a Multi Year Deal that she signed with AM Racing and you know I am saying she has experience from NASCAR ARCA, NASCAR Trucks and NASCAR Xfinity Series people need to realize every series when you start you are damn rookie it does not matter you have experience or not you start as a Rookie in each series so this year Hailie Deegan is a Rookie in NASCAR Xfinity Yes she does suck this year but remember Trucks to Xfinity is an adjustment and she has a new team of AM Racing and you know I think she will be better next year probably not this year she just had bad luck! You know who I could say is equivalent of Hailie Deegan as performance wise Kyle Busch he sucks just as bad as Hailie Deegan! Kyle Busch has not won this year so I am sorry he is not a good driver as he used to be had some issues that he should have been fined and but he did not! What I am referring to is the fight that some punch him but maybe Kyle Busch need that punch because he doesn’t not know when to shut his mouth up and he runs his mouth so I do not blame the person for punching him if he deserved then he deserved!

She’s 22 years old and it’s her first year in the xfinity series. You people expect her to win every race? There have been guys in the cup series for 10+ years that have never won a race!!! But she’s a girl so I guess she has to be picked on right!!!

She's good but not good enough
as in most petrolhead sport , just being a racer was never enough . Countless good racer out there , but they can not communicate with mechanics because they did not do the grunt work in the garage so they can not pre self diagnostic the car based on seat of the pant . Is it more ackerman ? And during race its sad but you'll need to go 210 mph instead of 190 mph with that trouble . If you got a car issue always go faster in racing .

I don't see why Hailie would even think about cup when she is absolutely poor in Xfinity. I was a supporter and thought she needed to get out of the trucks and would improve in Xfinity. I want to continue my support but when she can't even run in the top 20 or 25 consistantly its time for her to pick up another trade. My prediction is that in 2025 she will be looking for a new ride. Sorry Hailie, It seems professional automobile racing is just not for you. Hold your head high and just move on.
I've watched her YT channel and she is spending way too much time "having fun" on Jet Skis, local Racing in local junk. I don't feel she is doing the conditioning, the SIM training that the "male" drivers are putting in.
I think if Natalie Decker hadn't had her health problems, she would have been in the Cup Series. When she does have ride she actually does pretty good with 3rd rate equipment.
Toni Breidinger, seems to have potential, runs Top 10 consistently in ARCA. Someone to watch.
Her success in the K&N West short tracks series was from intentionally wrecker others for her own gain. The last straw was when she intentionally wrecked her own teammate, Derek Krause, to get the win for herself. That angered Toyota/TRD, and they dropped her from their racing program soon afterwards. Daddy Deegan begged Ford Motorsports to give her a 2nd chance opportunity. She's botched that too. She's a dud in all motorsports racing, not just NASCAR. The stats/facts don't lie but her SIMPS damn sure do, though.
She needs to learn from the drivers that came before her and how they worked on their careers by track time, training, simulator time instead of running go carts on a wet dirt track in her back yard. I believe that she could be a good driver, just think that she has lost the edge that she had when she won her first NASCAR Late Model race. It is time for her to get back to work.
It’s truly a shame how she is doing! I had such high hopes but i still haven’t gave up on her just yet. I’m gonna give her some time to adjust. On the other hand I just don’t think women are willing to take these cars to edge and race there all day where it has to be run to be competitive? Or women just don’t have it in them at all?

It’s absurd to complain about “preferential treatment”. The times of the best drivers getting the seats is long gone. She has sponsors and popularity which is tremendously important. However, it seems as though she’s reached the pinnacle of her career in terms of talent.
just because her 'Rookie' team has SHR alliance doesn't mean she's getting 'good equipment' . AM crew Chief's have a total of 2 wins total for their career. AM is a shitty team, IMO. Far from first tier equipment and set-ups.
She should try drag racing if 70 YO's John Force, can win in Drag racing why not her?
She does not read between line . She receive advice from the speaker in her hear , but they usually are conservative . She's the one that knows if her car can or can not . Seat of the pant feeling . Check her brother recently . He is deep in the back . I bet every week her brother hear his intro in the deegan video " YAMAHA" with the deep voice . It's like a non existing powerboost button . Nascar chevrolet use ford as their toy and the rest make mistake . Sometime the crew make mistake . Its a race yes but there is more . Stick with fords . You can not progress solo in nascar .

I think she needs to quit. I'm all for a woman racing. But they to find one that is better. I have a friend that runs a semi modified on dirt. But she is happy running. Won quite a few races. But she has no interest in infinity or nascar.
I knew she was going to bottom out as they pushed her too quickly. I remember one of my constant comments was for them not to rush her up the ladder through the series. Now she's got a lot of work to do.
I drove race cars too but not at that level. I did karts and dirt track stock cars in the junk car c link class. We can sit there in the stands or watch a race on tv and verbally bash drivers. Driving a race car only looks easy from spectator point of view but in the car it's way different so for those who never drove a race car and are bashing Haliey Deegan or any other driver just remember that even Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt had some rough times too and they were way better drivers than me. . Yes I've won a bunch and lost more than I've won. Got wrecked out 46 times. When Danica Patrick drove in NASCAR and was running good some idiot wre cked her out because a girl was beating them. To me when you strap into a race car youre not male or female youre just another driver I gotta try to beat. That's all.

Halie should run dirt cars for a few years. That will teach her more about car control and hard racing.
Dirt is more competitive then ARCA and NASCAR.
I didn't really care for this video Hailie is a hard worker she works for what she gets. She's with the new team and the new series give her a break people she knows what to do and she will do it. she will end up in cup too so don't you worry she has what it takes.

We waited 45 plus minutes in a line @ Talladega Speedway April 2024 to meet her & get an autograph & photo (by the Idahoan booth), her sponsors. We made it all the way to the front of the line. There was 1 couple in front of us, the guy announced- "it's over sorry". It seems like they would have closed the line at some point & taken care of the folks that took the time to wait. We were disappointed by the way it was handled 😔. Best wishes to her, I hope things turn in her favor.

Was at Talladega. Only reason she finished there is most of the field crashed out or ran out of gas.

Dillon boys did good in Xfinity series. Unfortunately HD hasn't shown anything.
Personally, I would like to see her do well better and move forward but SHR is leaving at the end of this year and you know he’s leaving to go drag racing OK he’s leaving team pick up horse racing and keeps going you know if a Ford team or a Chevy team or a Toyota team takes that team you know But if somebody wants that car or that team to go on you know so I’m gonna put up $40 million for that team so if you figure that we want Hailie Deegan to do better but she is in fair equipment you need to go forward you gotta make things better so and I think that seriously what they need to do and seriously thinking about this what they seriously need to do is put her in better equipment to start out front and I know she can take care of the car. You know she has 3-D so far did not finish races, I think if she had more experience, somebody telling them all we need to change shock springs set the car up the way you got you got to she she needs the help there especially SRX closing up that hurt a lot of drivers that hurt him especially when they go and bring their back to race international race champions no, I think she could be a driver therebut you know she needs to start winning a race or a couple races is supposed to be where you gotta make them make your strides better to move forward moving ahead instead of moving or getting caught up in someone else’s mess that’s something that you don’t want to be in

I really like her, she’s a very good driver. She’s in her learning curve and they should let her learn. Give her better equipment and expect the worst and appreciate the best. Two years to her best and she will be one of the best female NASCAR race drivers we’ve had.

Give her a break, look at the lap times. At Iowa her car was running 2 seconds slower than the pack from the drop of the flag. It's a team problem. (Fired crew chief and 18 sec pit stops wear hard on any driver's confidence).
Neither the team nor the equipment is the problem, she is.
