Of course am no expert, but from what i have heard - sunlight is best before 8am! Specially because we are so close to the equator and the direct sunlight towards noon/ afternoon can be extremely harsh. And not like our youth, the climate is much hotter now due to global warming plus the ozone layer is damaged...so the risk of overheating is high. This can also be a problem for people like me whose migraine can get triggered by very harsh sunlight/ heat. So using a pair of good quality sunglasses and an umbrella can help 😊 also it's VERY important to carry a bottle of water if you are walking around in the sun and stay hydrated! Just make sure it's room temperature water - specially if you are very sweaty or overheated, ice water is really bad.
@MeditatewithSue yes agreed! But in most cases that won't be the practical situation i guess...most people are not going to just cover their face, go out and stand in the sun for 15 mins at 8am and then get back inside. Rather they will be just doing their daily stuff...walking to work or school, playing sports, gardening or doing some other outdoor work...then there is a chance of overheating and sun damage through over exposure. Eg. If you are a farmer or construction worker and you go and work in the sun for 6 hours without any protective covering or staying hydrated then you can even get a heatstroke and die. And there are many such people in our country. I totally agree with the overall message, just wanted to point this out!
Everyone needs to use common sense when approaching anything I say in my videos, 15-30 mins is the recommended takount for exposure for anyone with less melanin. If people are out longer, then long sleeves, hats, umbrellas etc is a good idea. Staying hydrated is a must. Turmeric and Aloe Vera is a great protection or sesame oil even. ❤️❤️❤️
Can you do a video on superfoods in SL and their various benefits?? I don't mean the typical ones found in the West like chia seeds, broccoli etc...but affordable local foods! Which people here don't even realize. Few i can think of - curry leaves, cinnamon (ceylon cinnamon), ginger, turmeric, fenugreek, moringa, pumpkin, jackfruit, sweet potatoes, guava, bitter gourd, anoda...
What a great idea!! Will definitely do one! Sri Lanka has sooooo much amazing foods healthy clean and nutritious ones ! Thank you for this suggestion ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼😭
@ChrisnCrysBlissed yeah! I follow some Sri Lankan FB groups on healthy eating etc and many of them show "weight loss" or "healthy eating" meal ideas which are really not practical in SL. Eg. Asking to eat salmon, broccoli, blueberries etc. I think they must be just copying stuff from Western blogs 😂 some are trying to show how "posh" they are 🙈 Basically this gives a very wrong mindset that we need to have loads of money to eat healthy in SL and i don't think that's necessarily true...
@minervarose7664 oh gosh….. can’t even find blueberries here lol! Some people become content creators just for the heck of it 😭 I will do more realistic meal ideas for sure! Stay tuned ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great knowledge.. I didn't like to apply sun screen or creams since childhood... specially for the face... I have hair in my legs... but I dont remove them... love to stay natural... I dont apply make up unless it's a wedding...I know some people think i'm not taking care of myself.... but I like to be me... I dont keep air freshners in my car too... they are chemicals right? We inhale if we keep in the vehicle
That’s amazing! Love to hear that sister 🥰🤗❤️❤️🫱🏼🫲🏽 You can be natural and still maintain yourself, shaving your legs is a important part of being a women and for hygiene❤️ Agreed…Absolutely air fresheners are chemicals it’s not necessary, use essential oil in a cup and keep it in the car as a air freshener🥰 Make up is a waste of time and money, I only use mascara and a oil I make at home, it’s too hot here to wear makeup, it’s a waste of time 😂❤️❤️❤️
Today you looks so cute😊. You know the things you said is right. Actually most of the people in sri lanka afraid to appear to thesun light.but we need that. I also started to take some natural vitamin D couple of days ago and that's so pure. your informations are so good for everyone and wish you luck for a long journey sis👊❤😉

These are very informative facts. Totally agree with all your points. After doing my own research I stopped using sunscreen daily. I only use it if I am going to the beach or staying outdoor for a long time. We were brain washed to believe that we need sunscreen daily.
First of all just want to say… GOOD FOR YOU FOR DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH 😭❤️ you are amazing! I hope more and more become like you! Absolutely it was a brainwash, it’s marketing they want our money ❤️❤️ Love always 🫱🏼🫲🏽🤗☀️❤️
This time also u well explain about very very important issues in using suns cream… most Sri Lankans use fare and lovely to make them look very fare …it’s a poison to our skin and health.. but nobody knows how much harm it does for us… very sad 😔 after sharing your video on suns cream people may have been known how much bad it caused us Thank you little woman 👩 May the triple gem bless you always!
Sending you so much love ❤️ When I was in India 🇮🇳 I was offered a 4 year contract with a brightening cream brand, it was a huge offer and I turned it down due to the affects it has on people their skin their blood their hormones etc If more people thought about others and turned down these offers and thought of one another we would be in such a better place. Being white is brainwash, everyone wants to be light not realizing darker skin is healthy and BEAUTIFUL No amount of money can make me ever sell these kind of things to my family (viewers) Thank you always for the love ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank youwwwwwww 🎉🎉🎉❤❤ I was in a dilemma can I stop sunscreen but was afraid My experience : my eyebrows was shredding when I use sunscreen, when I'm at home going nowhere my eyeb2oqs are thick back again. I Tysm.. Great job as always ❤
The reason your eyebrows were shedding is that some chemicals inside sunscreen causes hair loss, so that’s what you dealt with! I’m glad your hair grew back! Thank God Sending you lots of love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you have extreme dry skin I recommend upping your water intake 3-5 bottles a day also drink watermelon juice every other day if possible with no sugar, cut out processed foods dairy and sugar.
I also recommend almond oil at night use it in place of your moisturizer
Once a week do a full body scrub : make it at home with salt, coconut oil, and a little bit of baking soda.
After that moisturize with almond oil
Do this for a few months your will notice your skin doesn’t stay dry anymore ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗
