Yeah that was played using a paradiddle-diddle (RLRRLL). It's probably my favourite rudiment and I use it alot. It's just super fun and satisfying to play, and ofcourse it's easy to play as sextuplet, but can also be used as straight notes to create some interesting fills. You can also easily make it into a quintuplet by dropping one hit (RLRRL), and that can made into a normal paradiddle (RLRR). I guess I just randomly thought that that beat would be epic enough for that section. Im glad you liked it!
@@hittingthatdrum I hadn't considered sub dividing the 6 stroke to fit different metres. That's genius, I can imagine getting lost in that for a few months. Thanks for easily explaining the quintuplet, always had trouble conceptualizing it but that removes all confusion. New fav rudiment for sure. Give 'Beenzino - Nike Shoes' a listen. I can tell you'll dig it, It's got a super tight groove that's easy to chop over.
Dude, that was 🔥 You must have listened to it a million times 'cause SM won't settle in just one switch up. I really like the "baby baby baby" part. Excited to see your cover of all the tracks in the album! The tracks were like riding a roller-coaster blindfolded as soon as you woke up. It'll make you puzzled and scared of where you're heading to but still loving it
Yeah it took a couple tries to remember every switch up in this song, I should write notes lol! Im not sure if I'll cover every song, but I'll try to cover a few. Thank you
bro ate again
🥰
Jesus, that high hat roll came out of no where. What is a 6-stroke? super clean and tight cover g. Impressed as always.

That felt like a rollercoaster ride! That was fire!!
Thank you!
0:59 the direct tritone modulation is sick right? And it sounds on fire with your drum play 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I love it when producers do what ever they want. Thank you!

Excellent drumming! Very cool switching up the feels! Smooth my friend!
I’ve never heard this song but ofc I need you to introduce it to me bc you make it 10x better with the drums
I personally like Alter Ego and Stamp On It on first listen, other tracks still need more time to grow on me
MALA and Goddess Level stood out for me, but yeah I need to listen to rest of them more too!
