Its why she was in London the Wolves went ahead and recorded it as a tribute giving the Royalties to her 3 children. The silver painted cherubs depicted kids killed. It was written after a bomb killed 2 young boys. Problems related to decades old British occupation. She was also saying because she was Irish she didn't agree with the fighting and was asking for a peaceful resolution. Peace came eventually.

I love seeing people listen to Cranberries. I cant believe no one has said for you to check out Bad Wolves Zombie....it is a cover of this song and is AMAZING.....Dolores was supposed to be on it and died the night before recording
She clearly felt the pain of this deeply, of what had happened to her country, to her people, and of course what happened to those two sweet boys, killed in England by a bomb planted by the IRA. The incident that brought about this stunning, painful anthem to the madness and horrors of war. Her keening throughout is a touch that gives me goosebumps every time. A traditional mourning for the dead, a sound from the soul of deepest grief. I didn’t know what it was at first. I thought that it was an Irish vocalisation, but I had no clue about the depth of it. One more detail to tell the story of the pain of it all. For a woman, an artist, who felt so deeply, I hope that she felt joy every bit as deeply. It must have cost her heart dearly to allow herself to go to the extent she showed in this song.
There were a lot of bombs going off in London and I remember this one time a child was killed when a bomb was put in a rubbish bin - that's why there's that line in the song, 'A child is slowly taken. [ ... ] We were on a tour bus and I was near the location where it happened, so it really struck me hard - I was quite young, but I remember being devastated about the innocent children being pulled into that kind of thing. So I suppose that's why I was saying, 'It's not me' - that even though I'm Irish it wasn't me, I didn't do it. Because being Irish, it was quite hard, especially in the UK when there was so much tension-Dolores O'Riordan

Nice one dear
Omg, my new fav youtuber! I joined your family and love you so much!!
Awwww.. thank you so much 😊🙏❤️
There were a lot of bombs going off in London and I remember this one time a child was killed when a bomb was put in a rubbish bin - that's why there's that line in the song, 'A child is slowly taken.
Thank you girl you got it
