These braces are supposed to offload weight from thigh to calf avoiding the pinching of the meniscus. What is a measure of how much weight can be offloaded? It seems reasonable to assume the braces are designed to offload your body weight from aggravating your knee. But what if I carry a heavy box that transmits it’s gravitational weight to thigh? Do braces differ in the amount of weight that can be offloaded?
My custom brace was not made correctly. Its SO painful on the lateral side the hinge pushes against my bone it hurts so much. I spent almost $2000 on this brace :(

The two pads that are suppose to go into you knee on the sides doesn’t go into mines what does that mean
Means your brace is probably fitted/measures wrong or its being applied incorrectly.I put these braces in people and that's usually the case.
