I’m Dutch but I love the fact that some things are actual new to Americans wich is so normal to us. It’s so cute ! I would love to come to Germany for a Christmas market they are the absolute best ❤🥰

If you haven’t yet, get the Pecan Pie Crusts they’re selling in the Christmas aisle! I made a pumpkin pie in it and it was the best tasting pumpkin pie I’ve ever made! I went back and bought 4 more! Lol. Apple and sweet potato pies are next!

I could never buy that many delicious, different treats at once! I’d get them home, want one of each within the first few hours and have 10 opened bag of treats 😅

I was in Aldi this morning and I’m pretty sure I found those chocolate flavored wafers you were talking about! I bought the mint and sea salt caramel. Oh my gosh! Light but totally satisfies my chocolate cravings. They were stacked in these little compartments so they didn’t get crushed. Hope your store gets them soon! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

If you like chocolate wafers, try Prince Polo or Sokofreta. One is Polish and the other is Greek and you can usually find them at any European grocery store or online.
The way you pronounce stollen at 6:29 is quite close to the German pronunciation (with a short o). Now you just need to add a shh sound in the beginning then it would be perfect.
When a German word starts with s + consonant (for example Stollen, Stille (silence), spielen (to play)) the s is pronounced as sh. But somehow if its not at the beginning of the word it's pronounced like a normal s ( for example Rost (rust), lispeln (to lisp)). I don't really know why, but that's just how it is 😅

My mom made me try a dusted truffle one time. She said "your just gonna love it they are so good!" She said someone at work brought them and let her try them and she had to order her some. We don't have that in our stores so she ordered them and paid $20 for a small box. They were good but I said I don't know if they are that good to be paying that lol.

My partner just went to Aldi (its an hour trip for us) and got that same bag of Pfeffernüsse for me 🥰 strong flavor but they were good. I love their frangipane tarts 🤤

Dollar tree has made in Germany strawberry wafers they don't have high fructose corn syrup and they're so good. The made in other countries goodies are so much better than the US.

I tens to be the one to give the most gifts and I do the stockings. I all but ensure my family gets diabetes lol. I've started a tradition where I get a tin if popcorn every year, and everyone gets Christmas themed socks in their stockings.

Those truffles are an explosion of chocolate. I've never seen white chocolate coins, weird. Pretty cool they have them in silver wrappers.

I live in a small town in east Texas and all we have for groceries is Walmart, brookshire or Kroger. And we don't have any of that in my stores it's sad 😭

Lol only an American would rave about Aldi chocolate. In the UK, Aldi chocolate is sub par compared to all other chocolate. It tastes cheap, even the specially selected stuff. Glad it has a fanbase somewhere in the world though :)
Nothing against you, but frankly, I'm tired of the one-upmanship related to chocolate in Europe. This chocolate is better. That chocolate is bad.
