LOL it needs a lot more maintenance than any new HD and only runs about 65 MPH on its best day. I love classic stuff though but its not a daily rider. My 09 Dyna just starts and goes day in and day out. easily runs 135 MPH too. That Knuck is 61 inches. My dyna is 96 inches. EFI VS a carb. Reliable VS ya gotta maintain it more. I can make that knuck a daily rider but ya gotta keep it up maintain it. I have 3 panheads and 2 shovelheads and 3 iron sportsters. I love classic bikes buy my oh so modern Twin Cam is better!

Well speed Limits are pretty low in japan compared to other countries.
The expressway speed limit is 80-100kmh so about 50-60 mph,
some straight two lane roads mostly outside of cities and some main traffic routes are 50kmh (30mph),
but most normal roads in and around cities are 30-40kmh (20-25mph).
To be honest, that’s the reason I bought myself a Harley here.
You have all the power you need to have a good time on the road, but when you twist the noise tube you don’t get locked up in jail in an instant.
Does not mean they can’t go fast, but a relaxed speed is somehow preferred by me when I sit on a Harley.
Mine is not quite as old as the one in this Video tho „2012 FXS 96ci“ and the sound differs a lot between a twin cam and a knuckle head.
I still love it tho ✌️

I believe on a old Harley like this you gotta let off the throttle every once in a while. If you wot all the way you might blow the engine, letting off the throttle allows oil to circulate and lubricate the engine once it has made its cycle. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m also working on my first bike, a 1964 xlh 900 can’t wait to finish and ride that thing. It’s a chopper. Greetings from Austin tx.

My great grandfather owned one of these brand new in 1939. Thank you for the video, I can now imagine what it would have been like to ride with him

That bike should not be road on a regular basis, it's just to much to loose if it gets crashed out, what a PRIZE

Nice machine. You don't need a tachometer when an engine makes peak torque at 2000 to 3000 rpm.

Do you have any nice twisties up in the hills / out in the countryside? Highway riding is boring as s**t.

Vers nice, but you shouldn't ride on the the Highway. This is not the right area for a bike like this.
