I love this stuff. It doesn’t need to be just Star Wars. It’s really about what excites you, that comes across the best. I get so many ideas from your projects.
@@eyekantspele we posted a couple new room build videos about three weeks ago, just trying to keep variety and creativity going. Focusing only on the room ultimately leaves the channel with nothing else to offer.
Another fun video Brian! Looks like you had a lot of fun with this one. As for the genre, build whatever has you excited and gets the creative juices flowing! For my own projects, I'm drawing from Star Wars, Marvel, and a lot more. There's always room to bring in more influences and more ideas, my friend.
I love the slight change of genre because it gives a slightly different perspective to how to use the same techniques you've been showcasing all along. Which helps me to see how to mix and match the different techniques myself. Thanks for sharing your talent!
I still have never really played these games for more than a few minutes but it is a fun aesthic and great art-style. This video is a nice change of pace and I love the diorama and the stylized paint jobs!
That's awesome, loving the diorama builds. For another franchise to explore, you should do something from Lightyear. Great design in that movie. The toys are great for dioramas, especially the ships and vehicles for the 5" figures. It'd be sweet to see you make a custom ship from a Lightyear ship.
@@TheSmugglersRoom I like how there is a definite Star Wars and Alien franchise aesthetic to the designs in Lightyear, you can tell the people who made it were sci fi geeks for sure.
Great job! Only ever played it at a friend's place, but building a quarter-scale version of that robot is one of my bucket list items. Just feels like a nice project that wouldn't need too much work to equip it with electronics.
While I had not heard of Borderlands before, I’m here for the creative approach to making something. Your approach and explanation of your process was enjoyable. Thanks for sharing and keep expanding your horizons and interests. Now go hit that base with some black 4.0 and we can call it good.
@@TheSmugglersRoom that’s ok. Keep exploring and being fulfilled with what you do. You (and your audience size) cannot grow if you do not try anything new
I think it’s great! Sometimes a little palette cleanser project is needed to keep the creative juices flowing. Change a few things and it’s Star Wars, Mad Max or Fallout. Just watching a project come together is inspiring Brian, great job!
Nicely done. Here's an idea for a different genre. Firefly. It's sort of like Star Wars. It has an evil government like The Empire and smugglers fighting for freedom, just don't take the sky away from them.
As I've said before, I would love to see a large panel for done in the Warhammer 40k Imperium of Man style. I think that from afar the retro industrial tech would blend into the room. But then when you get close you'd see the gothic arches, rivets, servo skull and aquilla... Maybe some melted candles.
@@TheSmugglersRoom Even if you feel it doesn't fit, I think it would still be a cool build for the channel and you could give it away to someone more into 40k if its not your thing (don't know how into 40k or not you are). But I still think it would be a cool addition to the room.
@@TheSmugglersRoom Sadly, it's currently sitting at 10% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Even the audience score is only 51%. I think that classes it as a bit of a stinker 🙃
I am just curious, what physical location are you and your wife in? State/Providence is good enough. I am planning a trip this winter, (will be moving from OH to AZ), and have a bunch of model kits, for bashing, that I would be glad to drop off if I come near ya.
might look at some dungeons and dragons or world of warcraft action creature figures would sort of fit in with star wars like mindflayers or draconian soldies just an idea
@@InformantNet I don't know how much more unique you can get with a custom figure, a custom background, custom parts. It's not like any diorama out there. Lol but also to each their own man. You don't have to love dioramas. I think it's great you showed up even so.
"I'm going to build some sort of terminal here that makes absolutely no sense, and that thrills me to death" THIS is the way!
