All of Prince's band members have similar voice tone and dialect. As well, they all have vivid memories about what they were wearing, feeling, doing, and playing while in his bands.
This is my favorite interview from you. Mostly because Terry is such a great interviewee lol he just talks
I loved it. I just got to sit back and listen. :)
Prince's Friend yeah this man is full of great stories. I gotta get my hands on that book
This was a really cool interview.
It was nice to here from someone who, actually grew up with him.
Yeah and great work getting him on. 7th grade..wow all great bands start in school..but you have nothin but enthusiasm usually these guys could actually play!
Fab interview, Nice open and honest guy. Love hearing about Prince and the Grand Central gang, can’t believe they were age eleven playing Santana. They really were the making of Prince’s confidence and road to stardom.
Wow what a cool interview! It’s nice how prince stayed connected with his childhood friends 💜💜
Always the mark of a great interview - leave us wanting more!
What a cool guy. I will buy his book. Please keep us updated and thanks for this interview.
Another great interview that nobody has!!!
SCOOP!!!!
Great Interview! I did not want this one to end. Wow! All the way back from Grand Central. He absolutely shed light from a different perspective. If he writes a book, I’ll definitely buy it. From what he shared here, it sounds like they had some amazing, childhood experiences. 💜
Great interview. I use to do that bounce tracks on my tape recorder. 😂 those were the days. Tfs
He seems like real cool people 😎
Great informational interview. Just learning so much from this channel and he was awesome

I love his stories. He's a great story teller. Can't wait for the book.
Loved the interview
Terry seems like a really nice person. The interview was wonderful. I’m glad the original member from Grand Central was able to tell great stories. You never get to see the people from Prince humble beginnings. I hope he finds a publisher soon.
This is so amazing to watch and hear. Love the stories.😀
This was so cool to watch! Thank you!
Would love to be able to hear some of this music or all . will ever be released
Awesome can't wait every day I'm looking for you and a review or interview I haven't seen. It's really makes my day. Thanks to you I'm learning more about prince and I love it. Thankyou again for all that you do.
So kool
I enjoyed that interview. Great stories.
Enjoyed the interview! If u are able to shoot b-roll video of different angles/close ups of the person your interviewing or if there are more opportunities of them bringing pictures of events or times they are talking about that would make the editing a little smoother. U might already know that but just wanted to out in a little suggestion for future ones. Thanks for sharing these interviews!
hard to do with just one camera. But I'm growing every day. :) Thanks for the comment.
Very true =] thank u for your videos, I always look forward to them
Awesome interview! Very interesting. Can't wait to see more.
There’s a lot more to come for sure!
Man I use to slow down records de -tune my guitar then play it at the right speed...great to hear I was in good company
Can tell when an musician is born in the funk, on the one The Purple funk Town seems to have an funk DNA in the water everybody from there is funky on the one, another funk legend, like the interview, knowing how to play funk is not taught you are born to play funk music
❤️❤️❤️
This brother and I grew up together I was in a band with Terry in a group Who's lead vocals was Bobby McDuffie me and Terry played football at North High School together and Jerome Benton we all know each other very well I'm sure Terry would be surprised to see this. Terry taught me on the congas we were going to play for Warner Brothers on Broadway at the place where Prince gave his first performance Terry's a good old guy love him like a brother but we should have been the backup band for the girls that Andre cymone produce who was Prince's first base player we all grew up in the same Hood everywhere he's telling you I've been there they all know Alex Jordan I'm working on some music now too
Thanks again PF!!... another A1 interview ....... What a character loved him what an insight cant wait for the book!! ....it left me a little sad for him tho why has been ostracised?
Right? That was odd to me too.
That's my last interview though... until I get some more. lol. Gotta start lining those up.
Prince's Friend well as you saw for yourself you have a following within the purple arena , you were surprised how many ppl stopped you at celebration 2018 and congratulated you on your channel - well guess what they’re gonna say now you interviews are on there too?? You wont have to wait long...within or not the prince /Minneapolis scene. Not everyone is like that dude running the Prince memorial. Ill be able to say i knew you in the beginning i hope haha. ANyway well done (Princes) friend x
Great interview
I am eager to read his book.
Right?
I love the part where Prince got kicked off stage doing James brown dance. He was a little bad ass from way back.
I miss Prince....
How do a group of musical black children have so much soul?!
Hmm! James Bond had what? Terry, tho I chuckled...cleverly insert that part (didn't know that one). One thought to take away from this interview, noticed, is that all Prince childhood mates have RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER when reflecting to those days...Mentioning the era that surrounded them...Grew up in the 70's (can relate) which indicates that sensory and mannerism was like that in all of our towns and neighborhoods...And communities...Now that they are adults...have that 'HOME TRAINING' instilled...they share to the world-wide...Fantastic PF...US/NC c/c
Prince Friend! I can see myself in you when it comes to Prince, thanks for these jewels, I value the interviews from back in the day, more so than, those from these newer folks, cause honestly I feel most of the people who were in Prince life near the end were suspect, especially that fake tear Van Jones.... the people in the tween years were Fanatics/opportunist!!!
The volume is pretty low listening to it on my headphones. Left side is louder than the right side
Speak into the mic brother 🎤
I have many many questions about the band when they were kids not too many of them have too much of a childhood story for Prince mate doesn't have any stories we haven't heard from Shelby B. haven't heard from Sheila E. no one really says anything I know Prince was private but come on give us all something to smile about, !!!!!!!!!
Pete Best was the guy kicked out of the Beatles before Ringo came in and replaced him for their offical recording debut. It was all baout the timing..Ringo wasn't probably the greatest Drummer, but the the other members including their Producer George Martin liked his timing. Pete Best had alot of charisma...but it wasn't enough to be in the Band.
The sound isn't that great with the microphones......
Who is the dude who is even shorter than Prince?
Terry Jackson North Minneapolis this is Alex Jordan from North Minneapolis am I going to be in your book man is Bobby McDuffie going to be in your book
His stories unfortunately are incoherent. He's all over the place in the interview..I just like proper english ..with all due respect to him ..I have to listen to him very closely. Its a bit ardent to do so...I commend you for your patience. You are a good listener. Kudos to you. We are Prince's friemd. So we are patient for im and his childhood friend. Anyway thanks for somewhat subliming interview. May you live to see the dawn. Peace!
Good business opportunity. The guy didn't sound like he has the bookcontract signed yet. And he isn't the type that is gonna write it himself...
According to him, he is already writing it, but... you make a good point.
He isn't... Telling a story is a lot different then writing it down. He needs help with, it to make it worth reading/buying. And for a book like this the estate doesn't need to give permission.
Dennis Nijhuis ....Sooooooo Y Can't I Write the Book...iz it Bcuz...Im Dyslexic...never mind...
:-) The person who invented the word "dyslectic". had a lot of humor.
Anyway, I hope the book comes out. I would buy it.
The audio sucks
Thanks for the feedback. It was a great interview and I’m getting better at my editing tools, but it’s not perfect. Will do better next time. ;)
Man, "Friend"....I am a cousin of Morris Day, Terry Jackson, Prince and Andre. I have some very interesting stories you might be interested in. They include everyone from Kirk to Prince. If you are interested look me up and let's talk! You will be amazed!
