Stan - Thank you so very much for listening to the song all the way through. (just subbed 9/8/22 9:45 pm California time) I am 68 yrs old and grew up on all the songs people are reacting to nowdays.. The most frustrating thing is to have the song interrupted for commenting. IF nothing else, it totally disrupts the flow of the song - a little disrespectful to the original artist. So THANKS AGAIN!

The Knack was an American rock band that rose to fame with their first single "My Sharona" in 1979. It was their biggest hit even though they recorded other songs such as "Good Girls Don't", "Baby Talks Dirty" "Can't Put A Price On Love" etc.

He wrote this song for his girlfriend, Sharona Alperin. She was much younger than him. Unfortunately, Doug Fieger, the singer, passed away a number of years ago. His brother is a loud, obnoxious attorney here in the Detroit area, Geoffrey Fieger

The lead singer is Jeffrey Fieger brother. For those that don't know.....Jeffrey defended Dr Jack Kavorkian.....The assisted suicide Dr!!

Happy to say that I still have my original LP of this album, from back in the day. The Knack were one of a myriad of skinny-tie Punk/New Wave bands at the end of the 70's and beginning of the 80's. "My Sharona" was easily their biggest hit song, but there was other great songs on the album, i.e. "Good Girls Don't, But I Do". Unfortunately, Lead Singer/Guitarist Doug Feiger died fro cancer just a few years later, so they never really hit their full potential.

Yes, and Doug's brother, Jeffrey Feiger, is a famous Michigan Attorney who once ran for Governor and defended Dr. Jack Kevorkian, the infamous Dr. Death.

This is nice, but the album-version guitar solo is one of the most beautiful musical expressions to come out of the 80s. I'm going to go listen to it now and weep.

The whole Get the Knack album was pretty good. I got to see them in 1979. I would love to see you react to Adam Lambert. I just want to see your face when he sings! I suggest one of his songs like Closer to You (live sessions). Most people suggest him singing Cher's song Believe to Cher at The Kennedy Center Honors or Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight festival with Queen + Adam Lambert. They are all great. If you don't do his song then I highly suggest Who Wants to Live Forever.

This song is a life-support system for guitar solo - and this video doesn't have the full guitar solo. This is the edited, single version. NEVER react to those.

While this song proves white men can sing... it also proves they can't dance!
I'm British I remember them on Top of the Pops!
Next up... do a reactiobn to Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Okay, I'm just gonna say this...
Its the BEST song, with the WORST POSSIBLE lyrics in 2022!
You could NEVER make this song Today! 💯
(Its LITERALLY about a dude trying to get with an underage girl... 💯💯 And that's NOT cool at ALL).
I hate the fact that I have to cringe on my influences.
