- A dramatic incident in #Moto2 brought out the red flag 🚩
After multiple riders went down at the fast turn 2, we're incredibly thankful to say that all riders came away from the crash largely unscathed 👍

So glad everyone is ok. The craziest thing I’ve seen in Moto2 for ages.

You not seen much moto gp then ? 👍😁

so you missed this one? ruclips.net/video/UGPrHj1nPt0/видео.html
that is probably rain patch. i remeber i few years back. moto3 had multiple rider crashed because of oil or something
Lucky no rider was hit by the flying motorcycles
Yes. Even Birt says this is THE BIG ONE.
Sam Lowes got hit
yes
I did see someone limping, and holding their arm. I think someone is hurt. Clearly this should bea good reason to change any track layout..
...and flying riders.
Prime example of how well these riders handle accidents, it's impressive to see their reaction times in the midst of all the chaos.
they have bullet time reflexes
Yes you see 5 bikes on the ground and you keep pushing, falling and sending your bike towards them, it was luck nobody got hit
@@paulmartom you clearly don't ride.. (que "IvE BeEn rIdINg mY h2R fOr 38 YeArS yOu tWaT")
It looks like half of their reactions were to crash. That's not that great.
Impressive how garbage was the reaction from race direction and stewards
safety in rider equipment and track design has come so far. really grateful everyone got to walk away from this. losing grip suddenly is horrifying enough in a car, cant even imagine what its like on a bike at this speed.
losing grip on a bike is like being ejected out of the window of a car, you just lose full control and hope you don't hit a stationary object.
Lies again? Slow Refund
Luckily it happens so fast you don't have time to worry about how scary it is.
I'm still hoping for an airbag suit in the future which ultimately makes it down to regular street riders.
Not that bad if you LOW SIDE...
bUT if you slide the back of the throttle.. the tyre regains grip and flings you over the top... usually abou 7 feet into the air and often through the handlebars....
nasty
For those wondering what caused the crash; it started raining and they're on slicks.
It looks like they went over the same puddle, but you can't see it.
Ok, thank you for a information. 😮😃
so it just started raining on that corner? cause there was nothing the corner before, 50 yards up, they all lost grip at the exact same spot, look at replay, I would imagine slick substance on the spot !

I am a car geek and I am also a motorcyclist, but I personally feel like many can agree when I say that Moto gp is easiliest the most dangerous Motorsport of all time. I cannot imagine the pain after flying off of a bike at 100+ mph. Everyone in this video is pretty lucky.
it as always amazed me the wat F1 goes on about safety and how fast the cars are. Do the F1 guys realise these bikes go nearly as fast and have no carbon reinforced etc cockpits. these are the guys who have no fear
@@garymurphy5133 as an f1 fan

@@garymurphy5133 tbf F1 can lap motogp in under 5 laps in a race track, that demands quicker reaction time and cornering/braking Gs stress to the drivers.
@@redactedrider7606 many have died in MotoGP
@@WarayF1 because it’s a car. Also quicker reaction time is debatable. With a bike you can not make the quick adjustments like you can in a car with a wheel. The riders need insane reaction speeds.
🙏Thankfully, no serious injuries! Feel so bad for the riders that couldn't restart! Rules unfair for an incident like this, for classes that run only 1 bike! Hope track officials can find a better way to let riders know sooner about wet corners!
Rain flags were already out before they entered the corner, there is no way to let them know any other way
How is it unfair?
i agree with you
Other drivers made the turn so its not unfair
The rules are fair.
That the situation sucks doesn't mean the rules are unfair.
That was scary. Thankfully it looks like everyone walked away okay. It's amazing how far safety gear and regulations have come on the drivers and on the track to mitigate the potential disaster of people and bikes flying at 100 mph into a corner. Still could have been terrible.
Synchronised Stacking!😱 How some of those riders escaped the flying debris is amazing!🙏🏻
Ever since my cousin passed in a bike crash I've developed such a fear that I can't realistically ride a bike anymore so I've been more on the formula racing side of motorsports. That being said though, motogp riders are absolutely insane for having the balls to corner at those speeds. Glad everyone walked out
Im sorry to hear that
MotoGP is considered tamed but for Isle Of Man showdown, heck NO
@@hybridShinx MotoGP is not tame. It’s racing at the highest skill level possible. Isle of Man is nuts but they riders are obviously not as good (don’t get me wrong they are still great and absolutely nuts even more so than MotoGP riders). It’s an Event for adrenaline junkies.
Really glad there were no serious injuries, that’s the main thing. Super unfair to the riders who were not allowed to race. Can’t see the 5 minute rule being relevant here. Understandable if the bikes were not salvageable after the crash but those riders should’ve been given another fighting chance.
Isn’t it fair that those who didn’t crash get to continue, but those who crash don’t?
@@philsb9388 No but there is not much you can do. It's not like they can make a bike in 5 minutes.

It would be nice if the media gave recognition to Marshall's and medics, otherwise there wouldn't be any racing at all.
That’s just crazy to see 3 high sides like that in a row with no contact between them. Was there a track issue there? Glad everyone is ok.
I watches this multiple times. The first 3 riders went down at almost the exact same time, meaning they all hit the throttle and the same patch of ground at the same time. Then every other rider that fell hit the same patch that made them lose and regain traction. I think the track was slightly too wet and they had the wrong tires on according to some other people that posted.
@@badassadmin yes. Those 29 riders used slicks when rain hit.

Ai's jump was incredible😳
I thought he got hit by another bike as seen at 0:17
It’s amazing seeing all the rider look after each other when they crash
That was just so unfortunate. People need to stop complaining because no rule in the world could've foreseen or prevented that crash. Even if they all had 2nd bikes setup for wet, most of the circuit was still too dry for wets and I bet if it was motogp they'd have stayed out on slicks as well. Changing the track layout? That could've happened anywhere on any circuit. Sh*t happens sometimes in racing. They were just all caught by surprise by the first sector being wetter than the last few laps they rode there.
I'm even gonna go as far as agreeing with the riders not being allowed to re-join. Yes it's unlucky and not their fault that they crashed, but what's also luck based is whose bike has less damage than the other, so allowing riders with fixed bikes to re-join doesn't at all solve the problem. It just adds more luck to the equation. Now that's something that having 2 bikes could fix, but as long as they have 1 bike I agree with the decision.
They should've red flagged the race once marshalls in that corner noticed the racing surface was fully wet. Rain flags are meant for when rain is falling. If this had happened in GP they can do flag to flag so it's up to the riders to decide when to come in and switch to rains. In Moto2 if the track is wet, it's up to race officials to stop the race so the teams can switch to wets. What should've happened is after the crash, the race should have reverted to the previous lap for the finishing order and half points should've been awarded.
@@thedoctorchocolate they can't finishing it, it just 9 laps. In the rule they should continue it after red flag.
That dude was jumping off his bike before it was even falling. Very impressive reaction time.
The scene at 1:23 is just unbelievable. Imagine getting out of a crash and then having a bike explode in front of you.
Almost seems like the scariest thing isn't so much crashing by itself but if someone else crashes behind you their bike could come flying at you.
Wow, the bike Gods we’re watching out for all the riders in that mess! That easily could have ended so much worse than it did.

I hope race director becoming more wishes on future to decide dry or wet race. It's important for riders safety. Such small aquaplaning can be so dangerous.
stop complaining, it's so sudden and not a human fault!
It was a dry start. All the teams agreed.
@@zondor8123 it's not complaining. Evaluation required as safety is the 1st priority for the riders. May whether unpredictable, but some data and track condition can be as reference in the future. Gladly the riders are safe.

I don't mean to make light of this but the last dude saw the rest off the track path and was thinking " this looks fun" let me try 😄
All praise to the invention of the "airbag" racing leathers, which as far as I can see saved at least half of the crashing riders from more serious injury. That's got to be a new point for street riding sooner rather than later. For those who are ATGATT types, anyway.
I've been selling the Alpinestars systems for years at the shop i work at. More and more riders are using the systems on and off the track. It's good to see.
I always ride with my Alpinestar airbag even at 90+ degrees. I love the airbag system and would highly recommend it.
What air bag? I don't know about it please enlighten me
@@ggggerryggg8170 in 2004 Alpinestars started developing a airbag system that fits inside of leathers. We call it the Tech Air Race system today. They have also developed 3 other systems designed for different riders needs. They are probably the peak of safety we have made and I don't see how they can get safer.

Jesus that got my anxiety up for a minute there. Still remember watching the Shoya Tomizawa incident in Moto2 as it happened, thank god they were all all okay...
Impressive Marshalls…a total of only 13 seconds to ditch the stretcher, run to get a fire extinguisher, and run out to the bike and start putting out the flames. That’s professional.

Remember two teenagers dying in Indianapolis.
I guess that is why the riders are young....fearless.

Wau what happening ... glad the riders is ok
Maybe they should implement the hairpin at Turn 1, then the approaching speed is not that high anymore🤔
I wonder why they don't use it for F1 either
@Damar Fadlan Why though? For motorcycles it would be a horrible long braking zone, but for F1 it would be a nice challenge as the drivers have to brake on top of the hill and then downwards (same as MotoGP now with the faster layout)
Oh no, why can't it fall, keep the spirit of the MotoGP racers 🏁💪💪
No flags anywhere, even after the bikes crashed
Absolutely disgusting
Damn straight. The marshalls there need to be educated on what their most important job is, waving the right flag at the right time!!

These guys are warriors risking their shit every time they step on the motorcycle. Respect!
What the fuuuuuuuuuck? :O
That was crazy.
The good thing is you'll never get trapped inside a burning motorcycle.
Why didn't the Yellow Flag come out at that curve after the first set of riders went down or after the second set of riders went down? The Yellow Flag would of minimized the carnage. Also, that part of the track has a very large run off area for safety, so it makes seeing the flags early on difficult. I am glad that there were no serious injuries, but definitely some safety problems to look at.
I think it did, if you look closely at the martial behind the barrier, I'm pretty sure he's waiving a yellow. Which if true, makes the situation more confusing.
