I got back in riding in March. Got a 05 Gsxr 750. Fun , fast but my back didn’t like me. A guy was willing to trade his 07 dyna. Bam! I have to add an ultra cool oil cooler bc it gets way hot after 20-30 miles on the freeway and it stalls when I stop at a light. It also might be the engine temp sensor. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your story. Very similar to mine.

I was hit by a car while on my Speed Triple, causing a lot of permanent injuries. I spent a lot to rebuild it, but I couldn't ride more than 45 minutes at a time, due to injuries. It was then stolen, but I bought a 99 Dyna, and I am loving it. It is much easier to shift, sit on and ride for much longer than 45 minutes a day.
I chose a Dyna because I wanted a sporty bike, but one that was large enough to push into a touring role with a passenger. I have some work to do to it, but I like learning about the bike as well. It's what I wanted. This is my first Harley, and it is sinking in as to why so many people love these bikes.
I feel your pain. 100% agree though getting a harley kinda revived my mental and physical and gave me a new start
bro you gotta ditch the saddleman! im a harley tech so ive ridden bikes with every kind of seat, and in my opinion saddleman is by far the least comfortable. if you want the support for wheelies, go with corbin or something else with more padding.
So far I like it but that’s compared to the thin lepera barebones I got the bike with. I might try Corbin at some point tbh but I’m with Born Scum so I may stick with saddle man and get a custom one from them. Appreciate it man!

It’s a 2009 and the fairing is the Memphis shaded road warrior with an 11” shield
