by the way the female lead didn't decide to call the male lead tanaka but decided to call him kou his first name cause he didn't want to be called tanaka but she couldn't call him mabuchi cause tanaka kou will not exist . in japan we call people by their surname's only when we are close to them we can call them by their first name
