I had to laugh as I looked at that shock and thought you will need to change that next. Done the same thing on my Kangoo, changed the gaiters and one of the shocks started leaking a couple of months later.
it's a must to clean the rust from the threads of suspension screws with a wirebrush before unscrewing, as this avoids rust accumulating and blockage inside the nut.
