One thing I noticed was you were turning the wheels while sitting still. The 1700 was the last year to only run the manual steering gear and if you turn it while sitting still it will put alot of stress on the ball gears and sector shaft. Better for it to start rolling before turning.

All I do is type the part in ebay to find it and get part numbers. Then I look around for those numbers. Prices are all over the place. I would want you to get the best deal you could find. I only buy parts that seem like good quality and have good shipping times/prices. Good luck thanks for watching and commenting
