- DA leader John Steenhuisen has promised that if the Western Cape remains blue after the national elections, the government will provide jobs for everyone looking for one. Steenhuisen was the keynote speaker at the DA's Workers' Day celebrations in Mitchells Plein in Cape Town.
According to Steenhuisen, the party has created eight out of every ten jobs in the country over the past five years. He added that in the last year, the party had created 360 000 jobs. The DA has been running the province for nearly a decade.

Its the lowest unemployment in all of SA though. Every anc ward has the highest murder rate in WC. So DA is winning in these categories not antiDA supporters or areas with a few DA but 5 anc lite groups

@@cloudstrife8791 DA draft provincial and metro budgets ,DA have oversight irregardless of who is the councillor in ward .,Crime prevention is not solely in policing ,there are a lot of drivers to crime that can be addressed within provincial governments ,there is no spend balance ,ward population ratio.Nyanga and Edgemead shoud not have same budget ,Manenberg and Claremont should not be equalized in spending ,budget should be how densely populated the area is .
