Ingredients for Chicken Stir Fry:
Prep Time - 15 mins
Cooking Time - 15 mins
(Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon)
- Boneless Chicken - 1 lb or 450 gms (cut into bite sized pieces)
Seasoning for the Chicken:
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- White Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Dark Soy Sauce- 1/2 tsp
Vegetables:
- Broccoli florets- 2 US cup measure (100 gms)
- Carrots, sliced- 1 US cup measure (90 gms)
- Red Bell Pepper- 1 US cup measure (90 gms)
- Yellow Bell Pepper- 1 US cup measure (90 gms)
- Garlic, chopped- 2 tsp (around 4 cloves)
- Ginger, chopped- 1.5 tsp
Stir Fry Sauces:
- Chicken Stock- 1/4 cup (can use readymade low sodium chicken broth/stock too)
- Dark Soy Sauce- 2.5 tsp
- Red Chilli Sauce- 3 tsp
- Honey- 1 tbsp
- Corn slurry- 2 tsp corn flour/starch (Mixed in 1 tbsp water)
- Sesame Oil- 2 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Oil- 2-3 tbsp
- Salt- to season
- Pepper Powder- 1/4 tsp
Preparation:
Cut the boneless chicken into bite sized pieces.
Take out the broccoli florets, cut the carrots into slices and the red & yellow peppers into cubes.
Also peel and chop the garlic and ginger.
Process:
- Heat oil in a wok and add the chicken pieces. Give a stir for 30 secs and then add salt & white pepper powder to season the chicken.
- Now stir fry on high heat for around 2-3 mins and then add 1/2 tsp Dark Soy Sauce. Give a mix and continue to stir fry on high heat for another 2-3 mins till the water has completely dried up and the chicken is fried and browned.
- Remove and set aside on a plate.
- In the same oil, add the chopped garlic & ginger. Give a stir for 15 secs and then add the sliced carrots and cubed red & yellow peppers. Mix and stir fry on high heat for 1 minute before adding the broccoli florets. Also add salt to season (a pinch) and 1/4 tsp pepper powder. Give a mix and continue to stir fry on high heat for 2 mins.
- Now add the sautéed chicken pieces and give a mix on high heat for 1 minute.
- Add the Dark Soy Sauce, Chicken broth, Red Chilli Sauce and honey. Give a mix and stir fry on high heat for around 2 mins till the sauce has nearly dried up.
- Now add the corn slurry and the sesame oil, give a mix and continue to stir fry on high heat for 1 min till all the sauce has dried up and coats the chicken and vegetables.

I will first start out by saying, this is my favorite channel at this time. I love the way you do your videos, giving us the ingredients and amounts as you go. No extra fluff that can be confusing and at times annoying. Another thing I love about this channel is you’re not forced to join or subscribe if you see a recipe you might wanna try. But I subscribed to this channel anyway. How could you not? I’ve been cooking for about a year now. I’m 56 years old and in early retirement. I love cooking. I didn’t know it till I retired. I made a cashew chicken curry and it actually turned out very yummy. My girl was surprised and said “ i’ve always wanted to cook Asian food but I was too scared” I thought it was difficult. Also, I just made your Stirfry chicken right now. It was great and it’s going into my menu book. And I’m sure more of your recipes will end up in my book and I thank you so much. Made this tonight. Changed up the veg with some Chinese long beans, wax beans, red pepper, cabbage and zucchini. Added a little oyster sauce and lime juice. Served with brown rice and scallions.

This was a great flavored dinner for us. Highly recommended. Do all the prep work before dinner, then relax into cocktails. Make the rice, and when rice is ready build the dinner. Fresh ginger, garlic, chives, chilis for heat gives a great flavor. And every waiter says, 'enjoy!'

This recipe is the best I’ve ever made, I tweaked it a bit, by adding a few extra vegetables ( like 1 cup zucchini sliced and two cups sliced cabbage to the mix and it came out fantastic 👍love it. With jasmine rice.:)

- Kip zonder been - 1 lb of 450 gram (in hapklare stukjes gesneden)
Kruiden voor de kip:
- Zout - 1/2 theelepel
- Witte peperpoeder - 1/2 theelepel
- Donkere sojasaus - 1/2 theelepel
Groenten:
- Broccoliroosjes - 2 Amerikaanse maatbekers (100 gram)
- Wortelen, in plakjes gesneden - 1 Amerikaanse maatbeker (90 gram)
- Rode paprika - 1 Amerikaanse kopmaat (90 gram)
- Gele paprika - 1 Amerikaanse maatbeker (90 gram)
- Knoflook, gehakt - 2 theelepels (ongeveer 4 teentjes)
- Gember, gehakt - 1,5 theelepel
Roerbaksausen:
- Kippenbouillon - 1/4 kopje (kan ook kant-en-klare kippenbouillon/bouillon met laag natriumgehalte worden gebruikt)
- Donkere sojasaus - 2,5 theelepel
- Rode chilisaus - 3 theelepels
- Honing - 1 eetl
- Maïsslurry - 2 theelepels maïsmeel/zetmeel (gemengd in 1 eetlepel water)
- Sesamolie - 2 theelepels
Andere ingrediënten:
-Olie- 2-3 el
- Zout om op smaak te brengen
- Peperpoeder - 1/4 theelepel
Voorbereiding:
Snijd de kip zonder bot in hapklare stukjes.
Haal de broccoliroosjes eruit, snijd de wortels in plakjes en de rode en gele paprika in blokjes.
Pel en snij ook de knoflook en gember.
Proces:
- Verhit de olie in een wok en voeg de stukken kip toe. Roer gedurende 30 seconden en voeg dan zout en witte peperpoeder toe om de kip op smaak te brengen.
- Roerbak nu ongeveer 2-3 minuten op hoog vuur en voeg dan 1/2 theelepel donkere sojasaus toe. Voeg een mengsel toe en roerbak nog 2-3 minuten op hoog vuur tot het water volledig is opgedroogd en de kip gebakken en bruin is.
- Haal ze eruit en zet ze op een bord.
- Voeg in dezelfde olie de gehakte knoflook en gember toe. Roer gedurende 15 seconden en voeg dan de gesneden wortelen en de in blokjes gesneden rode en gele paprika toe. Meng en roerbak op hoog vuur gedurende 1 minuut voordat je de broccoliroosjes toevoegt. Voeg ook zout toe om op smaak te brengen (een snufje) en 1/4 theelepel peperpoeder. Geef een mengsel en blijf 2 minuten op hoog vuur roerbakken.
- Voeg nu de gebakken stukjes kip toe en laat 1 minuut op hoog vuur mixen.
- Voeg de donkere sojasaus, kippenbouillon, rode chilisaus en honing toe. Voeg een mengsel toe en roerbak op hoog vuur gedurende ongeveer 2 minuten tot de saus bijna is opgedroogd.
- Voeg nu de maïsbrij en de sesamolie toe, geef een mengsel en blijf 1 minuut op hoog vuur roerbakken tot alle saus is opgedroogd en de kip en groenten bedekt.

🙏Thanks for sharing this recipe, tried it for dinner & it came out really well, except for the fact the broccoli 🥦 remained a bit hard, didn’t get cooked well enough!. Is it better to boil them for a couple of minutes before I put them in the wok with the other vegetables?. Btw, I also added some chopped spring onions & it tasted really good!.👌

As for the broccoli, you could add it initially along with the other vegetables. Boiling the broccoli and then cooking alters the colour and doesn’t look too pleasing 😊

For stir fry you need very high heat. This is more like stir boil chicken.

I made this and it was delicious! The only thing I did different was microwave my veggies for five minutes before stir frying because I prefer them more cooked. Great recipes!

Looks so good. Would you ever cover the wok whilst the chicken is cooking to avoid the meat getting chewy?
I would not. As this is boneless chicken and in my experience it cooks really fast on high flame, so I never cover it while stir frying. Just remember to keep the flame high and keep stirring to avoid it sticking to the pan. Hope this helps:)
