What a rip off. My local bakery that has been running for 65 years makes donuts just as good if not better then this for a huge total of 85 Cents a doughnut.
There's a place in Miami that charges 50 bucks for a 10 or 12 pack of donuts. Nathan Figueroa has a recent video of it. I'll stick to my local places, like you said, that are waay cheaper.

you have to have the taste to admire a gourmet doughnut, in Newcastle nsw we have a place called dough-heads and they do gourmet doughnuts similar, such as nutella, vanilla bean, strawberry ripple, jamming Jaffa, and other flavors too.
Greg, do you have Krispy Kreme in Australia? In the USA it's a chain store with a conveyor belt and a light up sign. When the conveyor belt is turned on and fresh donuts are being made, the sign lights up and says HOT. You can eat donuts that are still hot because they just came off the conveyor belt. It's my favorite.
Those donuts looked delicious, but the price. Ouch! Hey Greg, I almost choked to death on some powdered donut holes. Had a bad case of the munchies and put three or four of them in my mouth. lol...good review.

When you broke the donuts in half they did remind me of standard supermarket one's... a tad stodgy? A pop-up donut shop opened in my town (Uncle Donut) and the locals emptied the shop quite quickly every day in the first week. I tried them and was so disappointed. Never went back. But the best donuts I've had in my life were in Melbourne last year. $5ish per donut but each bite is like sugary heaven. And any toppings go beyond confectionary decoration and crumbs on your car seat. Melt in your mouth donut heroin. They recommend you eat them within a couple of hours of purchasing! "Shortstop Donuts"! 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩

You were generous giving them 6/10. Sounds like our Krispy Kreme donut shops here in California. They are grossly over priced, and they don't taste any better than the donuts that I can buy at Costco or Walmart.
Damn that is expensive i live in N.C. and you can get a dozen assorted at a great place here for 5.95 on Thursday every week lol. They look good though but again that is a high priced way to get a sugar rush lol.

It's not a nugget, it's a piece of Cadbury Flake bites. Tiny versions of the regular Cadbury Flake chocolate bar we have here in Aus. And the Gaytime donut filling is just similar to toffee/honeycomb flavour which is the original Golden Gaytime Ice Cream flavouring.
That's good. How about gas? Here in Ozark, Missouri it is $2.54 a gallon. By the way I love your cooking show. I used to watch your Garden show a few years back. Loved those. Maybe they're called donut wholes because they have no holes. But they are small, the powdered ones can be dangerous if not careful.
You can get a dozen doughnuts from an artisan shop in the US for the price of the two purchased.
